Abstract

Social and digital change has reshaped the behavior of young people, making moral development through Islamic education an important need in family, school, and community life. This study is necessary because discussions of Islamic education remain normative, while the connection between moral formation, digital challenges, and youth development strategies is not yet explained concretely. The first research question asks how Islamic education contributes to developing the morals of young people, and the objective is to analyze its function in cultivating faith, worship, social ethics, and moral responsibility. The data were processed through library research by examining Qur’anic verses, books, and Indonesian scholarly journals published from 2020 to 2025, then analyzed using a descriptive-qualitative approach. The findings show that Islamic education contributes through six main aspects: exemplary conduct, worship habituation, advice, supervision, religious school culture, and Islamic digital literacy. This study concludes that Islamic education can form religious, polite, disciplined, caring, and wise young people who respond responsibly to changing times.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education in the modern era faces significant changes because students live in a digital environment that requires active, contextual, creative learning rather than memorization-based instruction. However, studies on Project-Based Learning in Islamic Religious Education still mostly emphasize learning outcomes, while its relevance to modern Islamic education, digital literacy, and moral formation requires deeper analysis. The research problem is how Project-Based Learning is relevant to the needs of modern Islamic Religious Education, and the objective is to analyze the role of PjBL in developing active, meaningful, and applicable Islamic learning. The data were processed through library research by selecting, classifying, reducing, and analyzing Indonesian books and journal articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings show that PjBL strengthens five main aspects: religious understanding, collaboration, creativity, Islamic digital literacy, and students’ social responsibility. Therefore, PjBL is relevant for modern Islamic Religious Education because it connects Islamic teachings with students’ real-life practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the revitalization of moral education as a foundation for strengthening religious moderation among Generation Z amid the dynamics of digitalization. The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced the mindset, behavior, and character of the younger generation, both positively and negatively. Phenomena such as intolerance, hate speech, the spread of hoaxes, and the decline of communication ethics on social media indicate the importance of strengthening moral education in the lives of Generation Z. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research as its method. The research data were obtained from various literature sources, including books, scientific journals, research articles, and official documents related to moral education, religious moderation, Generation Z, and digitalization. The data analysis technique used was content analysis through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the revitalization of moral education plays an important role in shaping the character of Generation Z to become tolerant, wise, and capable of applying the values of religious moderation amid the development of digital technology. Moral education also functions as a means to strengthen tolerance, respect diversity, and prevent the growth of extremism and intolerance in the digital sphere.

Abstract

The diversity of Qur'an reading abilities among students at the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPA) poses a challenge in implementing effective learning because each student has a different level of learning readiness. This condition requires the implementation of learning strategies that can accommodate differences in abilities so that the learning process takes place optimally. This study aims to analyze the implementation of differentiated learning at TPA Baiturrahim and identify learning strategies that support the improvement of Qur'an reading and memorization abilities among students. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through repeated observations conducted over a month, semi-structured interviews with two educators, namely Ustadz Faisal and Ustadzah Ika, and documentation in the form of memorization control books and learning documents. Data analysis used the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model through the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The research results show that differentiated learning is implemented through grouping students based on their Quranic reading ability, using the talqin method according to the characteristics of the study group, implementing a repetition system until learning completion is achieved, utilizing memorization control books as a tool for monitoring student progress, and implementing joint recitations to reinforce memorization. This strategy allows each student to receive learning services tailored to their abilities without having to follow the same targets uniformly. This research demonstrates that the effectiveness of learning in TPA (Teaching and Recitation Center) is determined not only by the teaching method but also by adaptive learning management through the integration of ability-based grouping, continuous evaluation, a repetition system, and recitations. These findings contribute to the development of a differentiated learning model based on completion that can be an alternative for developing learning in non-formal Quranic education institutions.

Abstract

Inequality in economic growth between sectors is one of the main obstacles faced in regional development, including in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. This regency has significant natural resource wealth, but its utilization is still uneven in supporting sustainable economic growth. This study aims to evaluate the potential of the economic sector in Bengkayang Regency during the 2018-2022 period by applying the Shift Share method and Klassen Typology. The Shift Share method is applied to evaluate the effect of national economic growth on economic sectors in Bengkayang Regency, identifying components of national growth, sector proportions, and sectoral competitiveness. Meanwhile, the Klassen Typology is used to group economic sectors based on their contribution to the economy and their growth rate into four quadrant categories. This study uses data on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Bengkayang Regency for the 2018-2022 period based on constant prices. The research findings indicate that the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors are the mainstay sectors in quadrant 1 (advanced sectors with rapid growth), showing more prominent growth compared to other sectors. Meanwhile, sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, and transportation and warehousing are categorized in quadrant 4 (relatively lagging sectors) requiring special attention for further development.

Abstract

This study examines and examines related issues, first, the considerations of judges in handling criminal acts of assault committed by members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces against their subordinates. Second, it examines criminal liability for criminal acts of assault committed by members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces against their subordinates. This study uses normative legal research methods that are both prescriptive and applied, with a statutory approach, a case approach, the criminal liability approach in the Criminal Code (KUHP), and a conceptual approach. The data collection technique used was a literature study, with research instruments consisting of court decisions, laws and regulations, and scientific literature. Furthermore, the analytical technique used was a deductive method. This study concludes that, first, judges should not only consider criminal liability for the direct perpetrator but also assess the possibility of criminal liability for the commander under Articles 129 and 132 of the Criminal Code. The existence of a command relationship between the perpetrator and the commander, the commander's knowledge of the violence that occurred, and indications of failure to carry out their supervisory, development, and prevention functions towards subordinates are relevant grounds for applying command liability. Second, criminal liability in the military environment still focuses on the direct perpetrator (direct perpetrator liability) as regulated in the Criminal Code, because the concept of command responsibility has not been explicitly regulated in the Indonesian military criminal law system.

Abstract

This research discusses the orientalist view of Sufism and the objectivity of the study of orientalism in understanding Islamic spirituality. Sufism is one of the important dimensions of Islamic teachings that emphasizes the purification of the soul, the formation of morals, and the approach of oneself to Allah. In its development, Sufism became the object of attention of Western orientalists who sought to study the history, teachings, and figures of Sufi through various academic approaches. The study of orientalism made a major contribution to the development of Islamic studies, especially through the translation of classical manuscripts, scientific research, and the introduction of Sufism to the Western world. However, the study also raises various debates because some orientalists are considered to have a civilizational bias in understanding Sufism. Some orientalists view Sufism as the result of the influence of traditions outside of Islam such as Neo-Platonism, Christianity, Hinduism, and Persia, while Muslim scholars assert that Sufism has a strong foundation in the Qur'an and Hadith. Data were obtained from books, journals, scientific articles, and works by Muslim orientalists and scholars related to the research theme. The analysis technique used is descriptive-critical analysis to understand the contribution as well as criticize the objectivity of the study of orientalism on Sufism. The results of the study show that orientalism has two different sides, namely making a great academic contribution to the study of Sufism while giving birth to interpretations that are sometimes influenced by Western perspectives and interests. Therefore, the study of orientalism on Sufism needs to be understood critically and proportionately so that Sufism is still understood as an integral part of Islamic teachings and is inseparable from its spiritual, theological, and moral dimensions.
