Abstract

Technological advancements in agriculture have driven the development of Global Positioning System (GPS)-sensor-based smart tractors to overcome the limitations of conventional hand tractors, especially in wetland areas with challenging field conditions. This study aims to analyze the performance comparison between hand tractors and GPS-sensor smart tractors using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on the PRISMA method. From 60 reviewed articles, 15 met the inclusion criteria and were thoroughly analyzed. The results indicate that smart tractors excel in navigation accuracy, work path efficiency, and real-time data documentation, although they require higher initial investment. Conversely, hand tractors remain relevant for small-scale farmers due to their lower operational and maintenance costs. This evaluation provides a comprehensive overview of the effectiveness of both technologies and their implications for wetland agricultural productivity. The study recommends further development of smart tractors that are more adaptive, cost-effective, and suitable for the local farming context in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between cognitive reserve capacity and quality of life in the elderly. Cognitive reserve capacity is the brain's ability to optimize its function and prevent damage that can affect cognition. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 109 elderly people in Krendang Village, West Jakarta, in February 2024. Inclusion criteria included elderly people aged 60-79 years who were able to read, write, and communicate in Indonesian, were in good health or medically controlled condition, and had good hearing and vision. The variables studied were cognitive reserve capacity and quality of life, as assessed by the WHOQoL-BREF instrument. Data analysis was performed using an unpaired t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and linear regression. The results showed that the quality of life of the elderly was more optimal in the physical and environmental domains, while the psychological and social relationship domains were suboptimal. There was a significant correlation between cognitive reserve capacity and quality of life (p<0.05), with moderate correlations in the physical domain (rp=0.42) and social relationships (rp=0.42), and weak correlations in the psychological domain (rp=0.26) and environment (rp=0.26). Sociodemographic factors significantly related to quality of life included gender, education, residence with family, and financial resources. Conclusion: Cognitive reserve capacity is related to quality of life in the elderly, especially in the physical domain and social relationships.

Abstract

The coffee shop industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth with intense competition, requiring frontliners to display positive emotional behavior in serving customers. However, high emotional demands can potentially cause burnout which may decrease employee performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional behavior and work motivation on the performance of coffee shop frontliners in Samarinda City with burnout as a mediating variable. The research method uses a quantitative approach with convenience sampling technique, involving 30 coffee shop frontliner respondents in Samarinda. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results show that emotional behavior and work motivation have no significant effect on frontliner performance or burnout. Conversely, burnout was proven to have a negative and significant effect on performance (significance 0.010), meaning that the higher the level of burnout, the lower the frontliner performance. The Sobel mediation test shows that burnout does not mediate the relationship between emotional behavior and performance or between work motivation and performance. This finding indicates that burnout acts as an independent variable that directly affects performance, not as an intervening variable. This study concludes that burnout is a key factor determining the quality of coffee shop frontliner performance, therefore coffee shop managers need to focus on burnout prevention and management strategies to maintain optimal service performance.

Abstract

Preparing healthy mothers-to-be is one of the efforts to prevent the birth of stunted babies. However, the number of early marriage incidents in East Java is still high in direct proportion to the high divorce rate, so the ideal of creating healthy mothers-to-be is hampered by the phenomenon of marriage and divorce in adolescence, even at school age which is later known as School-Age Widows (JUS). The results of the 2023 Family Data Collection in East Java show that there are 856 people under the age of 15, while the number of JUS aged 15 to 19 years reaches 2,922 people. Of this figure, Jember Regency is ranked the highest, namely with 189 JUS. This situation will have various effects on women's reproductive health, especially in the situation of adolescent pregnancy which has the potential to become the birth of a stunted baby. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the JUS group to map the current reproductive health status, for the purpose of mapping the right solution in order to prevent the recurrence of adolescent pregnancies that are at risk of giving birth to stunted babies. The population is the entire JUS in Sumbersari District as many as 39 people, while the sample is part of the population of 30 people taken by the purposive sampling method. In this study, the researcher presented the results of the measurement of research data in the form of quantitative data calculated by percentage descriptive technique. The percentage descriptive analysis technique is intended to determine the status of variables, namely to describe reproductive health characteristics related to potential stunting in JUS

Abstract

This study explores the application of the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) framework in supporting community-based event management in Sibandang Island. As a part of the Toba Caldera UNESCO Global Geopark, Sibandang Island holds cultural and natural significance yet faces challenges in mobilizing local capacity for tourism events such as the annual community festival (pesta rakyat). Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews with residents, community leaders, and organizers, and analyzed using NVivo to map community assets. Findings show six primary asset categories: human, social, economic, physical, natural, and cultural-spiritual assets. The integration of these assets supports the 3A elements in tourism (Attraction, Accessibility, Amenities) but also reveals gaps in infrastructure and capacity. Despite challenges in logistics, infrastructure, and management capacity, the ABCD approach enabled strong community ownership and enhanced social cohesion.
