Abstract

Sasirangan cloth is a cultural heritage of Banjarmasin City, possessing historical, philosophical, and economic value as a leading product of the craft sub-sector. However, the development of the modern fashion industry and digital transformation has caused MSMEs producing sasirangan cloth to face various challenges, particularly in motif innovation, business management, and digital marketing. Sasirangan products are still dominated by traditional motifs, making them less attractive to the younger generation, who tend to prefer contemporary designs and digital media-based promotions. Furthermore, limited digital literacy and the suboptimal use of social media and marketplaces have resulted in low product competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market. This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to strengthen the identity of sasirangan cloth through contemporary motif diversification and digital marketing transformation to increase the competitiveness of MSME artisans in Banjarmasin City. The implementation method is carried out through stages of socialization and training. Key activities include promoting the use of websites for MSME product marketing and training in Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based motif design. This program has resulted in innovative contemporary sasirangan motifs that maintain the philosophical values ​​of local culture, increased artisan capacity in business management and digital marketing, and developed a website for product promotion and branding. With this program, it is hoped that MSMEs producing sasirangan cloth will be able to increase product visibility, expand market reach, and strengthen the sustainability of the local wisdom-based creative economy in Banjarmasin City.

Abstract

This community service activity is driven by the low level of digital literacy among rural communities, particularly farmers in Grujugan Lor Village, Bondowoso Regency, which poses a major obstacle to optimizing agrotechnological adoption. Most farmers still rely on conventional methods and utilize the internet limitedly for entertainment. The purpose of this program is to enhance the digital literacy capacity of farmers by optimizing Facebook Professional (FB Pro) features as a medium for disseminating agricultural information and creating income opportunities. The implementation method involved a participatory workshop (comprising 30% theory and 70% hands-on practice) attended by the Women Farmers Group (KWT) of Grujugan Lor Village. The activity stages encompassed field surveys, partner coordination, module development, FB Pro account management simulation, and practice-based monitoring and evaluation. The monitoring and evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' digital understanding and skills, demonstrated by their ability to independently configure accounts and produce engaging agrotechnological content. In conclusion, the workshop was successfully implemented; hence, continuous assistance from field extension officers is highly recommended to maintain consistency in agricultural content production by the partners.

Abstract

This community service research aims to improve students’ understanding of fiqh al-‘ibadah through the implementation of the MARHABA (Media Rukun dan Hukum Ibadah Berbasis Arena) learning media, which was developed in the form of an educational Monopoly-based game. The program was conducted at SMPN 1 Siman and involved 32 students as participants in a three-day  Ramadhan Camp program. The method employed in this study was based on the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, and implementation. The MARHABA media integrates fiqh al-‘ibadah materials through questions, challenges, and guided practice of  worship movements carried out collaboratively in groups. The results of the program indicate that the use of MARHABA successfully created a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment,  increased students’ engagement, and helped them better understand and practice the pillars and movements of worship. Therefore, MARHABA can serve as an innovative alternative learning media for Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

Adolescents in Islamic boarding schools are often confronted with dual academic demands that may trigger mental fatigue and threaten their subjective well-being. Therefore, mastery of learning ethics (adab) and self-regulation skills is considered essential for maintaining students’ psychological resilience and academic adjustment. This community service program aimed to strengthen students’ psychological capacities through a participatory psychoeducational intervention. The program integrated Islamic learning ethics with contemporary educational psychology while accommodating differentiated learning approaches. To ensure measurement validity, the cognitive evaluation instrument was developed through a content validity approach by adapting the fundamental principles of standardized psychological scales. The data were then analyzed using the Normalized Gain (N-Gain) method. The findings revealed that the psychoeducational intervention was highly effective, achieving an overall average N-Gain score of 0.79 (high category). The most substantial improvement was observed in peer-support awareness (peer counseling), with an N-Gain score of 0.87, increasing from 72.73% to 96.40%. The remaining indicators, learning ethics, self-regulated learning, and subjective well-being, demonstrated moderate gains (0.52–0.69), which can be attributed to the participants’ relatively high baseline scores (ceiling effect). The intervention successfully enhanced students’ understanding of peer support and constructive coping strategies. Accordingly, this psychoeducational model is recommended for continuous integration into Islamic boarding school dormitory curricula to foster resilient, self-regulated, and ethically grounded students.

Abstract

MSME empowerment based on Islamic financial literacy and the digitalization of featured products is an important strategy for strengthening an inclusive and sustainable local economy. This community service program aimed to improve the capacity of Lipeksi MSME actors to understand Islamic financial principles, manage business finances transparently, and utilize digital technology for product marketing. The program was implemented through needs analysis, training and workshops, group discussions, mentoring, and assistance. The materials covered Islamic financial principles, capital management, simple financial recording, the use of digital financial applications, online marketing, and the strengthening of featured products. The results show that participants improved their understanding of Islamic financial literacy, particularly in transaction transparency, separation of personal and business finances, and awareness of Islamic financing alternatives. Participants also demonstrated greater readiness to use digital media, financial applications, and online platforms as tools for business promotion and management. Group discussions strengthened networking among MSMEs, while mentoring helped participants apply the training materials to their daily business practices. The discussion indicates that integrating Islamic financial literacy, digitalization, product innovation, and community collaboration can serve as a relevant empowerment model for local MSMEs. This program implies the need for continuous assistance that measures changes in financial behavior, technology adoption, access to Islamic financing, and the strengthening of business networks.

Abstract

The internship program at the Human Resource Development (HRD) Department of PT CNG Hilir Raya Palembang was designed to enhance students’ knowledge and practical skills in human resource administration through direct workplace experience. The program was conducted over a three-month period using observation, active participation, and hands-on administrative practice across various HR functions. The activities included employee administrative data management, document filing and digitization, participation in recruitment and selection processes, DISC assessment data processing, employee health data management, job description development, and the preparation of an employee handbook for new staff. The results indicate that the internship provided valuable practical experience in applying the principles of human resource management and industrial-organizational psychology while contributing to the effectiveness of the company’s administrative processes through improved accuracy, systematic data management, and the utilization of digital technology. Overall, the internship program served as an effective bridge between academic learning and the practical demands of the professional workplace.

Abstract

Basic Microsoft PowerPoint training was conducted for students of SMA Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo Situbondo with the aim of improving their ability to create presentation media. The background of this activity is the lack of mastery of students' presentation skills. As well as their dependence on platforms that provide presentation templates such as Canva. This training was conducted for one day using lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and direct practice methods. This activity involved students from class 11-A SMA Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo Situbondo. Support from the Student Council and the school for this activity is very important as partners in its implementation. The results of this training show that some students can understand the use of Microsoft PowerPoint for educational presentations, as well as visually appealing. Through this activity, it is hoped that students can use Microsoft PowerPoint to increase effectiveness in the learning process.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology and the implementation of the Deep Learning approach require educators to be capable of designing meaningful, student-centered mathematics learning while integrating digital technology pedagogically. However, many teachers and pre-service teachers still face difficulties in developing learning materials that align with the characteristics of Deep Learning. This community service program aimed to enhance participants' competence through training and mentoring activities. The program employed a participatory training approach consisting of needs assessment, instructional sessions, discussions, hands-on practice in developing learning materials, mentoring, and evaluation using pre-tests, post-tests, observations, product assessment, and participant satisfaction questionnaires. The results showed an improvement in participants' understanding of the Deep Learning concept and their ability to develop mathematics learning materials that incorporate the principles of mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning through the effective use of digital technology. The primary output of this program was mathematics learning materials that are ready to be implemented in classroom practice. This program contributed to improving educators' professional competence and supported the implementation of Deep Learning to promote higher-quality mathematics learning that is relevant to the demands of the digital era.

Abstract

The increasing older adult population requires promotive and preventive strategies that focus not only on physical health but also on mental well-being as an essential component of Healthy Ageing. This community service program aimed to implement a Healthy Ageing initiative through health screening, health education, and elderly exercise to support the mental well-being of older adults at an elderly integrated health post (Posyandu Lansia) in Perhentian Marpoyan Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. A participatory approach was employed, including coordination with community partners, health screening consisting of blood pressure measurement and Body Mass Index (BMI) assessment, education on Healthy Ageing, elderly exercise sessions, and interactive discussions. The program involved 33 participants, predominantly women (87.88%) and young-old adults aged 60–74 years (54.55%). Health screening results indicated that most participants had hypertension (78.79%), while BMI assessment showed that 51.52% had normal nutritional status, followed by overweight (27.27%), obesity (12.12%), and underweight (9.09%). All activities were implemented successfully and received positive responses from participants. The program improved participants' awareness of the importance of regular health screening and physical activity while encouraging social interaction as an effort to promote mental well-being. This Healthy Ageing initiative demonstrates the potential of an integrated community-based promotive and preventive approach to support the physical health, mental well-being, and quality of life of older adults.

Abstract

The use of cosmetics among adolescents continues to increase alongside evolving beauty trends and easier access to information. However, this usage is often not accompanied by adequate understanding of cosmetic safety, particularly regarding microbial contamination that can cause skin health problems. This community service activity aims to improve adolescents' knowledge and awareness of the risks of microbial contamination in cosmetics and preventive measures. The activity was conducted through health education using lectures, presentations, educational videos, and interactive discussions. Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test to measure participants' understanding. The materials covered contaminant microorganisms, their effects on skin health, and the importance of maintaining cleanliness of cosmetic tools and products. Activity results showed an increase in participants' knowledge, marked by a rise in mean scores from 74 on the pre-test to 96 on the post-test. The number of participants achieving perfect scores also increased, accompanied by high participation throughout the activity. Thus, education on microbial contamination in cosmetics is effective in improving adolescents' understanding of safe and hygienic cosmetic use.
