The The selection of current in aluminum welding significantly affects weld joint quality. Excessively high current can lead to increased penetration, distortion, and overmelting. Conversely, low current may result in weak joints, insufficient penetration, and increased porosity risk. This study focuses on understanding the effect of current variations in the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process on the strength of 6 mm thick aluminum 6061 welds using ER4043 filler. Tensile strength and flexibility are critical in construction, ensuring strong, stable, and durable welds to withstand static loads. The study found that a welding current of 160A achieved the highest tensile strength, averaging 207.49 MPa. In contrast, 100A yielded the lowest tensile strength at an average of 132.854 MPa, while 130A produced an intermediate average of 154.128 MPa. Bending test results showed that only the 160A weld met standard criteria, whereas welds with 100A and 130A currents exhibited cracks and fractures beyond acceptable limits. Microstructural analysis revealed that the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) and weld metal at 160A were dominated by the Mg2Si phase, which significantly enhances the mechanical strength of the material. These findings highlight the importance of selecting the appropriate welding current for aluminum 6061. A current of 160A is recommended as the optimal choice to produce strong and reliable weld joints.

Recycling is the process of converting used materials into new materials with the aim of preventing waste that can actually be useful, reducing the use of new raw materials, reducing energy use, reducing pollution, land damage. The purpose of this study was to determine the most optimal pouring temperature to produce the best casting of the physical and mechanical properties of recycled aluminum material added with degasser powder. The urgency of this study is as a research material in the field of materials. This research method is to make 3 variations of melting temperature before pouring into the mold, the temperature variations used are 6750-7000C, 7000-7250C and 7250-7500C. At any temperature variation before pouring into the mold, degasser powder is also added to help clean the molten metal from the gases trapped in the molten metal. After the sample is molded, the results are visually observed, then a specimen is made to test the mechanical properties of the used aluminum casting. The data from the test results show that there is a fairly large porosity value in each variation. The hardness value of the test results shows that it is directly proportional to the temperature variation. At a temperature of 7250-7500C the average hardness value is 98.5 HVN. While the tensile strength at a temperature of 7250-7500C value is 83.58 Mpa, at a temperature of 7000-7250C = 74.39 Mpa and at a temperature of 6750-7000C = 71.5 Mpa. Thus the most optimal temperature in this used aluminum casting is 7250-7500C.

Along with population growth and global industrialization, the level of fossil fuel use continues to increase. If fuel consumption continues to increase without proper maintenance, the fuel oil (BBM) crisis will become an unavoidable problem. Utilizing biomass as a source of energy is profitable because theoretically it does not produce the greenhouse gas CO2 which is detrimental to the environment. However, conventional biomass stoves still face problems related to exhaust emissions and combustion efficiency. This study's objective is to make a biomass stove that can reduce exhaust emissions to increase combustion efficiency, thus supporting the use of environmentally friendly energy. The method usually used is by changing the mass of wood pellets during boiling water into the combustion chamber. The weight ranges between 300 grams, 400 grams, 500 grams, 600 grams and 1400 grams, each according to the capacity of the combustion chamber. The five types of tests aim to determine the extent to which differences in wood pellet mass and biomass stove type have on the combustion process, as well as how long the process takes. The findings of the study show that variations in the mass of wood pellets greatly influence the boiling time of water, with a mass of 300 grams the boiling time has not yet reached the boiling point of the water, with a mass of 400 grams it gets 23 minutes, with a mass of 500 grams it gets 25 minutes, with a mass 600 grams can be obtained in 26 minutes

This research is based on the absence of an e-module that can used by students in the Soil Mechanics course at the Civil Engineering Departement of Padang State University, the students have difficulty learning and understanding Soil Mechanics material independently. To overcome this issue, a learning media product in the form of a Flipbook-based E-Module was developed with the help of Canva and Heyzine Online Flipbook Maker for Soil Mechanics learning. The purpose of this research is to develop a product in the form of Flipbook-based E-Module for valid and practical Soil Mechanics learning. The type of this research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model. The developed product is tested for its validity by expert lecturers in content and media. Then after being declared valid, a practicality test of the product is conducted by 25 students from the Civil Engineering Departement. The final results of the material expert validation obtained a coefficient value of 0,96 with the category “Very Valid” and the final results of the media expert validation obtained a coefficient value of 0,89 with the category “Very Valid”. The final results of the practicality test for the students obtained a value of 91,56% with the category “Very Practical”. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the Flipbook-based E-Module media in Soil Mechanics learning developed is valid and practical for used by students of the Civil Engineering Departement at Padang State University

A stable room temperature is essential for comfort. This study tests the performance of split wall air conditioners with R-22 refrigerant and evaluates how to improve their efficiency through the influence of cooling air temperature. The experiment was carried out by varying the air temperature and cooling load using a heater. Data is taken every 15 minutes for 2 hours using a digital thermometer. The results showed that the maximum coefficient of performance (COP) value reached 8 indoors and 7.2 outdoors. Meanwhile, the maximum energy efficiency ratio (EER) value was recorded at 4.2 indoors and 3.7 outdoors. The stability of COP and EER values indicates that the Split Air Conditioner can operate efficiently despite variations in air temperature and cooling load. Cooler cooling air proved to be crucial in improving system efficiency. Conversely, higher refrigerant loads tend to decrease efficiency. However, this drop can be minimized by keeping the cooling air temperature low. The selection of the appropriate refrigerant, such as R-22, also plays an important role in supporting optimal performance. The combination of cooler cooling air and the right refrigerant allows the split air conditioner to operate with high efficiency. This research provides an important basis for the development of energy-efficient and efficient cooling systems. Optimizing the temperature of the cooling air is one of the main keys in improving the efficiency of the cooling system. With the right approach, split air conditioners can be used more effectively to create thermal comfort while saving energy.

The following study is intended to find if it exists an association among these application about K3 aspects along with student learning outcomes of the welding engineering workshop at SMK Negeri 1 Guguk. During the practice, it was found that there was a lack of understanding and implementation of K3 aspects by the Welding Technology students, as well as insufficient attention to and maintenance of K3 equipment. This research applies correlational methods with quantitative techniques. A total of 55 class XI TLAS students in the SMAW Welding Engineering subject were to be used as subjects. Sampling method adopted in this study is the purposive sampling technique. The data testing results in this study used the product-moment correlation, which showed that the calculated r score was higher than the table r value, indicating a positive relationship between the variables. The significance score was low, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). Thus, the research hypothesis is recognized at a sufficient interpretation level. The data testing results show that the implementation of K3 aspects contributes to student learning outcomes, although the contribution is not dominant. Other aspects that influence student learning outcomes were not studied in this research. Outcome of the data examination lead to theconclusion that application about K3 aspects shows a direct impact on the results of learning of class XI Welding Engineering students in the manual arc welding subject at SMK Negeri 1 Guguk.

This article describes issue of mechanical worshop facilities and infrastructures at Vocational High School 1 Padang, aims to evaluate the availability and feasibility of facilities and infrastructure, in order to encourage learning process of mechanical engineering. This study reviews aspects related to the adequacy of mechanical workshop’s facilities and infrastructures including the existence and condition of machine, workshop space to other supporting infrastructure linked to work productivity and safety such as wall, lighting, ventilation, and floor conditions. Descriptive quantitative method was used with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interview with workshop managers, and documentation. The result revealed 87% of the facilities were classified as operational and available to support practical activities. Total percentage of feasibility for each workshop are: 90% of the lathe workshop, 77% of the miling machine workshop, 90% of the bench workshop, and 92 % of the welding and grinding machine workshop. The maximum percentage of facility feasibilities which is 100% has not been achieved, influenced by several factors related to the damage and unavailability of several items. In infrastructure, the ventilation is of standard size; lighting is appropriate and sufficient; the wall is of limited height and filled with large machines resulting in limited space for movement; the floor of the lathe workshop is inadequate with a number of cement patches on the floor cracks. Indicating the need for repairs and upgrades to increase the percentage of feasibility to maximum.

Thare study discusses then making of wood workshop animation videos and live demonstrations using sketchup in basic woodworking practice courses, then destination of thare study are to decide then degree of legality testing, usefulity and normalized gain nomina. Thare studies approach takes then Studies and Development (R&D) method with then Four-D (4D) development model what consarets of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Development, and Dareseminate. Then product was legalated by 3 matter adept, 2 media adept, and 12 students who studied then Basic Woodworking Practice course in then July-December 2024 semester. Based on then evaluation of animated video media using sketchup that has been carried out, then results of then assessment by matter adept are 0.88 what are counted in then legal category. Media expert assessment obtained a nomina of 0.82 what are counted in then legal category. Usefulity assessment obtained a nomina of 0.8996 what are counted in then very useful category. Based on then results of thare study, it can be deduce that then workshop animation video media using Sketchup are legal and useful for take in knowledge.

The low learning results of students when learning the Frais Technique serve as the impetus for this study. It is believed that this is because students are not actively participating in teacher-centered learning models and their learning is not at its best. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how well the Project Based Learning learning paradigm affects the learning outcomes of SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya students studying framing techniques. This study employs quantitative approaches and quasi-experimental research. 40 students made up the study's sample, and they were divided into two categories: the experimental category and the control category. The research period was carried out during the academic year 2024–2025's odd semester. The findings from the analysis of the data in this research suggest that the learning model centered around projects is significantly more influential than the conventional model to improve learning outcomes, the findings of the analysis illustrate that the average post-test results of the experimental class of 75.25 are greater than the control class with an average of 63.75. Based on the results of research and discussion, quasi-experimental research on the XI grade Frais Engineering Subject at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya can be concluded that there is an effectiveness of using project-based learning models on student learning outcomes where the value of learning outcomes in groups using project-based learning models is higher than conventional models.

This lowed studied outcomes from students element a cost planning and scheduling of building construction element in choosing the PBL learning model. The researched waste make to determiner how effective the PBL studies model is in improve college studies outcoms through the elements of Cost Planning and Scheduling of Building Construction. The type of researched former attempt researched by affected tentative design form. The number of researched samples used was 45 people: 20 XI DPIB 1 students the attempt class, then 25 XI DPIB 2 the control clases. This attempt classes used Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The researched wased carri off by giving test instrumental form of pretests with posttests. For the test of test questions, has been conducted in clases XI DPIB 2college SMKN 1 Padang within 26 respondents. This studies show that PBL can improve college studies outcomes in the matter of calculating foundation work. This averrage value student sudeis outcom attempt class was 77.95 with control classes waste 61.76. In addition, this effect hypothes testing carried out usee this Indepedent Sample t-Test tes obtain t_count> t_table or 6.038> 2.01669 then Ha is accepted. Therefore, this studied proves that PjBL model could fix the studies achievement of DPIB XI class college on the elements of the Cost Plan and Building Construction Scheduling.
