Abstract

The spread of the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) virus since 2019 has caused a pandemic in this world. Generally, the existing body temperature checkers only function to check the temperature, and allow someone to escape from the process. By utilizing the Internet of Things, it is possible to make a body temperature checking device that can measure measurement data into a database, and display it on a smartphone through an application and this tool is named the Design and Build of a Prototype of Internet of Things-Based Body Temperature Monitoring. The tool uses an infrared temperature sensor which functions to measure contactless body temperature and before using the sensor must be accessed using a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) card so that data that has checked body temperature can be stored. The data is stored in a database and can also be accessed in the form of a website using the black box testing method. This method is used to find out if the software is working properly. With this tool the screening process becomes more leverage, because the tool can record the temperature of the user of the tool and can store it in the database.

Abstract

Additional materials in the manufacture of paving blocks are needed as additional materials to produce paving that meets the required criteria. There are several criteria that can be considered in selecting the criteria for these additives, including compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and permeability. The existence of multi-criteria requires a multi-criteria selection method so that those selected are in accordance with the criteria, therefore the TOPSIS method is used. In this case the decision maker prioritizes permeability as the first criterion, followed by compressive strength and splitting tensile strength with the same interests. The results in this study that the highest weight value was rice husk ash with a value of 0.657 compared to the other two additional ingredients, namely fly ash and palm shell ash. Therefore, rice husk ash is the best choice based on decision making criteria.

Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of Students' Interest in Using Video Media in Learning at SMAN 1 Toho, with the aim of assessing the extent of students' interest in using video media in learning. Specifically, this research aims to evaluate significant differences in the use of learning video media between male and female students, as well as assess significant differences between class X in the use of learning video media. This type of research is quantitative with quantitative descriptive methods, carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Toho in September 2023 involving 106 class X students, consisting of Class Xa (28 people), Class Xb (25 people), Class Xc (27 people), and Class Xd (26 people), with the entire population used as the research sample. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire with 18 positive statements using a Likert scale and filled in via Google Form. The results of the analysis show that the learning interest of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Toho is moderate in using video media in the learning process. Factors that influence interest involve external and internal attractiveness, while the use of learning media that is less attractive also has a negative impact on student interest. Teachers' lack of understanding and skills in utilizing learning media also plays a role in reducing student interest. Even though there is no significant difference between the interests of male and female students, there are striking differences between classes in using video learning media. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers increase creativity in designing learning by utilizing videos to increase students' interest and enthusiasm in the learning process.
