Abstract

South Kalimantan is an area with a majority Islamic population, but in the majority religious tolerance has proven strong, the evidence is in the form of places of worship for non-Muslim residents. One proof is the Catholic Church in Kelayan which has been established since 1939, so the development of this church is interesting to study more deeply and more broadly. This study aims to describe the history of the establishment, development of activities, and services of the Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary from 1939-2020. The method used in this study uses historical methods consisting of Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. Heuristics, the data collection stage, both primary and secondary data, data sources are obtained through 3 things, namely oral sources obtained from interviews, written sources obtained from books, journals, articles, and object sources obtained by researchers when viewing the building or the state of the church. After the data is collected, the next stage is source criticism, the next is interpretation and the last is the historiography or writing stage. The results of this research that the Catholic Church has been established for 81 years, so it has a lot of history that is engraved, starting from a priest named Mgr, Kusters MSF who wants to expand the teachings of Catholicism in South Kalimantan and has a mission to establish a Catholic Church in Kelayan which is still still stands firmly in the West Kelayan Village

Abstract

History is the part of human life that tells what happened, who did it, where the incident took place, and how the impact of the incident to date. The current era of globalization is very important regarding the history of education which is very fundamental with the aim to shape the character of the community will have a sense of historical awareness. Literature study in writing this article is the subject of his study. History as a learning medium in which we invite students to think historically like a historian in seeing a historical event to be made a life learning by students in schools, the inculcation of the value of nationalism in history learning can be done by understanding the psychological condition of students in each development that is different from each level. So the teachers need to also implement various forms of strategies and effective learning models also precise at the time of their implementation.

Abstract

Nurul Amin Alabio Islamic Boarding School is a charity owned by Muhammadiyah which is located in Hulu Sungai Utara. The social life of students in Islamic boarding schools can be seen from how students can regulate their social relationships according to the teachings of their religion. This study aims to explain the social interactions of students that occur at the Nurul Amin Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a historical method that begins with heuristics, the author collects data, both primary and secondary data. The next step, author conducts criticism by testing the truth of the source through source triangulation. The third step is author interprets the sources obtained. The last step is historiography which is poured in the form of historical writings. The results showed that guidance in the social interaction of students in boarding school environment is carried out by the caretaker of the boarding school who is included in the organizational structure of the boarding school with the kyai as the leader. Social interaction is well established between fellow students, students with kyai, asatidz and the community. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the social life of the students at Nurul Amin Islamic Boarding School is well developed, there is an integration between religious education and general science that is in accordance with the current era so that a strong student character is formed and can adapt to the times.

Abstract

The background of this research describes the process of arrival of Balinese transmigrants in Sumber Makmur Village, Satui District, Tanah Bumbu Regency along with their social and religious life. The research was made with the aim of knowing how the life of the Balinese transmigrant community in Sumber Makmur Village. The method used in this research is the historical method, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Primary sources are obtained directly from sources about the object under study. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Secondary sources are obtained from literature studies, in the form of useful notes with the object of research. The results of field research, it shows that since the Balinese came to Sumber Makmur Village in 1983, the development of Balinese society at that time was still in the construction stage starting from establishing settlements, to buildings of worship (temples). In 2000, the buildings owned by residents were better. Their life is relatively harmonious, although there are slight adjustments because it is not completely the same as on the island of Bali which is thick with Hindu culture. However, this did not change their previous culture and beliefs. The results of this study indicate that the life of the Balinese transmigrants in Sumber Makmur Village is running well and there is no conflict, so that their lives as migrants remain harmonious.

Abstract

The Baarak Naga tradition which is held in Ulu Benteng Village, Marabahan District, Barito Kuala Regency is a hereditary tradition for residents who have a dragon lineage when they are about to get married. This tradition only exists in Ulu Benteng Village, where the majority of the population is the Bakumpai Dayak Tribe. However, as the times progressed, this tradition began to be rarely carried out only a few times a year. This study intends to determine the origin and process of implementing the dragon Baarak tradition in Ulu Benteng Village, Marabahan District. The method used in this study uses the historical method which has several stages, namely Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation and Historiography. The first stage is Heuristics or data collection. The data was obtained through primary sources, namely direct interviews with the descendants of the owners and custodians of the dragon's head as well as residents who have carried out this tradition. While secondary data can be obtained through books, scientific journals, articles on the internet and direct observations of research. After receiving the data, the next stage is criticism, both external criticism and internal criticism. The data that is criticized goes back to the Interpretation stage and ends with the historiography or writing stage. The results showed that the Baarak Naga tradition existed more than 100 years ago as a form of respect for their ancestors and asking for blessings so that the marriage process runs smoothly and safely

Abstract

A Rubber is the most potential plantation crop in Tabalong Regency. Tabalong Regency especially in Lumbang Village. Many villagers work as rubber farmers. The farmers sell their tapped products to the rubber boss. This rubber boss plays an important role in the economy of rubber farmers. The number of rubber bosses in Lumbang Village from 2000-2015 were 16 people. The number of rubber bosses indirectly creates competition between rubber bosses. The purpose of this study was to determine the background of being a rubber boss, competition among rubber bosses, and the impact of the competition between rubber bosses in Lumbang Village. This research uses historical method with heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography stages. The results of this study indicate that the background of the Lumbang residents to choose to work as rubber bosses due to economic factors, the busy trading business of rubber, and hereditary employment. Competition between rubber bosses is divided into 3 forms, namely: the courage to determine the price of rubber higher than other rubber bosses, rubber bosses buy good quality rubber first than other rubber bosses, and compete to win over rubber farmers. The competition between rubber bosses in Lumbang Village has positive and negative impacts on both the farmers and rubber bosses.

Abstract

The Gray Friday incident, May 23, 1997, which occurred in the city of Banjarmasin, was a conflict event of the election campaign riots that occurred during the New Order era. This incident caused great losses, both material and non-material. Looting, arson, vandalism was carried out by the masses, causing many casualties. This riot had many impacts in various aspects, one of which was the impact on the psychological aspect in the form of emotional trauma. This study aims to determine the chronology of the events of Friday Gray and the psychological impact on the Banjar community. The method used in this study uses the historical method which has four stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The first stage is heuristics or primary and secondary data collection. Primary data was obtained through interviews with the Banjar people who experienced the Gray Friday incident. Secondary data were obtained through books, newspapers, scientific journals, articles on the internet and direct observation of the research. After getting the data, the next stage is criticism, both internal criticism and external criticism. The data that has been criticized then goes to the Interpretation stage and ends with the historiography or writing stage. The results showed that the emotional trauma experienced by the people of Banjar included three emotions, namely fear, sadness, and hatred. The emotional trauma after the Gray Friday shook the psyche of the Banjar community so that it interfered with the daily activities of the Banjar community, but they have tried to recover from the trauma.

Abstract

South Kalimantan is a province where the majority of the population holds strong Islamic teachings. This is evidenced by the large number of ulama who are scattered in almost all areas in South Kalimantan, therefore the Banjar community is known as a strong community holding the religion of Islam because of the existence of ulama who have influence and a large role in society. The research objective was to describe the biography of a ulama from Martapura named KH Muhammad Rosyad and to explain his role as a ulama in Martapura Subdistrict Kota Banjar Regency in 1939-2000. The research method used is the historical method. The steps taken in this research are heuristics or data collection through the interview method. The second stage is data criticism. The third stage is interpretation, and the last stage is historiography, namely writing the research results. The results showed that KH Muhammad Rosyad was born from the marriage of KH. Ahmad Zaini and Hj. Noorjanah on April 15, 1939, and died on Thursday, June 8, 2000 at the age of 63. The role of KH Muhammad Rosyad in preaching is that he opens a routine recitation every Wednesday night. He is also a lecturer at the Darussalam Martapura Islamic Boarding School, Datu Kalampayan Bangil and the College of Sharia Sciences. He is one of the scholars whose words and actions are in harmony in fostering the ummah, this is evidenced by him establishing a financial institution called BMT Al-Karomah Martapura Sharia Cooperative which still exists today with the aim of helping the economy of the people, especially the people of Martapura.

Abstract

The issuance of the Canggu inscription illustrates that Bojonegoro was one of the areas through which the Bengawan Solo flow passed, which played an important role in trading activities. So don't be surprised if you find many relics such as coins, pottery, boats and others. The boats that have been found at the bottom of the Bengawan Solo river in Bojonegoro are an ancient boat in Padang Village, Trucuk District which was found in 2005 and an iron boat in Ngraho Village, Gayam District which was lifted to the mainland in 2013. briefly about the existence of Bengawan Solo and the crossing villages as well as explaining the ancient Trucuk boat and the Ngraho iron boat from the initial discovery conditions to the present day. It is hoped that readers will be able to know the historical evidence of the glory of Bengawan Solo, namely by knowing and understanding the findings of ancient boats in Bojonegoro which have historical value. The method used in this study is a historical research method which is divided into heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum as a complement to the previous curriculum has been running for almost seven years in education in Indonesia. The view of most teacher still does not heed the system according to the assessment in the 2013 Curriculum (K-13) guidebook. Teachers still think that the assessment is only on cognitive assessment, especially in history subjects. This study aims to describe the Implementation of learning Assessment in the 2013 Curriculum for History Subjects in Class XI IPS at SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. This study also use qualitative methods in obtaining information starting from interviews, documentation, and observations collected as a source of research. There are two sources of research used in research, namely primary sources and secondary sources. The result pf this study before conducting classroom assessment, the teacher made a lesson plan (RPP). The implementation of the assessment carried out by the teacher is different from that in the lesson plans and in the implementation in the classroom. When implementing it in the classroom the teacher only uses two attitude assessment and skills assessment. The teacher’s obstacle in implementing this assessment it the number of students who are assessed in one class, as well as the view of teacher who still thinks that the assessment is only on results of students, not on the process of how students achieve it.
