Abstract

This research describes the Genially learning media for learning Indonesian for 5th semester students at PBSI UIN Jakarta. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The objects in this research were PBSI semester 5 students with a total of 32 students as respondents. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, documentation and questionnaires. These three techniques can include direct observation, document analysis and direct responses from respondents. Based on the research results and responses from PBSI 5th semester students regarding the use of Genially learning media, it can be concluded that the majority of respondents consider technology-based learning media such as Genially to be effective in increasing students' enthusiasm for learning. The success of learning media is assessed by its attractiveness, usefulness, and ease of access and use. Thus, it can be concluded that Genially is considered an effective and interesting learning media for PBSI 5th semester students. This positive reception can become the basis for further development in improving the quality of technology-based learning in the future.

Abstract

The importance of maintaining the relevance of education to the dynamics of current developments requires real efforts in curriculum development. Apart from that, the application of curriculum development models is key in the process of developing the curriculum. The use of a curriculum development model is necessary to systematically and purposefully design an educational plan. This research aims to determine the curriculum development model implemented at MI Masalikil Huda 01 Annually Jepara. The research method used is descriptive qualitative-case study. The subject of this research is MI Masalikil Huda 01 Tahunan Jepara with the source informant being Mrs. Rujiah, SE as the principal of MI Masalikil Huda 01 Tahunan Jepara. The selection of research subjects was carried out through purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The data analysis technique in this research involves several steps, namely data collection accompanied by analysis during the collection process, data reduction, data segmentation to group the reduction results into smaller units, forming categorization, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that MI Masalikil Huda 01 Tahunan Jepara uses a combination curriculum development model between the administrative curriculum development model and the Grass Roots curriculum development model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning difficulties of students in terms of solving story problems in the mathematics subject of Addition material. This research was conducted at SD N Pati Wetan 01 with a total of 5 students. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. While the source of data obtained using interviews, observations, documentation in the form of student answers. Newman's theory is used as a reference in the analysis of learners' learning difficulties. The result of the study was that all five subjects experienced some difficulties. like; 1) AZ has learning difficulties in the form of a lack of understanding of the content of the reading in the form of stories; 2) MF has a dislike of mathematics learning; 3) AR has difficulty solving story problems in terms of finding formulas and studying story problems; 4) NB has a lack of understanding in the content of the story problem and is able to solve the problem but the answer is not right; and AH has difficulty yet understanding the addition operation. Some difficulties are concluded to be a lack of understanding of the construction of mathematical models, a lack of understanding of addition operations, and a lack of precise answers from learners.

Abstract

A Comparative Study of Syed Naquib Al-Attas and H.M. Rasjidi's Thoughts on the Concept of Islamic Worldview which examines the problem: differences and similarities of Worldview with the contextual thoughts of HM. Rasjidi's Islamic worldview. Library research method "Library Research". This research was conducted only based on the written work of Syed Naquib al-Attas and HM Rasjidi or books, journals, other literature relevant to the discussion to be processed philosophically and theoretically.The results of this study indicate that; The similarity of the concept of Islamic Worldview Syed Naquib al-Attas with the thought of HM. Rasjidi both aims to create a just and harmonious human being between the science of faith and his deeds (mind, heart and physical), both of which are relevant worldview to contemporary issues of kalam/theology originating from the history of Christianity in the West, thus giving birth to isms that are contrary to the worldview Islamicboth also see the problem of kalam/theology that arises because of the semantic confusion. The difference is, HM. Rasjidi views Islam as a rational doctrine that comes from revelation and has implications for a worldview, while Syed Naquib al-Attas is more philosophical, according to him, WorldviewIslam is built on Islamic metaphysics and is in the realm of epistemology.

Abstract

The choice of student learning models significantly influences student learning results, underscoring the importance for educators to employ models that align with the content being taught. One such model is Discovery Learning, particularly applicable in the field of biology. This approach guides students toward conclusions by fostering an understanding of concepts, meanings, and relationships through intuitive processes. The aim of this research is to evaluate the efficiency of applying the Discovery Learning model in the field of biology education by analyzing the educational results following its implementation. The research methodology involves a literature review as part of the descriptive analysis approach. The findings from the literature review indicate that employing the model of Discovery Learning with or without additional media and learning strategies, positively affects the biology learning objectives of students. The discernible enhancement in student performance in Biology following the implementation of the Discovery Learning model substantiates its effectiveness. In summary, based on the insights derived from the literature review, the use of the Discovery Learning approach to biology instruction has been found to be helpful in improving student learning results.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the decline in student learning outcomes in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 school year which was caused by students paying less attention to the explanation and material from the teacher during the learning process. Such as not doing assignments on time, often chatting alone when the teacher explains, lack of interest in learning, and there are some children who have low learning outcomes. Therefore, it is necessary to instill discipline in learning since childhood, because it will help children control themselves in the formation of self-awareness in learning without an element of compulsion. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning discipline and students' interest in learning. The research method used is a quantitative method with a correlational approach that uses ex post facto research. The sample in the study was class III students with a total of 14 people, whose sampling used the saturated sample method because all students in class III were sampled in the study. Data collection was carried out using questionnaire and documentation techniques. The results showed that: 1) There is a significant relationship between learning discipline and student learning outcomes with a Thitung value of 8.131. 2) There is a significant relationship between learning discipline and student learning outcomes with a Thitung of 3.459. 3). There is a significant relationship simultaneously between learning discipline and learning interest on student learning outcomes with a T-count of 6.698.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the problematic and crisis of Islamic education, encompassing the issues faced by contemporary and future Islamic education, the challenges posed to Islamic education in the present and future, and alternative solutions to the issues of current and future Islamic education. The study adopts a qualitative research approach utilizing literature review (library research), with books and other literature as the main focus of the research. The literature obtained from various references is critically and comprehensively analyzed to support the propositions and ideas presented in the research.The challenges faced by contemporary Islamic education include the deterioration of the pillars of character education, the existence of Islamic educational institutions such as pesantren and madrasah that need to develop their curriculum to meet the demands of the times, among other issues. Specific challenges involve educational management aspects, where future education planning needs to encompass three fundamental aspects of society: socio, techno, and bio futures, with all implications and impacts on human life.Particularly for pesantren, there is a challenge in addressing the progress of Science and Technology (Iptek), Western culture, and unfounded accusations directed towards Islamic boarding schools. Alternative solutions proposed include a new paradigm for Islamic education based on both the theocentric and anthropocentric philosophies. Islamic education should be capable of building scholarly and progressive educational integration of spiritual, moral, and material values for human life. Additionally, Islamic education should emphasize a more flexible structure, treating students as individuals in constant development, and consistently interacting with the environment.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum has begun to be implemented in a two-year trial period since 2022/2023 academic year and required teacher readiness in running it. This research aims to analyze the English teacher readiness in implementing Merdeka Curriculum at MTs Negeri 3 Banyumas. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The object of this research was the readiness of English teacher and the subjects were 7th and 8th grade English teachers who teach using the Merdeka Curriculum Implementation. The data were collected through interview, documentation, and observation. Data analysis was carried out with Miles and Huberman’s theory, which consists of three steps, namely data condensation, data display, and data conclusion. The result of this research showed that English teachers fulfilled 6 out of 9 indicators used to determine the teacher readiness. All three teachers already understand the characteristic and structure of the curriculum, plan the diagnostic assessment, adjust the learning with the stage of achievements and characteristic of students, plan, implement and process formative and summative assessment, focus on essential material, and conduct the flexible learning. Two indicators were not fulfilled by the three teachers, those were compiling the teaching module and implementing the project-based learning. While, only one teacher developed the teaching module.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the correlation between skills in using measuring instruments and understanding the concept of quantities and units in semester 1 students of the Physics Education study program at Madura Islamic University. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental approach. The sample in this research involved semester 1 students of the Madura Islamic University physics education study program who were taking basic physics 1 courses. Data collected in this research was through the distribution of essays regarding understanding the concept of quantities and units (Y) as well as skills in using measuring instruments (X ) with certain indicators. The values obtained from this research were analyzed using the SPSS statistical application with linear regression tests and correlation tests. The results of data analysis show that the correlation value = -0.384 with a significant value = 0.244 and Rsquare = 0.147. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a negative correlation and does not have a significant impact on skills in using measuring instruments on understanding the concept of quantities and units. Skills in using measuring instruments contribute 14.7% to understanding the concept of quantities and units, while 85.3% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Crucial foundation in shaping students' character, competence, and integrity , particularly within the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang. As a higher education institution based on Islamic values, the development of an academic culture not only aims to enhance academic achievement but also to cultivate intellectuals who are religious, critical, creative, and competitive. This article examines comprehensive strategies for building an academic culture among PGSD students at Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang. Academic culture is a fundamental element in producing superior graduates who are intellectual, religious, and possess noble character. The strategies discussed include strengthening character education, building learning communities, optimizing academic facilities, intensive mentoring by lecturers, and fostering a research culture from an early age. Through the integration of these strategies, students are expected to develop critical thinking skills, academic integrity, and high learning motivation. Implementation is carried out through structured programs such as book reviews, national seminars, scientific writing workshops, student writing competitions, and active student involvement in lecturer research. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review and empirical observation. The results indicate that collaborative and sustained efforts among lecturers, students, and the institution are key to establishing a resilient academic culture. The success of developing an academic culture relies on harmonious collaboration among all parties, consistent habituation, intensive mentoring, and regular evaluation. It is hoped that this strategy will enable PGSD students to develop into professional teacher candidates who are competent, possess noble character, and have a lifelong learning spirit
