Abstract

One of the problems faced by Indonesian language teachers is the lack of student interest and motivation to learn Indonesian. Mind mapping is a visual technique that uses diagrams to represent ideas and relationships between concepts. This research aims to find out how the application of mind mapping learning strategies in Indonesian language learning and also its content on the Pancasila Student Profile. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted in class XI F4 SMAN 5 Surakarta with the object of research on the Indonesian language learning process of explanatory text material using mind mapping strategy. Data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation. The data were analyzed inductively to produce grounded theory. The results of this study indicate that mind mapping can improve student understanding because students are looking for their own problems and materials on the material provided. There were also some difficulties in the learning process such as the teacher's difficulty in coordinating the class, time constraints and student involvement. The content of the Pancasila Student Profile in this learning process is critical, responsible, mutual cooperation and critical thinking.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' reading material about photosynthesis and utilise technology by developing digital comic-based learning media entitled "What is Photosynthesis". This comic is designed in digital form to be easily accessible without cost. Media development uses the R&D (Research & Development) method and the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research was conducted at SD Negeri 188 Pekanbaru in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year involving students in grades IV A and IV B. The data was collected through a questionnaire with two questionnaires. Data were collected through questionnaires with two trials, namely small group trials and 1:1 trials. Validation by media experts involved six aspects: cover, opening page, word balloons, background, language use, and material, with all aspects getting a very valid category (87.5%-100%). Implementation involved 10 students in a small group trial (average result 98%) and 4 students in a 1:1 trial (average result 99%). Two grade IV teachers were also involved with an average result of 99%. These results show that the digital comic "What is Photosynthesis" is very feasible to use as a learning media in schools.

Abstract

Science and education are an integration that cannot be separated, because knowledge has an impact on the world of education. The concept of education in Islam must continue to involve God in order to provide alternative answers to various problems in Islamic education. In theological studies, the main focus in education is based on the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. The purpose of this writing is to understand the theology of Islamic education and understanding the theology of the figure Ismail Raj'i al-Faruqi. Al-Faruqi himself, in his understanding, describes the global threat and Western imperialization culturally and then recommends to the Muslim generation to re-strengthen the basis of monotheism or theology. This research uses a qualitative method based on library research. Data collection uses literature in relevant books, journals and articles. The results of this research explain that al-Faruqi is determined to build a new, more Islamic scientific paradigm by utilizing modern scientific disciplines. From Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi's own thoughts, in explaining monotheism as the core of Islamic teachings, he tries to incorporate monotheism into all aspects of life so that life can proceed as a servant to Allah alone. Analysis of al-Faruqi with an Islamic approach through empirical modern thought with interpretive content. The knowledge system that will be built is a creative synthesis of two poles of knowledge, Western and Islamic.

Abstract

This article discusses about Arabic language learning for Islamic elementary school students as beginner learners. In preparing this article, researchers used qualitative research methods with literature study as a data collection technique. Literature study is a data collection technique by studying and understanding literature sources related to the researcher's topic. The literature referred to is in the form of books, journals, articles, theses, previous research or other sources that are still relevant to the topic of Arabic language learning for MI students as beginner learners. This research is motivated by the implementation of Arabic language learning that is not suitable for beginner learners, both in terms of methods, models, stages, or delivery techniques used, as well as the difficulties and challenges experienced by beginner learners in the Arabic language learning process. This study aims to provide views for educators, researchers, or educational practitioners, especially in Arabic language learning about techniques and stages that can be applied to beginner learners. So the conclusion obtained is that learning Arabic for beginner learners requires more optimal efforts compared to advanced learners or even advanced learners, both in terms of preparation and implementation. This is because the structure of Arabic is more complex and very different from other languages, especially writing.

Abstract

In a broad sense teacher is a professional whose job is to impart knowledge, which can include various titles such as Qur’an teacher, dance teacher, sports teacher, and etc. A teacher is someone who provides the spiritual soul or knowledge, moral education and etc.  The teacher has a higher position because he is a spiritual father who provides knowledge, guides morals, and rectify behavior’s students. Teachers must have duties that are carried out according to the Islamic perspective as well as the Quran. A teacher must have an important role that makes them more grown-up. There are three vital roles of teachers: personal, professional, and social.   Inside PMDG, the role of teachers is one of the important elements when it comes to teaching and learning activities. Because a teacher at PMDG in addition to being a teacher, they also become an educator.  It can be seen from the personality of a teacher, the professionalism of a teacher in teaching, and also the social action perceived by the teachers while teaching there. Actually, the teacher who teaches his students is teaching themselves, and the teacher who educates his students is educating himself. For that matter, the importance of educating and teaching has a highest position in Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the Arabic writing skills (maharah kitabah) of young children in Class B at TK Plus Annaba Pasawahan Purwakarta for the 2023/2024 academic year using the imla method. The imla method, which involves dictation techniques, is considered effective in helping children develop listening skills, concentration, fine motor skills, and memory abilities. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), where the teacher also acts as the researcher and implements the teaching. The research design follows the Kemmis and McTaggart model. This study was conducted in the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, specifically in April. The subjects of this study were 28 students in Class B at TK Plus Annaba Pasawahan. The object of this study is the Arabic writing skills of young children. Data collection was carried out through tests, observations, and research. The results showed that the imla method significantly improved the students' ability to write Arabic letters correctly. The students experienced an increase in Arabic writing skills with the imla method, from 62,14% in Cycle I to 75,00 % in Cycle II.

Abstract

Strategy is an effort to achieve success and success in achieving goals. In the world of education, strategy can be interpreted as a plan that contains a series of activities designed to achieve certain learning goals. The selection of learning strategies is carried out by considering the situation and conditions, learning resources, needs and characteristics of the students faced. The strategies used by teachers greatly influence student learning outcomes. This research was conducted on 19 students, the type of research used was experimental research with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design by giving pre-tests and post-tests to students. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the expository learning model using the N-Gain improvement test. The results of research using data calculations using Microsoft Excel show that the pre-test learning outcome is 3.3 and the post-test is 5 and the N-Gain is 1 and the N-Gain percentage value is 100%, which means that the expository learning model is effective in achieving objectives as proven by the results. the percentage of N-Gain that is included in the effective category.

Abstract

The Merdeka Student Exchange Program (PMM) 4 Inbound at Universitas Prima Indonesia aims to enrich the academic and personal experiences of students by providing them with the opportunity to study in a different environment. This research analyzes the impact of the Merdeka Student Exchange Program (PMM) on the creativity and independence of PMM 4 Inbound students at Universitas Prima Indonesia during the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used is quantitative, employing a questionnaire as the instrument. The sample consists of 50 students selected through simple random sampling. The results indicate that PMM significantly enhances the creativity and independence of students. The implications of this research provide important insights for the development of similar programs at other higher education institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the formation of moral behavior and the obstacles faced in the formation of moral behavior at SDN Gayungan II/423 Surabaya. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach, with a descriptive qualitative research type. Data collection techniques used include interviews with school principals, teachers and students as well as observation and document analysis. The results of the research show that the formation of moral behavior at SDN Gayungan II/423 Surabaya is carried out through school programs (Program Sekolahe Arek Suroboyo), learning in the classroom, and routine activities (5S activities, reading Asmaul Husna, singing Indonesia Raya songs, praying together, activities I can, Friday clean the environment, ant movement, memorize short letters of the Qur'an, congregational prayers, and remo dance). Obstacles or obstacles in the formation of moral behavior at SDN Gayungan II/423 Surabaya are the lack of reinforcement from parents, the commitment of teachers, the existence of inclusive students, understanding of student character, the mismatch between the wishes of parents and the school, as well as limited school facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research aimed at determining whether the use of the As-Sam'iyah Asy-Syafawiyyah method is effective in improving learning at MIS Islamiyyah Taringgul Tonggoh. The As-Sam'iyah Asy-Syafawiyyah method emphasizes an active listening and speaking approach, enabling students to more easily understand and use Arabic in communication. It can also enhance Arabic language learning for sixth-grade students at MIS Islamiyyah Taringgul Tonggoh. To obtain the research results, the researcher conducted a qualitative approach. The population used in this study consisted of 20 sixth-grade students at MIS Islamiyyah. To improve Arabic learning, the researcher conducted the study in two cycles using the Kurt Lewin model. Each cycle consists of four components: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observations, and tests. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and using the percentage of learning completeness. The conclusion is that the As-Sam'iyah Asy-Syafawiyyah method is proven to be effective in improving Arabic language learning for sixth-grade students at MIS Islamiyyah Taringgul Tonggoh.
