Abstract

The purposes of this research are to know the validity and the effectivity of physics-based contextual modules on optical tools material. This type of research is the development, use research design Borg and Gall. The initial product design phase, a module will go through two stages of validation. The first validation phase is experts’ validation and is obtained the validity of 80,66% with valid enough degree of validity. The second validation phase is users’ validation and is obtained the validity of 88% with very valid degree of validity. The next research phase is the initial testing phase, at this stage will be known the audience ratings of the module. Audience validation involved 6 student and got the validity of 84,44% with very valid degree of validity. The last research phase is the research field to determine the effectiveness of the module. The result of the research field show that the module has been declared as effective modules for students, because they have got a score of 70 as much as 94,44%. Based on the result of this study, it can be concluded that the physics-based contextual learning modules developed valid and effective to be used in teaching in schools. Abstract

This research aimed to assess the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with concept mapping on cognitive learning outcomes of student and learning activities of student in physic learning at MAN 2 Jember. This type of research is experimental research by post-test only control design. Population in this study were students of class X at MAN 2 Jember. The research conducted on odd semester of academic year 2016/2017. Samples were taken with cluster random sampling. The methods to collect data in this research are test, observation, interviews and documentation. The cognitive learning outcomes were obtained from control and experimental classesby the post-test. The technique of data analysis cognitive learning outcomes with independent samples t-test. The significance value (1-tailed) <0.05 is 0.0115 <0.05, it can be concluded model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with concept mapping effect on cognitive learning outcomes of student in physic learning at MAN 2 Jember. Learning activities of student were obtained from observed. The technique of data analysis learning activities of student with independent samples t-test. The significance value (1-tailed) <0.05 is 0.004 <0.05, it can be concluded model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with concept mapping effect on learning activities of student in physic learning at MAN 2 Jember. Abstract

Abstract The research aimed to improved the learning activity and learning outcomes ofcognitive students about the concept of physics with cooperative learning model typethink pair share in students grade XI IPA 3 SMAN 3 Jember in the lesson of 2017/2018,with 34 students. The type of research was classroom action research. The research consisted two cycles, began with the initial activity cycle. The result of the research wasanalyzed descriptively consisted of two indicators such as learning activity and learningoutcomes research. The learning activity of student got average value on cycle I equal to52% which enter in category enough active and at second cycle equal to 77% included inactive category. While for the study results obtained from the average score for the firstcycle of 67 in the category enough and the second cycle of 77 included in either categorywith 80% completeness. It can be concluded that the application of type of cooperativelearning model type Think pair share (TPS) can increase student activity and learningoutcomes about physics class XI IPA 3 SMAN 3 Jember.Keywords: Activity of Learrning, Cooperative Think Pair Share (TPS), Results of learning

Abstract

The aim of this research was to exmine the validity of LKS, examined the great improvement of critical thinking skills and examined the students’ responses to LKS. The development model of this research used Borg and Gall's which summarized into four stages: (1) preliminary study, (2) initial product development, (3) revision and validation, and (4) empirical and final product testing. The respondents of this study were the tenth grade students of SMAN Balung, and the total number was 34 students. Data collection techniques were obtained from observations, tests and questionnaires. The results exhibit that the LKS assisted by PhET simulation included in the validity category that is valid, with a large value of expert validation is 78,6% and user validation is 83,3%. Data analysis techniques of critical thingking skill by using N-gain obtained big increase to 0,51 which is included in moderte criterion. Futhermore, the last data collection technique was by questionnaires to obtain the students’ learning responses data using LKS assisted by PhET simulation. Data collection using percentage, the result obtained form thr average of all indicators obtained to 94% which come into very positive category. This means that the LKS assisted PhET simulation can be used in the classroom learning processKey word: critical thinking , LKS, PhET simulation,and student responses.

Abstract

Numbered Heads Together model with PhET simulation as media is one kind of learning model that has the same principle like inquiry which is emphasized at integrating knowledge actively between experience or prior knowledge and new knowledge by students's active role through learning process which is helped by PheT simulation as media at focusing step so students can find knowledge by them self. This research aims to review the difference of study results between students who were taught using Numbered Heads Together model with PheT simulation as media and the students who were taught using direct learning model that has usually been taught by a teacher in senior high school. The students's achievement contains cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. This design of research is an experimental research that has been done at the senior high school 1 Pakusari. Source of data was derived from the assessment by the observer and post-test. The conclusions of the research have got that Numbered Heads Together model with PheT simulation as media influenced the students's achievement in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to develop and described the validity ofPhysics Module Based on Local Potential “Batik Lumbung and Tahu Tamanan” forHigh School Students Tamanan Bondowoso Subdistrict (Material of Temperature andHeat) and described students response toward the module. The design of this researchwas 4D development. The descriptive percentage was used to analyze the modulevalidity. The average of the module from the expert based on didactic, constructionand technical aspect was 94.34%. It was categorized as Very Valid or usable withoutRevision. The average of the module from the user based on format and languageaspect was 93.75%. It was categorized as Very Valid or usable without Revision. Thevalidity of the audience for cognitive aspect was 74.5% and 73.61% for psychomotoraspect. The module was Quite Valid or Usable but Needs to be Revised Small. Basedon the affective aspect, it was categorized as Very Valid or usable without Revisionwith the average score 89.65%. The utilization of the Physics module in learning gotthe positive response from the students with 91.05% in percentage. Physics modulebased on local potential was good and appropriate as the alternative for learningmaterial.Keyword: local potential, module, response, validity

Abstract

In this 21st century, through the study of science is expected to guide the students meet 21st century skills. One of the skills that must be mastered is the ability to think critically. It is necessary for effective learning in order to deliver the students to achieve the critical thinking skills. Inquiry model train students to solve problems, make decisions, gain critical thinking skills in analyzing information. In the guided inquiry learning model student plays an active role in doing practical work to solve problems, while teachers could help students if students have problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model on critical thinking skills. Analysis of the data used ins this study is statistic test using test independent sample t-test. Results from this study is the average value of critical thinking skills through post-test 67 in the experimental class and 62.5 in the control class. 1-tailed significance value of statistical test by independent sample T-test of 0.0025, meaning that guided inquiry learning model significantly influence students' critical thinking skills.Key word: Education, Critical Thinking, Guided Inquiry

Abstract

Development of real events image-based module is a develop of material on physics learning that presents real events images or physics phenomenon that are used to clear up a physics concepts to make it easier to be learnt by students independently.The purposes of this research are to describe the validity of real events image-based module, students’ learning achievement, and students’ learning activities. This type of research is the development, use research design Borg and Gall. Data collection techniques used are sheets of validation, observation, interview and test. Real events image-based module is said good and decent to be used for teaching physics in senior high school if the product’s validity has been tested through logic validity and user validity. Real events image-based module is valid if the logic validity and user validity are > 60,00%. Conclution of this research are : (1) logic validity and user validity real events image-based module are 85,15% and 90,23% with a very valid category. (2) Student’ learning achievement after using real events image-based module is 84,8 with a very good, and (3) students’ learning activities using real events image-based module is 88,5% with a very active. Abstract

Technology development effect included in education field especially physics. In learning process, technology presented as teaching materials based on computer assisted instruction. This learning materials included many media as picture, graphic, animation, text, video, and physics theory especially simple harmonic motion in one product. This article was the result of development research of physics teaching materials based on computer assisted instruction on topic simple harmonic motion. Computer assisted instruction based teaching materials in this research used tutorial type. The purpose of this research were to describe validity of CAI based teaching materials, student’s response, and student’s learning result. The techniques of data collection were test, observation, interviews and documentation. The Result of this research were CAI based teaching materials on topic simple harmonic motion was valid with point 4.23, this learning materials had positive response in learning process for topic simple harmonic motion with percentage of agreement 79% and students’learning result is high with score 77. Abstract

The purpose of this study are: (1) Assessing the influence model of ProblemBased Learning (PBL) with the task to learning outcomes of students with learningcommonly used in schools; (2) Assessing the influence model of Problem BasedLearning (PBL) with the task of the science process skills of students in physics inhigh school. This type of research is an experimental research. Research wasconducted in the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year. The populationin this study were all students of class X SMAN 1 Jenggawah. Where the researchwas determined by purposive sampling method area.Techniques and data collectioninstruments used in this study are: observation using observation sheet, in the formof portfolio assessment results Student Worksheet (LKS), tests using the deviceachievement test (post-test), interviews, and documentation.Based on data analysisand discussion, the conclusion of this research are : There is a difference in studentlearning and science process skills high school science class X students betweenclasses eksperimens the control classKeywords: multirepresentation, student worksheet, Problem Based Learningmodel.
