Abstract

Neck pain radiating to the upper trapezius muscles can interfere with the patient's daily activities due to the limited range of motion of the neck, the cervical extensors and flexors become tense due to changes in cervical biomechanics and generally affect workers who require repetition of movements coupled with high work speeds. If you hold your head down for too long it will cause muscle tension or spasm in the neck area and there will be limited neck movement so that the neck is functionally disturbed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of muscle energy techniques in neck muscle pain, spasm of the upper travezius muscles. The design of this study was experimental with a pre test-post test one group design. The research subjects met the criteria, namely neck pain myofascial trigger point of the upper trapezius muscle, men and women with moderate to severe pain intensity, willing to be respondents and no musculoskeletal disorders. This research was conducted in June-July 2018. 10 patients with upper trapezius pain (age 21-23 years) were given muscle energy techniques with minimal isometric contractions and stretching 3 times/week, isometric movements repeated 5 times and stretching on the upper trapezius for 45 second. Pain was measured with a Visual analog scale at the beginning and end of the intervention. The results of the study found a significant reduction in pain with scores (p <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that muscle energy technique is effective in reducing pain in cases of spasm of the upper travezius muscle.

Abstract

“Gresik Stainless Steel Industry is one of the largest stainless steel factories in Indonesia since 1996 until now. With a sufficiently large production capacity, it is possible for the production process to produce emissions/by-products that can pollute the environment. This study approaches the production process of the Gresik Stainless Steel Industry using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method. The scope of this research is gate to gate or during the stainless steel production process from the entry of materials to the release of finished products which include operating units from Coil Preparation Line Units, Coil Grinding Line Units, Mill Units, Annealing Pickling Line Units, Skinpass Units, Slitter Units , to Cut-To-Length Units. Life cycle assessment is carried out using the midpoint approach of the TRACI 2.1 method. Based on the results of the analysis, the APL unit is the operating unit that has the greatest influence on the eutrophication impact which has a total normalized value of 5025.309. This is due to the use of nitric acid as the main ingredient in the acidification process for the stainless steel production process.”

Abstract

The relatively high increase in economic activity and urbanization occurs in urban areas which have great potential to increase energy consumption, including the need for fuel for electricity generation. Changes in air quality have many secondary impacts on the health of humans and other organisms, the beauty of the air, the integrity of buildings and others. The purpose of this air quality monitoring activity is to find out the state of air quality and trends that may occur, examine existing pollution patterns, study the effects of air pollution on the environment, understand the processes that occur in the affected system, to determine how appropriate management and control measures are taken. air pollution and checking whether pollution control is broken. This research method uses data collection techniques in the form of qualitative and quantitative methods. Where is the quantitative method, interviews, documents and statistical data analysis. Meanwhile, judging from the two data, it can be said that it is still under control because the value is still below the threshold determined based on the Regulation of the Minister of State for the Environment No. 21 of 2008 (Appendix IV B Emission Quality Standards for Stationary Sources for PLTD) Fuel Oil.

Abstract

Increasing population growth will affect the mobility of people in carrying out various activities in certain places. Therefore it is necessary to control the number of visitors visiting certain locations/places. The purpose of this research is to build an automatic system to be able to calculate the number of visitors to the room automatically. The research method used is experimental by utilizing Arduino uno and using an ultrasonic sensor, in this case the ultrasonic sensor will be used to be able to detect every movement of a person or human that passes through the sensor. So that it is hoped that the tool built can work optimally in detecting the number of people or visitors who will enter the room or building. The results of this study are the design of a system for calculating the number of visitors in a room or building that has high mobility. The device built uses an ATmega328 microcontroller and an ultrasonic sensor as a human detector. The configuration process for several devices used is using the Arduino IDE software. The conclusion that can be drawn in this study is that the results of testing the performance of the tool show that it is able to provide convenience to building or room managers in knowing the number of visitors entering, leaving visitors and visitors who are still in the room or building.

Abstract

Garbage and water are two important things for human life. Water is one of the natural resources needed by all living things in the world, both humans, animals and plants. Therefore, it must be protected and preserved so that it is not contaminated. One type of pollution is placing garbage close to groundwater sources so that it produces leachate which contaminates the soil. Sidoarjo has a TPS Sambibulu which is a temporary storage area for waste that uses open land because there is no solution to divert it, before finally being disposed of in the Jabon TPA. The location is Jalan Sambibulu, Sambibulu Village, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java 61257. This TPS serves 8,466 people. The average amount of TPS waste is 1024 kg/day, consisting of 39% inorganic waste and 61% organic waste. The purpose of this work is to determine the soil water content in the wells around the TPS with the parameters tested, namely. ammonia (NH3), phosphate (PO), organic matter (KMnO) and groundwater pH at several distances from TPS Sambibulu, and identification. the spread of waste pollution from TPS to groundwater. Based on the results of the study it is known that the majority of pollutant at TPS 0 m, 10 m, 50 m and 100 m exceed PP RI No. 82 of 2001 and PERMENKES RI no. 92/MENKES/PER/IV/2010, but the concentration values of all parameters at a distance of 100 meters from TPS meet the approved quality standards.

Abstract

Retaining wall is a type of turf that is used to prevent soil from collapsing. Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data can be used to calculate the limit bearing capacity. The purpose of this research is to calculate the limit bearing capacity, to analyze retaining walls and soil stability and to calculate the depth of the pile foundation of retaining walls. This type of research method is quantitative and qualitative research. The research results were obtained based on the soil structure profile of the SPT test results for foundation depth, in which the relative density level of the sand layer can be known, namely N: 0–4 very loose. N :4–10 Release. N : 10–30 Moderate. N : 30–50 Solid. N :>50 Very Dense. And the relative density level of the clay layer can be known, namely N : 0–2 Very Soft. N : 2–4 Soft. N : 4–8 Moderate. N : 8–15 Hard/Stiff. M : 15–30 Very Loud. N : >30 Dense: sedimentary soil type consisting of rocky sandy loam (0.00 – 4.80 m). The carrying capacity using the targazhi method is 29.14 tons. Using the Mayerhof method of 184.45 tonnes. For the soil type of this steel bridge project, the penetration depth of the soil foundation is 6.50m.

Abstract

This research aims as one of the tools to promote Fitness and Gymnastics GOR Bimo Seno using multimedia products in the form of promotional videos through social media. In making this thesis, researchers used qualitative methods and SWOT analysis methods. Fitness and Gymnastics GOR Bimo Seno does not have adequate promotional media, causing Fitness and Gymnastics to experience a decrease in visitors and is still poorly known in the community of Masaran district. Therefore, modern promotional media is needed. Which in the application of multimedia, especially Motion Graphics, is very developed, especially in the field of promotion used in companies in the era of modernization and all digitan like today. This promotional video is expected to have a positive impact on companies and communities in the masaran district and surrounding areas in the form of promotional videos by displaying existing facilities and services provided by Fitness and Gymnastics GOR Bimo Seno.

Abstract

Highways are one of the land transportation infrastructures that are very important in aspects of human activity, so that road conditions are expected to provide a sense of security and comfort for users of highway infrastructure. However, along with the increasing population in the Medan City area, the need for transportation facilities has also increased, causing a decrease in the quality of the highways which has an impact on road damage caused by roads that are burdened with high volumes of traffic repeatedly. In this study, each type of damage was measured directly in the field and analyzed using the Pavement Condition Index method and the Bina Marga method as an alternative for damage management. Based on the results of this study, the level of damage to the flexible pavement that occurred on Jalan Willem Iskandar, was that there were 7 types of damage, namely crocodile skin cracks, longitudinal cracks, transverse cracks, patches, holes, subsidence, and overturns. The overall average pavement condition index (PCI) value on the Williem Iskandar road is 64.08% with good conditions so that an alternative repair that is appropriate to the damaged conditions is to carry out maintenance per unit segment with reference to the Directorate General of Highways Standard Repair Method.

Abstract

The learning process for vocational higher education applies a composition of 30 percent theory and 70 percent practice. A larger composition of practical learning will guarantee an increase in the quality of students' expertise, because in practical learning students practice in workshops that produce workpieces in the form of products that have economic value. Workpieces are made by manufacturing processes using industrial-based machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills, grinders, and others. Practical work in the workshop is carried out for one week or the equivalent of 38 hours. The quality of the workpiece is also a parameter for student assessment which will become one of the semester graduation requirements so as to produce quality students in their fields. However, there are problems in practicum activities in the vocational field that are most experienced by almost all vocational education institutions, namely workpiece waste. Vaccination education managers must think about how to optimize or utilize work objects resulting from student practice. Not a few students' work is ignored or thrown away and not utilized. This is the background of this research. This study aims to make mechanical device products that have economic value by utilizing students' work. The product manufacturing method begins with data collection, planning and drawing, the manufacturing process, assembling, and testing. From the results of the tool making, 4 types of prototype products were obtained, namely table vise, bending tools, C clamps, mini press tools. From the four products made, it can be concluded that the tool manufacturing process went according to plan and optimal results were obtained.

Abstract

Music albums in the current era of globalization are quite sought after by their fans, not only by young people, but fans are starting to reach all walks of life, from children, young people and even adults who also buy albums for their own pleasure and hobby needs. In this study, researchers tried to dig up information about music album sales, especially Korean album sales, which are currently on the rise and are enjoyed by many people, namely NCT127. Which is where NCT127 itself is one of the music groups from the country of Gineng, namely South Korea, which recently held a concert in Jakarta which had an extraordinary effect. So from that the researchers tried to analyze the level of sales of nct127 music albums by using the estimation algorithm in data mining. namely Linear Regression to find out and predict the level of Korean album sales by looking for the values ​​of X, Y, X2, Y2, XY which is done by looking for the coefficient values ​​and the dependent variable of each attribute or label.
