Abstract

One topic that is often considered difficult by students is acid and base material. Based on the results of the pre-research, it shows that students of MA Almuhtadi have difficulty with acid and base material. One promising innovation is the use of e-module flipbooks. However, good media needs to be combined with the right learning approach. One approach that has proven effective is guided inquiry learning. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of e-module flipbooks based on guided inquiry learning in improving student learning outcomes in acid and base material. The research design used in this study was a pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. Analysis of test result data was carried out using a paired t-test (for normal data) or Wilcoxon test (non-normal data). If the results obtained show a difference between before and after learning using the e-Module Flipbook based on Guided Inquiry Learning, an effectiveness test was carried out using the N-Gain score. The results of the normality test showed that the data was normally distributed. The results of the paired t-test sig. 0.000 <0.05 (there is a difference in the use of e-Module Flipbook based on Guided Inquiry Learning). The results of the N-Gain test obtained a value of 75%, meaning that the use of the Flipbook e-Module based on Guided Inquiry Learning for Acid-Base material is quite effective

Abstract

The research aims to analyze environmental issues in the form of water crisis in the novel Dry by Neal and Jarrod Shusterman. The story focuses on the main character Alyssa using an ecocritical approach by raising six concepts, namely pollution, apocalypse, wilderness, dwelling, animal and earth which are put forward by Greg Garrard. The approach used in this is a contextual oriented approach, which views literary works as cultural products that are closely related to social, political, and environmental conditions at a certain time. The results of the research show that Dry significantly presents ecological issues through natural disasters, social conflicts, the collapse of community structures and the struggle for survival in the midst of the disasters that occur. In addition to the concepts of wilderness, animal and earth are also seen in the efforts and behaviors of the characters in their adventures and also their responses to animals. This research is expected to contribute to the study of environmental literature, as well as become a reference in ecological literacy learning through literary work.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the process of self-discovery and individuation of the main character in Matt Haig's novel "The Midnight Library" using Carl Jung's analytical psychology. The background of this research is based on issues of depression, regret, and the search for the meaning of life, which are the core conflicts of the main character, Nora Seed. This research employs a context-oriented approach with close reading techniques of narrative and conversation in the novel. The results show that Nora's self-discovery process begins with awareness of her shadow, including guilt, trauma, and past regrets. This process develops into individuation as Nora accepts these aspects and integrates the conscious and unconscious parts of herself. Nora's final decision to return to living life as it is marks her success in achieving wholeness, which also improves her mental health and emotional well-being.

Abstract

Puisi merupakan salah satu karya sastra yang kompleks, dengan elemen-elemen sperti pemilihan diksi, frasa, dan penggunaan gaya bahasa, tidak hanya dapat menghadirkan bahasa yang indah, melainkan juga memperdalam makna yang ingin disampaikan oleh pernyairnya. Penelitian ini mencoba menelaah makna intensi yang terkandung dalam puisi Yang Terampas dan Yang Putus karya Chairil Anwar. Puisi karya Chairil Anwar ini merupakan salah satu contoh puisi modern yang hadir di masa peralihan dunia kesusastraan indonesia, terutama dalam karya puisi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kajian pustaka yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berdasarkan teori hermeneutika sastra. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa makna intensi yang terdapat dalam puisi Yang Terampas dan Yang Putus karya Chairil Anwar berupa bentuk kehilangan harapan dan semangat hidup, kematian, dan juga pergolakan cinta yang dialami oleh penyair.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to test the effectiveness of learning media using quiz apk on vocabulary mastery. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. The study was conducted at MTs Salafiyah Siman Sekaran class VIII. Data collection techniques were carried out with pre-test and post-test. The instrument used was a student worksheet with a multiple-choice model. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in the implementation of the pretest and posttest. This is evidenced by the increase in the average count of the pretest and posttest scores which increased with an average value of 90.13. In addition, based on the results of the t-test, it can be seen that sig (2-tailed) 0.000 is smaller than 0.05. Thus, it is stated that learning media using the Quizizz apk is effectively applied in the vocabulary mastery of class VIII students.

Abstract

This study is an effort to improve student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject through the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model to lower grade students at SDI Asy Syarif Mojokerto. This study was motivated by low student learning outcomes and below the KKM in the Indonesian language subject. The research method used was classroom action research (PTK). The research sample was conducted randomly with a total of 30 students. Data analysis used quantitative data with percentage increase techniques. The results of the study showed that student learning outcomes increased quite significantly in cycle 1 by 40% and cycle 2 by 67%. This provides significant evidence that the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of lower grade students at SDI Asy Syarif Mojokerto.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman di dunia perguruan tinggi tidak hanya menuntut mahasiswa untuk cerdas secara akademik, melainkan keterampilan soft skill. Keterampilan tersebut tentu dapat dilakukan oleh mahasiswa ketika aktif berada di jalur organisasi. Organisasi akan memberikan nuansa bagi mahasiswa dalam memberikan wawasan kompleks tentang cara berpikir kritis dan analitis, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, keterampilan berkomunikasi, dan membangu relasi. Aktif di organisasi akan memberikan corak secara akademik dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lingkungan mahasiswa yang aktif organisasi Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng Jombang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perolehan hasil korelasi sederhana sebesar 0,621 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa keaktifan berorganisasi dapat memberikan dampak terhadap prestasi belajar Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng Jombang.

Abstract

Abstrak: This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of animation video in improving students’ vocabulary achievement and to explore students’ responses toward the use of multimedia in vocabulary learning. The research employed a quasi-experimental design involving two eleventh-grade classes from a vocational school: the experimental class (TKJ), which was taught using animation videos, and the control class (TKR), which received conventional instruction. Richard Mayer’s Multimedia Learning Theory served as the theoretical foundation, emphasizing the cognitive benefits of combining verbal and visual elements. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, and classroom observations. The results of the Mann-Whitney U Test revealed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Students in the experimental group scored higher and showed more positive responses toward the learning process. The Students were more motivated, engaged, and found vocabulary easier to understand through animation. In conclusion, the use of animation video not only improves vocabulary achievement significantly but also fosters a more interactive and engaging learning environment for vocational school students. Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki efektivitas video animasi dalam meningkatkan pencapaian kosakata siswa dan untuk mengeksplorasi tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan multimedia dalam pembelajaran kosakata. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental yang melibatkan dua kelas kelas sebelas dari sebuah sekolah kejuruan: kelas eksperimen (TKJ), yang diajar dengan menggunakan video animasi, dan kelas kontrol (TKR), yang menerima instruksi konvensional. Teori Pembelajaran Multimedia dari Richard Mayer menjadi landasan teori, yang menekankan pada manfaat kognitif dari penggabungan elemen verbal dan visual. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test, post-test, dan observasi kelas. Hasil dari Mann-Whitney U Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, yang menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara kedua kelompok. Siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen mendapatkan nilai yang lebih tinggi dan menunjukkan respon yang lebih positif terhadap proses pembelajaran. Siswa lebih termotivasi, terlibat, dan menemukan kosakata yang lebih mudah dipahami melalui animasi. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan video animasi tidak hanya meningkatkan pencapaian kosakata secara signifikan, tetapi juga menumbuhkan lingkungan belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menarik bagi siswa sekolah kejuruan.
