Abstract

The massive use of inorganic fertilizers without adequate organic fertilizers will cause land and plant productivity to decline. This study aims to obtain a combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers and their effect on rice production. The study used a Randomized Block Design with three replications and four treatments, namely a) full inorganic package (200 urea + 200 kg Phonska), b) organic fertilizer + 75% inorganic fertilizer, c) organic fertilizer + 50% inorganic fertilizer, d) organic + 25% inorganic fertilizers. Organic fertilizers are given as essential fertilizers, while half of the inorganic fertilizers are given when the plants are planted and the rest when the tillers are active. The results showed that: 1) Applying a combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers increased the percentage of productive tillers, weight of 1000 grains and weight of dry grain harvested per hectare. 2) Application of organic fertilizer + 75% NPK can increase grain weight by 4% compared to using only NPK fertilizer. The results of the study recommend that fertilizing rice with a combination of organic fertilizer + 50% NPK needs to be considered for increasing paddy grain production and improving the quality of rice fields.

Abstract

The scaffolding concept is still relevant for the current context: where the teaching and learning process is done online or hybrid. Its concept brings students to be the centre of learning and autonomous for their learning. They take the role in their learning after having been treated procedurally with scaffolding. Looking at the first implementation of it, the treatment gave positives impacts on the students learning in literacy. They were gradually and temporarily being faded from the teacher’s guidance and they become self-directed. Having a teacher’s absence physically, being autonomous and self-directed are potentially got from scaffolding. As aforementioned, this literature review describes its notion and kinds that are applicable to teaching literacy.

Abstract

Nowadays, there are many educational problems experienced by the education system in Indonesia. The educational problem that is most clearly seen as an evaluation of the learning process is the problem of learning outcomes for Indonesian students in Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) and Program for International Student Assessment (PISA). In terms of developing the personality or character of students, problems with disciplinary action, juvenile delinquency, honesty, and so on still adorn Indonesian education today. Educators must shape the character of students based on their local potential. The local potential can be in the form of local wisdom that forms a positive attitude of students in order to survive in the 21st-century competition. Seeing the problems that have been previously disclosed, the world of education in Indonesia actually needs to redefine the educational philosophy that underlies its curriculum to meet future curriculum needs. The results of qualitative descriptive research show 1) that the philosophical schools that underlie education are idealism, perennialism, reconstructionism, essentialism, progressivism, pragmatism, realism, materialism, and existentialism, 2) Philosophy for the current curriculum is related to the current curriculum. which is related to the independent learning curriculum and the independent campus is closely related to the philosophy of progressivism and materialism, 3) While the philosophical schools that underlie the future curriculum are the idealism, pragmatism, and humanist philosophy of Ki Hajar Dewantara

Abstract

The increasing population demands the provision of increased residential infrastructure as well. As a result of development in a horizontal direction, it causes land-use change. The concept of vertical development is rejected by some people because they feel cemer/leteh when they enter the lower floors, therefore an understanding of vertical sanctity is needed in the design of high-rise buildings. This study aims to reveal the relationship between vertical sanctity and high-rise building design, and public acceptance of high-rise building designs in an effort to realize environmentally-friendly residential infrastructure. The method used is interviews with stakeholders and input data from questionnaires so that it is known the relationship between vertical sanctity and high-rise building design. The results obtained are that there is a relationship between vertical sanctity and high-rise building design and that people accept a minimum vertical distance of sanctity that is applied in the design of high-rise buildings. It is hoped that this vertical sanctity concept can be worldwide and accepted by the international community.
