Abstract

Kereneng Market is a place where the buying and selling process takes place, where most of the traders and buyers or the public who come to Kereneng Market use transportation services (vehicles) to get to the market. This activity resulted in an increase in the volume of vehicles entering the Kereneng Market area due to the activities that occurred, and even when the market caused congestion at the Kereneng intersection and its surroundings. To anticipate this, it is necessary to provide adequate and neatly arranged parking facilities so that they can provide the parking services desired by all parties. The method used in collecting data in this research is direct observation in the field by conducting a survey. The survey was conducted for 3 (three) days, namely on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The results of the research on the characteristics of parking at Kereneng Market include parking volume, parking accumulation, parking turnover rate, average parking duration and parking index. After doing the research, it can be seen the characteristics of the parking for each vehicle, namely the average volume of motorcycles is5309.3vehicles, while for cars is 658 vehicles on average market day, the highest accumulation of parking for motorcycles occurs at 05.00 – 06.00 00 in the eastern Indonesia time zone which is 1245 vehicles, while for cars occurs at 07.00 – 08.00 00 in the eastern Indonesia time zone which is 138 vehicles. Based non the results of the research, it shows that the capacity of the Kereneng Market parking area is no longer able to meet the needs of parking users

Abstract

In regression analysis, there are three regression curve approach methods: parametric approach, semiparametric approach, and nonparametric approach. One of the estimation methods in nonparametric regression is spline regression with parameter estimation methods, namely smoothing, truncated, and penalized. Penalized spline estimation controls the smoothness of the curve so that the curve avoids stiffness and overfitting and does not require assumptions. This study aims to analyze the open unemployment rate in Java, which has the highest open unemployment rate in Indonesia, where studies using this approach have never been conducted. The study's results resulted in an additive Mean Square Error (MSE) of 4.137 with a coefficient of determination of 44.58%, indicating that explanatory variables of 44.58% could explain the open unemployment rate. Based on the parameter significance test, the factors that significantly effect the open unemployment rate are the dependency ratio, the GDP growth rate, senior high school gross enrollment, percentage of the poor population, and population growth rate.

Speaking skills also apply media to broaden students' knowledge and insight into various fields of life. This study made use of a classroom action research design with two cycles of learning activities to improve students' speaking skills through BEST strategy. Data were collected through pre-test, post-test, and questionnaire. The results showed that the speaking skills of the students improved significantly from the first and second cycles when compared to the results of the pre-test. Therefore, the BEST strategy is considered effective for teaching speaking skills. Abstract

Sustainable agriculture is the use of renewable and non-renewable resources for the agricultural production process by minimizing the negative impact on the environment to a minimum. Economically profitable and accountable. Farmers are able to generate profits in sufficient and stable production levels, at an acceptable level of risk. With an ecological perspective, the quality of agroecosystems is maintained or improved, by maintaining ecological balance and conserving biodiversity. Organic farming is one of the implementations of sustainable agriculture. The shift in the use of chemical inputs to organic inputs has an optimal effect on potential environmental conservation. Therefore, organic fertilizer is very potential to be developed in the agricultural business. The results showed that the internal factor is the quality of human resources in adopting integrated agriculture through the use of organic fertilizers and product quality is highly dependent on climatic factors. External factors are seen in the development of globalization with digital marketing and competition for fertilizer products on a global scale. The alternative strategy is the Strenght Opportunity Strategy, namely improving the quality of organic fertilizers, optimizing organizational management and prioritizing customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The people's market is one of the most tangible indicators to see the level of economic life of the surrounding community. The people's market does not only involve economic actors in the agricultural and food sectors but also non-agricultural actors such as financial service actors and transportation service actors whose existence is indirectly very meritorious (Firmanzah and Halim, 2012). The approach to the agricultural sector that is still being carried out today is the approach through the agribusiness system. As a people's market that is also visited by tourists, the People's Market in Bali must meet the requirements of a healthy market, with Indonesian national standards, and standards for organizing Balinese cultural tourism. The People's Market in Bali has the potential to be developed as a tourist attraction. The intended tourist attraction is the type of Balinese Cultural Tourism.

Abstract

Vocabulary development is critical from both a theoretical and a practical point of view. Vocabulary is a central factor in the process of language learning. This research is based on the idea that students are required to use English in daily interactions in the school's language program. Therefore, learning English vocabulary is crucial for improving students’ language skills. Teachers must know the students' abilities before conducting the learning activities. This study used ex post facto research design to reveal students’ vocabulary ability by conducting sentence construction tests. The study found that students' vocabulary is at a sufficient level. Therefore, students are required to improve their vocabulary to a higher level. This study highlights that various vocabulary activities should be intensified in the classroom to build up students’ active vocabulary and enable them to speak communicatively.
