Abstract

Pneumonia is an acute lower respiratory tract disease that affects the lung parenchyma, including the alveoli and interstitial tissue. Radiological examination is considered the gold standard in confirming the diagnosis of pneumonia. The curriculum aims to emphasize the role of ultrasound (USG) in the form of Lung Ultrasound Score (LUS) in diagnosing and monitoring pneumonia. LUS examination is simple, easy to use, cost-effective, non-invasive, and reduces radiation exposure. This tool demonstrates high sensitivity and specificity compared to chest X-rays and CT scans of the chest. However, this diagnostic tool is operator-dependent, hence requiring standardized skills and expertise among operators to diagnose pneumonia consistently.

Abstract

This research presents a qualitative research method with an analytical approach to several videos on YouTube related to Marketing Management support for MSMEs for Persons with Disabilities in Indonesia. The research implementation method involves selecting relevant YouTube videos, content analysis, and preparing strategy recommendations. Also with the technique of selecting the 10 highest viewed videos after being filtered by 3 search hashtags, namely #Marketing #MSMEs #Disability. The results of this research reveal that there is still a small intensity in the number of viewers whose highest views are still below 1000, there is still a need for special assistance for MSMEs with disabilities, whether families or other parties, there is still a need for effective marketing strategies, and strengthening branding through social media, one of which is YouTube. The implications of this research are improving marketing strategies, strengthening supporting communities, visibility and accessibility of Disabled MSMEs, as well as increasing public acceptance of their products and services for Disabled MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

There are several methods for solving nonlinear equations, each method has a different number of iterations. This study aims to compare the number of iterations required by the Bisection, Regula Falsi, and Secant Method in finding the roots of an equation. These three methods were tested using two different equations in the Python programming language. From each equation in this study, Bisection Method requires thirteen and eighteen iterations, Regula Falsi Method requires nine and eight iterations, while Secant Method requires five iterations. From these three methods, Secant Method requires the fewest number of iterations, Regula Falsi Method requires a greater number of iterations than the Secant Method but less than the Bisection Method, and Bisection Method requires the highest number of iterations.

Abstract

This study implemented the improved multistep comprehensive reaction for pyrolysis in a fluidized bed reactor. Particle shrinkage models were developed with variations of constant and nonconstant particle size with different char densities. Different biomass particle sizes were also investigated to observe their decomposition characteristic in a fluidized bed reactor. A multifluid model framework integrated with heterogeneous chemical reactions was developed to simulate fast biomass pyrolysis in a 2-D computational domain. The improved multistep comprehensive reaction exhibited good agreement with experimental pyrolysis product yields and their compositions. Shrinkage models with constant particle size promoted segregation and tended to generate coarse gradients between the dense zone and the freeboard. By contrast, the shrinkage models with nonconstant particle size favored more homogeneous biomass and char & metaplastic mass fractions in the reactor and reduced segregation. Models 4–6 exhibited positive representations of particle shrinkage with particle volume reductions of 54.4%, 54.3% and 50.7%, respectively

Abstract

Hospitals play a strategic role in accelerating the improvement of public health standards. Health services require hospitals to provide high-quality care while adhering to medical and professional codes of ethics. Every individual has the right to receive quality, safe, and affordable healthcare. Based on the above, the research problem statement is: How do service quality factors affect inpatient satisfaction at Ibnu Sina Hospital in 2023? A descriptive analysis using a cross-sectional approach. The research method employed is quantitative, with data collected through questionnaires. Patient services are excellent, and the alignment between inpatient expectations and the quality of healthcare services is very high, resulting in patient satisfaction with the services provided at Ibnu Sina Hospital in 2023.

Abstract

The influence of music on modern life is evident through the widespread use of earphones, which is particularly popular among teenagers. While offering convenience for listening to music in various situations, the use of earphones is also linked to the risk of Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL). Earphones generate high noise intensity, reaching levels that can damage hearing, especially when used for extended periods. Global data from the World Health Organization (WHO) indicates a high prevalence of hearing loss, and Indonesia is among the countries with a significant prevalence. The type of research used is observational analytic using a cross-sectional study approach. Determination of the number of samples in this study was by total sampling technique. Univariate data analysis is presented in the form of frequency distribution and percentage and bivariate analysis using the Chi Square test and data processing using the computerized SPSS version 16.0 program. There is a significant relationship between the use of earphones and hearing loss in students of SMA Negeri 8 Luwu Timur.

Abstract

Resource conflicts in Indonesia have been going on for a long time, especially regarding land ownership and natural resources such as gold, nickel, oil and gas and others. This conflict involves the state, companies and indigenous communities. One example is the conflict between Freeport and the Papuan people regarding gold mining there. These conflicts can be analyzed using Resource Warfare, Asymmetric Warfare, and State Defense theories. The aim of this research is to analyze resource conflicts in Indonesia using these theories, as well as looking at the role of resources in winning asymmetric wars. This research uses qualitative methods by conducting a literature review of the theories of Resource Warfare, Asymmetric Warfare, and State Defense, as well as case studies of resource conflicts in Indonesia such as Freeport in Papua, Newmont in Sulawesi, and Pongkor in West Java. Data was collected from various references and then analyzed descriptively. The results of the analysis show that resource conflicts in Indonesia can be understood through Resource Warfare and Asymmetric Warfare theories. Countries, companies and indigenous communities compete for resources for their respective interests. In an asymmetric war, possession of resources such as gold and nickel becomes important to win the war. Meanwhile, State Defense theory explains the state's efforts to defend its sovereignty and security regarding this resource conflict.
