Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu Ushuluddin
Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu Ushuluddin (e-ISSN 2774-8340) is a peer-reviewed journal that is published by the Faculty of Ushuluddin UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This Journal publishes current original research on religious studies and Islamic studies using an interdisciplinary perspective, especially within Islamic Theology (Ushuluddin) studies and its related teachings resources: Religious studies, Islamic thought, Islamic philosophy, Quranic studies, Hadith studies, and Islamic mysticism. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

<![CDATA[The purpose of this paper is to recognize ethics in the perspective of Islamic philosophy. This research uses qualitative techniques based on a literature search. The research concludes that the formulation of ethics in Islam was done by various thinkers from various branches of knowledge, including theologians, mystics, and philosophers. The contributions of these multiple disciplines show how rich and complex the tradition of ethics in Islam is, with each branch of thought offering a unique perspective on developing a framework in Islamic ethics. The shortcoming of this study is that it discusses ethics in the perspective of Islamic philosophy in outline. In future research, this study suggests going deeper into the literature of Islamic ethics specifically on the thought of Muslim philosophers so that future studies of Islamic philosophy are not limited to topics such as the metaphysics of divinity, the creation of nature, and logic. Furthermore, by giving more attention to the study of ethics in Islam, the study of Islamic philosophy has the potential to open a space for dialogue with contemporary moral issues.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to examine more deeply the principle of Kafa'ah contained in the hadith regarding choosing a prospective partner who is classified according to four criteria, namely in terms of wealth, ancestry, appearance, and religion. These four criteria are then correlated with the rules of al-'Adatu Muhakkamah because it is considered that there is a tendency for each person to have the habit of choosing a potential partner according to their temperament, in other words choosing someone who is equal or equal to themselves. The research method used is a qualitative method with a library research approach. The results of this research can be concluded that understanding the hadith and opinions of ulama in choosing a mate must be based on the principle of Kafa’ah (equality) where this is also influenced by the habits that exist in society.]]>

<![CDATA[The neglect of family as the primary educational environment for children is the root of many issues in the world of education. However, the influence of family on a child's character and education is significant. Disharmony is suspected as the cause of educational failure within families. Utilizing sociological, anthropological, and psychological approaches, this paper aims to explore the concept of education based on the idea of sakinah. Qualitative data collected through library research and analyzed through content analysis is used in this writing. It is found that education based on sakinah will reduce the likelihood of children experiencing trauma, which will have a significant impact on their future, both emotionally and intellectually.]]>

<![CDATA[Thomas Kuhn's thinking in this case is used as an analytical knife to see the revolution in science and education in general. For Thomas Kuhn, the history of science is a starting point in studying fundamental issues in scientific epistemology because science is basically always marked by a strong scientific paradigm and revolution afterward. The purpose of this study is to find out the philosophical foundations of Thomas S. Kuhn's scientific paradigm. The method used is a qualitative approach by applying a descriptive-analytical method. The results of this study show that, according to Kuhn, a paradigm is a set of beliefs, values, methods, and practices that are widely accepted by the scientific community.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this paper is not to close the dots through the imposition of a single understanding. The author simply wants to highlight significant points of ‘contestation’ in the way we understand or even blur the boundaries between the religious and the political. This research uses a qualitative method that is based on a literature study. We conclude that there are multiple and sometimes competing understandings of terms such as religion, secularism, secularisation and post-secular that shape and are shaped by discussions about the relationship between religion, politics and public life. For future researchers, we suggest exploring the correlation between religion, politics and the public sphere more specifically in order to create a paradigm that does not corner one another so that there is no overlap in understanding these three elements.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to explain the construction of ecotheology from the perspective of contemporary interpreters based on comparison of contemporary interpretive texts. The creation of humans as caliphs on earth which has the meaning of being a substitute has experienced a shift in meaning in several contemporary interpretations. This theoretical study of environmental issues was studied using descriptive qualitative methods through interpretation results with plural dimensions. The data processing and analysis process is carried out using content analysis methods in thematic interpretation aspects related to environmental issues. A number of terms related to ecology in the Al-Qur'an show the relationship between human rights and environmental rights. Humans are ecologically part of the living environment, so the sustainability of human entities actually depends on environmental balance. The universe has a human right to be treated as well as possible as a life partner for humans to carry out their shared roles in serving God.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to discuss the stylistics of the Al-Qur'an, as well as provide an in-depth analysis of the poetry in Surah Al-'Asr and the effects it has on readers and listeners. Stylistics is very important for linguistic studies and literary studies. Stylistics can contribute to research on language style, which is the main element for achieving various forms of meaning in literary works, because literary works cannot be separated from the use of language style and beauty. The research method used in this research is the analytical descriptive method. After the required data is collected, the data will be elaborated with descriptive explanations. Sound harmony is realized in the form of consonant and vowel sounds. Overall, several verses in Surah al-'Asr end in rhyme with the vowel /i/. while the vowel sounds contained in several of the words of the poem are the vowel /a/ with a total of 3 letters, the vowel /u/ with a total of 1 letter, and the vowel /i/ with a total of 4. The harmony of these sounds can also be felt by listeners when al- When the Qur'an is listened to, the harmonious and beautiful sounds of course give rise to psychological aspects for the listeners who read the verses. Furthermore, the harmony of sound also has an effect on the meaning produced. So that harmonious sounds produce beautiful and harmonious meanings]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this paper is to present an ideal Qur'anic leadership model, using the perspective of the Qur'an and the interpretation of the story of the Prophet Sulaiman AS as the main source of inspiration. The writing of this work also used qualitative techniques based on literature searches and the Maudhu'i method. This paper concludes that the message of wisdom in the Al-Qur'an conveys a leadership concept that includes intellectual and spiritual capabilities, capabilities for cadre formation and good communication, good managerial capabilities, good social responsibility, and a disciplined and firm attitude. Through revitalization efforts, it is hoped that the idea of a leadership prototype from the perspective of the Qur'an will be a trigger for the birth of benefits in world life, especially in Indonesia. The weakness of this article is that it only discusses the leadership prototype of one prophet's story. In subsequent writings, this study suggests exploring more specifically the Al-Qur'an exegetical literature on leaders in order to explore more diverse and comprehensive Qur'anic leadership values as criteria for quality leaders.]]>

<![CDATA[The literary exegesis of the Qur'an developed by Amin Al-Khuli offers a new approach to interpreting the sacred text as a response to critiques of classical exegesis and modern cultural and intellectual developments. This study aims to explore the evolution of Qur'anic interpretation in the contemporary era, with a focus on Amin Al-Khuli’s literary exegesis of the verses on fasting and its relevance to the sociological and psychological conditions of Muslims who fast. The research uses a qualitative approach with library research methods, where data is gathered through literature review and analyzed using techniques of inventory, classification, and interpretation. The findings reveal that Al-Khuli’s literary exegesis provides a deeper and more contextual understanding of the fasting verses, linking the aspects of language and Qur'anic meaning with contemporary social and psychological conditions. The conclusion of this research is that the literary exegesis approach not only enriches the understanding of the text but also offers practical solutions to the challenges faced by Muslims in fasting practices. Recommendations for future research include conducting field studies to collect more empirical data and exploring the integration of literary exegesis with other interpretive approaches for broader application in Muslims' daily lives.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to examine the results of the meaning of the activities of the Al-Qur'an Village Movement in Cijaha Village, Kadongdong, Subdistrict, Banjarwangi, Garut district, West Java using a typology of meaning from Karl Mannheim's theory of the sociology of knowledge. The activities of the Al-Qur'an village movement are as a forum for students and female students to become mobilizers who serve the community by disseminating knowledge of the Al-Qur'an. This research uses field research with a descriptive-qualitative method based on Karl Mannheim's theory of the sociology of knowledge. Through this research method, findings were produced in the form of the Al-Qur'an Village Movement activities which produced volunteers who were sensitive to social and community conditions who were enthusiastic about practicing the reading and values of the Al-Qur'an, so that it was useful in reducing the illiteracy rate of the Al-Qur'an. deviant social behaviour and personality.]]>
