Abstract

Abstract

Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali serves as a critical gateway for tourists, especially in the post-pandemic era. This study evaluates the service quality of the airport using the Fuzzy Servqual and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) methods. A sample of 100 respondents was analyzed to assess five dimensions of service quality: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The findings indicate that several attributes of the service require improvement, particularly in terms of adequacy of infrastructure, service clarity, and responsiveness to passenger feedback. The IPA analysis identified two attributes as high-priority areas for improvement. Recommendations for enhancing service quality are proposed to better align with passenger expectation and satisfaction.

Abstract

Research findings of business management academics are often not applicable in solving concrete problems faced by business practitioners. This is due to the academic orientation that prioritize research with strict objectivity, while practitioners require research that address real-world issues. This syudy aims to bridge both interests by offering an interactive research approach. The research was conducted in collaboration with practitioners from Credit Union Kridha Rahardja, focusing on the case of digital transformation, specifically the achievements of the EsCeTe mobile banking application. The research succesfully increased the activation rates of EsCeTe, the frequency of EsCeTe transactions, and the transaction fees of EsCeTe, while also generating knowledge about actors and their capabilities in implementing digital transformation. Additionally, this study outlines the steps involved in condufting interactive research, along with the chalenges and solution to overcome them

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Creative Economy and Blue Economy on the Economic Welfare of Coastal Fishermen, with Financial Inclusion as a mediating variable. Langsa City, Aceh, was chosen as the research site due to its significant marine potential, yet facing a decline in the number of fishermen from 3,194 in 2023 to 2,359 in 2024, despite the increasing contribution of the fisheries sector to regional GDP. This phenomenon highlights the need for an inclusive and sustainable coastal economic development strategy. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. A total of 150 fishermen were selected using Slovin’s formula and purposive sampling. The analysis covered outer model evaluation (validity and reliability) and inner model testing (direct effects, moderation, and mediation). The results reveal that the Blue Economy has a positive and significant effect on fishermen’s welfare, while the Creative Economy shows no significant effect. Financial Inclusion positively and significantly influences welfare, but its interaction with the Blue Economy is negative, indicating potential overcapitalization risks if financing is not environmentally sustainable. Mediation by Financial Inclusion is also significantly negative for the Blue Economy pathway, but not significant for the Creative Economy pathway. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening the Blue Economy, providing supportive ecosystems for the creative economy, and implementing sustainability-based financial inclusion (green finance) to improve fishermen’s welfare without compromising marine ecosystems.

Abstract

The economy can be stimulated by functional food entrepreneurship, which involves using local ingredients to create healthful and economically beneficial products through the combination of nutritional knowledge and resources available in the community. The primary objectives of this research are to investigate entrepreneurship prospects by analyzing the desires and opinions of consumers regarding locally produced functional foods, and also to devise sustainable strategies for small and medium-sized businesses. Purchasing decisions are influenced by the level of trust in health claims and the affordability of products. Based on these findings, the study suggests three business strategies: (a) using a local supply chain model to make sure there is a steady supply of raw materials, (b) offering different types of products with varying prices to reach more customers, and (c) helping small businesses improve their ability to research and develop products using scientific evidence.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the urgency of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which require the active participation of the younger generation, especially students, as agents of sustainable change. Low environmental literacy and green entrepreneurship behavior pose challenges in encouraging student contributions to SDG implementation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of environmental knowledge and attitudes toward the environment on support for SDG achievement, with green entrepreneurship behavior as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative method with a Partial Least Square (PLS) approach through the SmartPLS 4.0 application. Data were obtained through an online questionnaire distributed to 274 students at Maarif Hasyim Latif University, after the research instrument was tested for validity and reliability using SPSS version 31 with highly reliable results (Cronbach Alpha 0.944). The R-square value for the green entrepreneurship behavior variable was 0.482 (moderate category) and for the support for SDGs variable was 0.673 (strong category). The results showed that environmental knowledge had a significant effect on green entrepreneurship behavior and support for achieving SDGs, while attitudes toward the environment did not have a significant effect on either variable. Furthermore, green entrepreneurship behavior proved to be a strong and significant mediating variable in increasing support for SDGs. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening environmental literacy and fostering green entrepreneurship in higher education to encourage student’s role in realizing sustainable development.

Abstract

Digital transformation barriers in culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) form a layered barrier system that mutually reinforces and hinders optimization. This qualitative exploratory study involving 10 culinary MSMEs in Bandung identifies five main dimensions of barriers with 42 sub-categories analyzed using NVIVO. Digital literacy emerges as the dominant barrier, followed by technical, financial, operational, and external barriers. The study reveals three new theoretical findings: digital financial literacy as an overlooked dimension, time constraints creating repetitive cycles, and optimization paradox showing the phenomenon of "digital presence without digital performance". Barrier distribution varies based on MSME characteristics. Education-digital capability paradox shows bachelor's degree owners face the highest barriers. Middle-income digital trap appears in MSMEs with monthly revenue of Rp 5-8 million experiencing maximum technical complexity. Early-stage digital struggle dominates new MSMEs, while maturity advantage provides adaptation benefits for established MSMEs. The findings validate the Technology-Organization-Environment framework and generate a layered barrier system theory requiring comprehensive intervention approaches to break the mutually reinforcing barrier cycle.
