Abstract

The research carried out is useful for knowing the shape of the leaves, types, distribution areas of the plants, as well as the local and ethnic names of twenty types of woody plant leaves that are 5 to 10 years old. This research was carried out at the Sadundu Pidu Rora waterfall, Bima Regency. Based on the research results, there were 20 types of leaves that were studied and had different leaf shapes and sizes from other leaves, the leaves studied had local names from the Bima area and had different types and distribution areas. Using the free roaming method and carrying out an approach analysis of plant types that are appropriate to the tropical climate conditions found in the Sadundu Pidu waterfall area in Rora and schematized with clear names for each plant examined as well as documentation of each woody plant leaf.

Abstract

This research aims to study the use of medicinal plants in the community as one of the community's healing traditions in Bumi Pajo Village, Donggo District, Bima Regency as well as the traditional medicinal plant processing methods used by the people of Bumi Pajo Village, Donggo District, Bima Regency. As a type of qualitative research, this research has four informants: village heads, community leaders, religious leaders, and medicine makers. Data collection methods use observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis consists of three stages: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. This study found that the use and management of traditional medicinal plants in Bumi Pajo Village has been passed down from generation to generation. Medicinal plants are processed in various ways, such as boiling, pounding, steaming, pounding, grinding, grating, and kneading in water. Recommendations from this research are (1) The use of medicinal plants must be maintained and taught to the next generation (2) In the process of consuming plants medication by the people of Bumi Pajo Village, care needs to be taken in determining the amount of medication that can be used to prevent or treat disease (3) This is necessary because it is hoped that this will enable researchers to study more factors related to the use of traditional medicine, especially relating to local communities in certain areas.

Abstract

The results of the mortality percentage of golden snails (Pomacea canakuculaka L) show that it is said to be effective if it is more than 50%. Meanwhile, golden snail mortality is said to be ineffective below 50%. At a concentration of 50 gr it shows a mortality percentage of 70%, which means it is effective, while at a concentration of 100 gr it shows a mortality percentage of 76% and at a concentration of 150 gr it shows a mortality percentage of 83%, which means that at a concentration of 100 gr and 150 gr it is effective as a botanical pesticide for tobacco leaves. on mortality of golden snails (pomacea canakuculaka L.). Based on the results of research on the effect of using tobacco leaf botanical pesticides on the mortality of golden snails (Pomacea canakuculaka L.), it can be concluded that the greater the concentration of tobacco leaves used, the more effective the mortality of golden snails (Pomacea canakuculaka L.).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis ikan yang dijual pedagang di pasar Amahami Kota Bima melalui metode penelitian kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data, observasi lapangan serta wawancara dan dokumentasi pedagang. Kesimpulan dari studi keanekaragaman jenis ikan di pasar Amahami adalah terdapat 20 jenis ikan antara lain:ikan tongkol, ikan cakalang, ikan sarden, ikan layur, ikan teri, ikan tengiri, ikan kakap putih, ikan kakap merah, ikan kerapu macan, ikan kerapu tikus, ikan baronang, ikan selar, ikan kembung, ikan madidihang, ikan lencam, ikan tembang, ikan kurisi, ikan ekor kuning, ikan biji nangka, dan ikan belanak, jenis ikan yang dijual oleh pedagang di pasar Amahami.

Abstract

Tonggeret merupakan salah satu jenis serangga yang menghasilkan suara keras dan khas di kawasan Pesantren Pondok Quran Boarding School (PQBS), Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi jenis tonggeret yang ada di kawasan Pesantren Pondok Quran Boarding School (PQBS), Kabupaten Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik VES (Visual Encounter Surveys) di seluruh kawasan Pesantren PQBS selama 14 hari pada 5-19 Mei 2024 pukul 06.00-11.00 dan 13.00-15.00 yang kemudian dibagi menjadi 3 pos pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan 2 jenis tonggeret yaitu Dundubia vaginata sebanyak 39 individu dan Cryptotympana acuta sebanyak 15 individu. Vegetasi seperti pepohonan, semak-semak dan perkebunan serta faktor ekologi seperti suhu dan kelembaban mempengaruhi perjumpaan dengan tonggeret di kawasan Pesantren PQBS. Banyaknya cahaya lampu saat malam hari juga ikut mempengaruhi tingkat perjumpaan dengan tonggeret, karena sebagian besar tonggeret yang dijumpai lokasinya tidak terlalu jauh dari keberadaan lampu.

Abstract

The 2025 global nutrition target aims to reduce stunting, focusing on accelerating efforts in implementing local food innovation. In the Bima area, milkfish (Chanos Chanos) has emerged as a strategic commodity due to its potential to meet children's nutritional needs affordably. However, the fish's many spines pose a choking hazard, especially for children. To address this, an innovative solution has been proposed: processing milkfish into complementary food into milkfish salome. This research sought to determine the acceptability of Salome among children aged 2-5 years. Using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three serving types (soup, grilled, and fried Salome) and purposive sampling, the study employed questionnaires and data analysis through the Anova Analysis and the Games-Howell advanced test. The organoleptic test results indicated that fried Salome was the preferred variant, with subsequent tests revealing significant differences in aroma, texture, taste, and colour among original, fried, and grilled salome. Notably, milkfish Salome offers 6.4 grams of protein, 1.2 grams of fat, and 10.5 grams of carbohydrates per 100-gram serving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perendaman ekstrak daun jeruk purut sebagai bahan pengawet pada konsentrasi yang berbeda terhadap kadar air dan organoleptik dendeng sayat ayam broiler. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan lima kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah konsentrasi ekstrak daun jeruk purut 0%, 5%, 10%, dan 15%. Variabel yang dievaluasi adalah kadar air dan organoleptik yang meliputi warna, rasa, aroma dan tekstur dendeng ayam. Data dianalisis sidik ragam (Anova), dan jika berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perendaman ekstrak daun jeruk nipis dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kadar air dan organoleptik. Respon perendaman ekstrak daun jeruk purut dengan konsentrasi 15% menunjukkan pengaruh yang paling baik terhadap kadar air. Hasil perendaman ekstrak daun jeruk purut dengan konsentrasi 5% menunjukkan pengaruh terbaik terhadap organoleptik dendeng sayat ayam broiler.

Abstract

Household waste management has become a serious challenge for many cities amid population growth and urbanization. Poorly managed waste has the potential to pollute the environment, burden landfills, and decrease the quality of life for communities. This challenge is exacerbated by the low level of waste sorting at the source and illegal dumping. This research develops a system dynamics-based model in the form of a Stock and Flow Diagram (SFD) to analyze the flow of household waste from source to final processing, encompassing community behavior, infrastructure, and intervention policies. The study evaluates two approaches: subsidies for waste processing facilities and strengthening law enforcement against illegal waste disposal. Although the results indicate that law enforcement is more effective in reducing illegal waste, neither approach has succeeded in significantly decreasing the amount of household waste. This shows that existing policies are insufficient to change community behavior. Therefore, a holistic and sustainable approach is needed, including community education, improved accessibility to facilities, and more effective law enforcement to reduce the impact of household waste.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh paparan medan magnet Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) dengan intensitas 300 µT terhadap perubahan pH pada tape ketan mentah. Medan magnet ELF diketahui dapat mempengaruhi proses fermentasi bahan pangan, yang melibatkan mikroorganisme yang rentan terhadap pengaruh faktor eksternal. Penelitian ini membagi tape ketan mentah menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol yang dibiarkan pada suhu ruang tanpa paparan medan magnet, serta kelompok eksperimen yang dipaparkan dengan medan magnet ELF. Pengukuran pH dilakukan setelah paparan untuk menganalisis perubahan yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pH tape ketan mentah kelompok eksperimen setelah terpapar medan magnet ELF mengalami perubahan menjadi 2,32, sementara pH tape ketan mentah kelompok kontrol yaitu 3,16. Perubahan pH tape ketan mentah pada kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan adanya percepatan proses fermentasi yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh paparan medan magnet ELF terhadap mikroorganisme dalam tape ketan. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan mengenai potensi medan magnet ELF dalam memodifikasi proses fermentasi bahan pangan dan membuka peluang untuk penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengembangkan teknologi yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk fermentasi.

Abstract

Medan Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) adalah spektrum gelombang elektromagnetik dengan frekuensi di bawah 300 Hz, terdiri dari komponen medan listrik dan medan magnet. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh medan ELF terhadap proses kematangan bahan pangan, khususnya tape singkong, yang difermentasi menggunakan ragi. Eksperimen dilakukan dengan memaparkan tape singkong mentah pada medan magnet ELF berintensitas 300 μT selama ±20 menit. Analisis meliputi pengukuran pH, massa jenis, serta pengamatan aroma, tekstur, dan rasa (manis, asam, pahit) sebelum dan setelah paparan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa medan ELF mempengaruhi kecepatan fermentasi dan karakteristik fisik tape, seperti tekstur yang lebih lembut, warna, dan daya tahan terhadap kelembapan serta suhu. Tape yang terpapar medan ELF memiliki perubahan signifikan dibandingkan tape tanpa paparan, seperti fermentasi yang lebih cepat dan ketahanan lebih baik terhadap pembusukan. Perubahan ini diduga disebabkan oleh modifikasi struktur molekul bahan akibat interaksi dengan medan magnet. Temuan ini menunjukkan potensi medan ELF sebagai metode non-termal untuk mempercepat pematangan bahan pangan, meningkatkan efisiensi pengolahan pangan di industri. Teknologi ini dapat diterapkan untuk mengoptimalkan kualitas produk, termasuk tekstur, rasa, dan aroma tape singkong.
