Abstract

This study develops Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning media based on Dayak local wisdom and eco-theology to strengthen ecological awareness at the Muhammadiyah Health Vocational School in Palangka Raya. The research employs a modified Borg & Gall R&D model through six stages, including preliminary study, planning, product development, testing, revision, and field implementation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative methods. Findings show the media is highly feasible, with expert validation scoring 91% for material and 88% for media design. Student responses (85%) confirmed its effectiveness in linking Islamic teachings with Dayak values—Tatadanya, Huma Betang, and Pantang Larang—in fostering environmental responsibility. Moreover, ecological awareness among students increased by 27% after implementation. The integration of Islamic eco-theology and Dayak cultural wisdom not only enhanced students’ conceptual understanding but also supported the internalization of ecological values in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This study contributes to the development of IRE media by demonstrating the value of integrating religion, local culture, and environmental education for character building and sustainability.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) in Indonesia emphasizes flexibility, contextualization, and competency-based learning. However, many elementary school teachers, particularly in Madiun Regency, still rely on generic and non-digital materials that fail to represent local socio-ecological realities. This study aims to develop and validate digital teaching materials for Integrated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) based on Madiun’s ethnoecology to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile. Using the Research and Development (R&D) approach adapted from Gall, Gall, and Borg (2007), the research involved students from grades I and IV in selected elementary schools through purposive sampling. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The results show that the developed materials are valid, practical, and effective in improving learning outcomes and fostering critical thinking, environmental awareness, and cooperative values. Students demonstrated increased engagement and conceptual understanding when interacting with digital modules that featured local wisdom such as farming traditions, forest management, and water conservation. Theoretically, this study contributes to the framework of culturally responsive and technology-integrated science education. Its novelty lies in combining IPAS, ethnoecology, digital learning, and Pancasila-based pedagogy, a synthesis that has rarely been explored, especially in elementary education. The findings suggest that integrating local ecological knowledge with digital pedagogy can enhance contextual, meaningful, and character-oriented learning experiences aligned with the goals of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

This study analyzes the competence level of Islamic boarding school caregivers in Kuda Pasir District, Cianjur Regency, focusing on student management, education, and development, as well as identifying challenges in managing student diversity inclusively. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The study assessed caregivers’ competencies across seven aspects: pedagogical, personality, professional, social, managerial, spiritual, and technological-digital. Findings reveal that caregivers possess strong pedagogical and religious foundations but face challenges in educational management, curriculum adaptation, and technology use. Major obstacles in inclusive education include limited resources, lack of understanding of students with special needs (ABK), and persistent stigma within pesantren. Additionally, flexible curriculum design, differentiated instruction, and supporting facilities remain inadequate. To address these issues, the Inclusive Collaborative Training Model (KOLIN) was developed, emphasizing collaboration among caregivers, educational institutions, communities, and religious organizations. Evaluation results indicate improvements in pedagogical, managerial, and technological competencies. This study contributes theoretically to the development of inclusive-collaborative training models and offers practical implications for caregivers, religious institutions, and policymakers to enhance the inclusiveness and competitiveness of Islamic boarding school education.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of praise and worship and the preaching of God’s Word on congregational spiritual growth at Gereja Bethel Indonesia Victorious Family Kelapa Gading. Spiritual growth is a core objective of church ministry, shaped by various internal factors. Among these, praise and worship, along with preaching, are key instruments fostering faith maturity and individual spiritual development. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected via questionnaires from congregants and church workers. The findings reveal a positive and significant combined influence of praise and worship and preaching on congregational spiritual growth. Regression analysis indicates a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.759, meaning these elements account for 75.9% of the influence, while the remainder is shaped by other factors. The results highlight the need for the church to continuously enhance the quality of praise, worship, and preaching in services and programs, while encouraging active participation and personal spiritual discipline among members. This study contributes to practical theology and offers guidance for church ministry strategies aimed at fostering a spiritually mature congregation. Overall, the research emphasizes that intentional and well-integrated worship practices significantly support the spiritual formation of church members, making them essential components in the pursuit of holistic congregational growth.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges and opportunities in teaching Christian Religious Education in public schools in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with Christian Religious Education teachers and classroom observations. The findings reveal several key challenges, including the diversity of student religions, limited resources and facilities, and an inflexible curriculum. Despite these challenges, teachers perceive opportunities in the increased awareness of students about the importance of religion, the use of technology and media in teaching, and the inclusive approach that utilizes religious diversity in the classroom. Teachers see these challenges as opportunities for innovation in teaching, using religious diversity as a basis for teaching universal values and leveraging technology to overcome resource limitations. This research highlights the potential to enhance Christian Religious Education by fostering more relevant, interactive, and inclusive teaching practices, suggesting that overcoming existing barriers can lead to better educational outcomes.

Abstract

The story of Job is a story that is familiar to the three major religions in the world, namely Christianity, Islam and Judaism. For Christianity and Judaism, the story of Job is recorded as a long writing so that it is made into a separate book. The book of Job has problems that have caused much debate, such as whether the story of Job actually exists, who the author is and when it was written, what genre the book is. This article seeks an approach that can provide solutions to these problems. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method by conducting a literature search of both primary sources, namely the text of Job which is intertextual with other books in the Bible. Also, secondary sources are comments or ideas from other authors that are relevant to this research. From the results of the research, it turns out that by using the intertextual approach, alternative answers to the problems in the book of Job were found. Therefore, the intertextual approach of the Bible can be an approach in interpreting the Bible.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and the global ecological crisis demand a renewal of the theological way of thinking, especially in understanding the concept of salvation (soteriology). Contextual theology offers a relevant framework for reflection to reinterpret the Bible's teachings on salvation in digital and ecological contexts. This research aims to reconstruct the understanding of soteriology through the Digital Ecotheology approach that integrates theology, ecology, and technology in an interdisciplinary manner. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining publications from the Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Sinta databases over the past two decades. The results of the study show that there is a shift in the soteriological paradigm from the individualistic dimension to the cosmic, ecological, and digital dimensions. Salvation is understood as a relational restoration between God, man, creation, and technology, which is realized through ecological responsibility and digital ethics. This finding is that today's theology must be dialogical, contextual, and oriented towards the wholeness of creation. This research recommends the development of a systematic theology that combines ecological spirituality and digital awareness as the foundation of the 21st century faith proxy. Further studies are suggested to explore the application of Digital Ecotheological Soteriology in theological education, liturgy, and global church missions.

Abstract

Abstract: This article examines the repositioning and reactualization of madrassas in strengthening the existence of Islamic education in the 4.0 era. This means repositioning the madrasa by making changes and managing it as it is towards more professional management. So it is expected to be able to answer the challenges of the existence of Islamic education in the 4.0 era. Entering the revolutionary era 4.0 with its disruptive innovation, the implementation of Islamic education is free to choose to stay in the old system or try to open up in this era of disruption. The research method in this article is qualitative library research. Therefore, to maintain the existence of Islamic education and to place madrasa with its reactualization, by borrowing the term Rhenald Kasali, there are three steps that must be taken by Islamic education in the 4.0 era, namely disruptive mindset, self-driving, and reshape or create. Artikel ini mengkaji tentang reposisi dan reaktualisasi madrasah dalam memperkuat eksistensi pendidikan Islam di era 4.0. Artinya memposisikan kembali madrasah dengan melakukan perubahan dan pengelolaan yang apa adanya menuju kepengelolaan yang lebih professional. Sehingga diharapkan mampu menjawab tantangan eksistensi pendidikan Islam di era 4.0. Memasuki era revolusi 4.0 dengan disruptive innovation-nya penyelenggaraan pendidikan Islam bebas memilih untuk tetap pada sistem lama atau mencoba membuka diri di era disrupsi ini. Metode penelitian dalam artikel ini adalah kualitatif library research. Oleh sebab itu untuk menjaga eksistensi pendidikan Islam dan menempatkan madrasah dengan reaktualisasinya maka dengan meminjam istilah Rhenald Kasali, ada tiga langkah yang harus dilakukan oleh pendidikan Islam di era 4.0 yaitu disruptive mindset, self-driving, dan reshape or create.

Abstract

Abstract: Madrasa is a place or educational institution to study Islamic knowledge, science, and other expertise in a directed, guided, and controlled manner. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach techniques of using collection data, namely library technique. The results of the analysis show that madrasa have an important role, that is as an educational institution in advancing education and improving the quality of educational organizer that are humanistic, inclusive, and religious. Some things that can be done by the madrasa to achieve the role of madrasa in form the life of humanist, inclusive, and religious education as follows: 1) Madrasa prepares adequate facilities and infrastructure for the teaching and learning process; 2) Madrasas prepares of quality education organizeror human resources in appropriate with competencies; 3) Madrasa prepares curriculum, administration, extracurricular activities, and its management system are formulated and implemented for the benefit of students including ABK; 4) Madrasa must provide the conditions of class that are warm, friendly, accept diversity and respect differences; 5) Madrasa must be prepared to manage heterogeneous classes by applying curriculum and learning that is individualized; 6) The teacher must be implemented interactive learning. Madrasah merupakan tempat atau lembaga pendidikan untuk mempelajari ajaran Islam secara terarah, terpimpin, dan terkendali. Hasil penelitian kualitatif ini menemukan bahwa madrasah memiliki peranan yang penting yaitu sebagai lembaga pendidikan dalam memajukan pendidikan serta meningkatkan kualitas penyelenggara pendidikan yang bersifat humanis, inklusif, dan religius. Beberapa hal yang dapat dilakukan oleh pihak madrasah untuk mencapai peran madrasah dalam membentukkehidupan pendidikan humanis, inklusif, dan religius sebagai berikut : 1) Madrasah mempersiapkan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai untuk proses belajar mengajar; 2)Madrasah menyiapkan penyelenggara pendidikan atau SDM yang berkualitas sesuai dengan kompetensi; 3) Madrasah mempersiapkan kurikulum, administrasi, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, serta sistem pengelolaannya dirumuskan dan dilaksanakan demi kepentingan peserta didik termasuk ABK; 4) Madrasah harus menyediakan kondisi kelas yang hangat, ramah, menerima keaneka-ragaman dan menghargai perbedaan; 5) Madrasah harus siap mengelola kelas yang heterogen dengan menerapkan kurikulum dan pembelajaran yang bersifat individual; 6) Guru harus menerapkan pembelajaran yang interaktif.

Abstract

Abstract: The mainstreaming of Islam that is specifically in the context of Islamic education in Indonesia lately can be seen from the efforts of the Ministry of Religion through the Directorate of Curriculum, facilities, institutions, and students (KSKK) Madrasas in formulating 12 mainstay programs. With this follow-up program it is hoped that an understanding of the concept of Islamic wasathiyah will be created in accordance with the Islamic character of the archipelago. The world of education is a place in shaping the character of the generations of this nation. Moreover, this nation is faced with the threat of radical religious understanding carried out by a group of persons and the disintegration of the nation. Because the process of integrating values ​​in the concept of Islamic wasathiyyah and nationalism with character education in madrasas is very necessary. The process can be done from three sides, namely: through classroom learning, madrasa culture, and extracurricular activities. Similarly, what has been done in MIN 15 Magetan. The integration process is carried out with these three activities. Pengarusutamaan Islam yang wasathan khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan Islam di Indonesia akhir-akhir ini bisa dilihat dari upaya Kemenag melalui Direktorat Kurikulum, sarana, kelembagaan, dan kesiswaan (KSKK) Madrasah dalam merumuskan 12 program andalan. Dengan adanya program tindak lanjut tersebut diharapkan terciptanya pemahaman konsep Islam wasathiyah yang sesuai dengan watak keislaman Nusantara. Dunia pendidikan merupakan wadah dalam membentuk karakter generasi-generasi bangsa ini. Terlebih bangsa ini dihadapkan dengan ancaman pemahaman agama yang radikal yang dilakukan oleh sekelompok oknum dan dis integrasi bangsa. Oleh karena proses integrasi nilai-nilai di dalam konsep Islam wasathiyyah dan nasionalisme dengan pendidikan karakter di madrasah sangatlah diperlukan. Proses tersebut bisa dilakukan dari tiga sisi yaitu: melalui pembelajaran di kelas, budaya madrasah, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Begitu pula yang telah dilakukan di MIN 15 Magetan. Proses integrasinya dilakukan dengan tiga kegiatan tersebut.
