The type of this research is research and development using the ADDIE Instructional Model which consists of the design phase, doing product design, validation sheets and limited test responses. Development, conducting product development and testing product validity from material experts, media experts and biology teachers. Implementation, conducted a limited trial of phase I on 10 students and phase II on 31 students of class XI MIPA. Evaluation, Conducting an evaluation of each stage carried out. The results of the analysis phase of the curriculum used in the learning process in schools is the 2013 curriculum. The basic competencies that are appropriate in the development of this Electronic Encyclopedia are KD (3.7) Plantae. The results of the analysis of the characteristics of students are known, students prefer to learn by discussion, students prefer to learn in an environment outside the classroom and are more interested in learning with books that have lots of pictures, so that the Flipbook Maker-based Encyclopedia of Spermatophyta learning resources was developed. Based on the results of the validity test and limited trial, the overall value of the category is very good so that it produces a quality Flipbook Maker-based Electronic Encyclopedia of Spermatophyta, which can be used as a learning resource.

This research was conducted to increase students’active involvement in their speaking ability by using the Think-Pair-Share Technique. The researcher wanted to find out whether or not Think-Pair-Share Technique can increase the students speaking skill and to analyze the classroom situation when the Think-Pair-Share Technique is implemented in speaking class. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) and composed for two or more cycles then it observed and evaluated to identify all facts including the success and the failure of the action. It means that the action should be stopped or continued and revised to the next cycle based on the selected criteria of success. After the implementation of Think-Pair-Share Technique in every cycle, the students’ speaking score were getting better. It can be seen from the result of students averagescore Cycle 1 was 65.17 and Cycle 2 was 74.81. It can be concluded that Think-Pair-Share Technique canincrease students’active involvement in their speaking ability.

This study aims to identify and explore metacognitive strategies that can be integrated into electronic modules to improve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The initial research was conducted on 49 respondents from students majoring in Biology Education. The data collection instrument used a metacognitive test with 5 indicators: 1) Design what 2) elaboration; 3) Identify 4) Implement 5) Troubleshooting. The results of the metacognitive ability test show that in indicators 1 and 5 there are 53.06% and 40.81% who have metacognitive abilities. The results of the needs analysis are used as the basis for developing electronic modules by integrating metacognitive strategies in the form of analogies, mnemonics, and discrepant events. This research is Research and Development (R&D), this research develops a metacognitive-based e-module that refers to the ADDIE model, in this paper the data obtained from research up to the development stage. The results of the validity test by the validator showed that the metacognitive-based e-module obtained a score of 3.8 with a very valid category. The resulting e-module has the potential to improve students' higher-order thinking skills.

This research was motivated by the lack of learning media that facilitates understanding of students' concepts on optical material. The existing learning media generally integrate the visualization of image formation on mirrors and lenses. Not yet equipped with practice questions and evaluation questions in accordance with the concept understanding indicators. Then the percentage of student learning outcomes that are below the KKM and student learning motivation is low. The purpose of this study is to improve the understanding of students' concepts by using Lectora learning media. The design used in this study was a randomized control group pretest-posttest and the research subjects were students of class XI SMA N 5 Tapung. The control class applied conventional learning and the experimental class applied the use of learning media. The application of Lectora Inspire interactive learning media affects students' conceptual understanding in the experimental class with an average increase of 0.58, and the control class with an average increase of 0.54. The results showed that there were significant differences in conceptual understanding between the experimental group and the control group.
