Abstract

Anxiety is a feeling of discomfort, tension, or worry that arises without a clear cause. This study aims to determine the influence of anxiety on the learning outcomes of 5th-grade students at SDN 62 Rontu in Bima City. The research method used is qualitative, employing interviews, observations, and documentation techniques. The subjects of the study are students who exhibit signs of anxiety while learning. The results show that students experience physical symptoms such as palpitations, sweating, and general discomfort, as well as psychological symptoms like difficulty concentrating and being easily forgetful. Students also demonstrate negative attitudes, such as low self-confidence and increased anxiety. This anxiety leads to decreased participation and academic achievement. Factors causing anxiety include pressure from teachers, assignments, exams, and a lack of support from family and peers. In conclusion, anxiety has a negative effect on learning outcomes. Therefore, the roles of teachers and parents are essential in creating a supportive and comfortable learning environment.

Abstract

Teacher work motivation is a crucial determinant of educational quality, as motivated teachers are more likely to demonstrate creativity, commitment, and consistent performance in the classroom. In many under-resourced private junior high schools, including those in Lasem District, Indonesia, motivation remains a challenge due to limited professional development opportunities and inconsistent supervisory practices. This study aims to examine the influence of the coaching method on teachers’ work motivation in private junior high schools in Lasem District. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, the study involved 62 teachers selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through simple linear regression. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between the coaching method and teachers’ work motivation, with coaching contributing meaningfully to variations in motivation. Teachers who experienced reflective and collaborative coaching reported greater confidence, professional commitment, and enthusiasm in their teaching roles. It is concluded that structured coaching is an effective strategy for enhancing teacher motivation, aligning with Self-Determination Theory and Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory, and holds potential as a strategic intervention to improve teacher performance and educational quality in resource-limited contexts.

Abstract

Physical bullying is a type of violence that involves direct physical contact, such as kicking, pulling hair, pinching, or hitting, which can result in physical injuries and long-term psychological effects on victims. This study aims to develop an interactive learning medium in the form of an anti-bullying video titled Stop bullying to improve students’ understanding of physical bullying at SDN 62 Rontu, Bima City. The development process followed the ADDIE model, which includes five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research involved 30 students from Grades I to VI. Instruments used in the study included validation questionnaires from subject matter and media experts, response questionnaires for students and teachers, observation sheets, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The validation results showed high validity, with scores of 93.3% from content experts and 90% from media experts. The practicality assessment resulted in scores of 88.13% from students and 88.3% from teachers. The N-Gain test indicated a 0.71 increase in understanding, categorized as high. These findings suggest that the interactive video is an effective and appropriate educational tool for addressing physical bullying in elementary schools.

Abstract

Quality education in elementary schools is closely tied to teachers’ pedagogical competence, which strongly influences student learning outcomes. In Indonesia, the improvement of this competence is mandated by Law No. 14/2005 on Teachers and Lecturers. As instructional leaders, school principals hold a strategic role in fostering teacher development through effective academic supervision. This study aims to examine the principal’s role at state elementary school 1 Pamotan, Rembang Regency, in enhancing teachers’ pedagogical competence. A qualitative case study design was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis was used to explore supervisory practices and their impact on teacher performance. The findings indicate that the principal applied a structured and collaborative supervision process, comprising planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation. However, limited integration of educational technology and innovative teaching strategies was observed, reducing the overall effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. The study concludes that systematic supervision, supported by technology integration, innovation, continuous professional development, and structured feedback, is essential for strengthening teachers’ pedagogical competence and improving instructional quality.

Abstract

This research aims to create and implement learning tools in the form of digital-based interactive games to improve the speaking skills of fourth grade students of SDN 2 Suntu, Bima City, with a special focus on conjunction sentence material. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE approach, which consists of five stages namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validation results show that this media is declared very feasible by material experts with a percentage of 83% and by media experts with a percentage of 90%. The practicality test showed results reaching 88.7% (for small groups) and 90% (for large groups), which indicated that this media was easy to use and interesting for students. The effectiveness test through N-Gain analysis resulted in a value of 0.79 which is included in the high category, which means there is a significant increase in students' speaking ability after using this media. Therefore, the Interactive game media is declared feasible, practical, and effective as one of the alternatives to digital-based interactive game learning to improve students' speaking ability at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement instructional materials in the form of a Problem Based Learning (PBL) based electronic Student Worksheet (e LKPD) to enhance learning interest among third grade students at SDN 1 Maria. The focus of the research is mathematics, specifically whole numbers up to 1.000. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, comprising five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation results revealed that the media received an average score of 78.6 % in the first phase and 94.6 % in the second phase. Material experts yielded an average validation score of 83.6 % in the first phase and 92.7 % in the second phase-indicating that the e LKPD is highly suitable for instructional use. During the implementation phase, teacher responses averaged 94.4 % and student responses averaged 94.7 %, demonstrating that the e LKPD is very practical to apply. The effectiveness of the e LKPD was assessed through an N Gain test, comparing pre test and post test scores. The average N Gain score was 0.84, categorized as High. In conclusion, the PBL based e LKPD is considered highly feasible, practical, and effective as a teaching medium to enhance students’ learning interest.

Abstract

The growing popularity of TikTok among elementary school students has raised questions about its potential impact on how students communicate, especially within learning environments. This study aims to examine whether the use of the TikTok social media platform affects the interpersonal communication styles of fifth-grade students at SDN 62 Rontu. A quantitative research approach was used with a survey method. Data were collected from 19 students using a questionnaire that was validated by an expert in elementary education. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test showed that the data were normally distributed (sig. = 0.200), and Levene’s test confirmed the homogeneity of variance (sig. = 0.063). The result of the t-test indicated a significance value greater than 0.05, which means there was no significant influence of TikTok usage on students’ communication styles. Although students were fairly active on TikTok and followed various communication trends from the platform, these habits did not directly shape the way they communicated in daily learning contexts. The findings suggest that communication behaviors are more strongly influenced by family interaction, peer relationships, and school culture rather than social media use.

Abstract

Online gaming addiction has a negative impact on students' social, cognitive, and behavioral aspects. This study aims to determine the implementation of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) counseling in treating online gaming addiction among 10th grade students at MAN 1 Musi Banyuasin. The method used was qualitative with techniques of interviews, observation, and documentation of the guidance counselor, principal, students, and homeroom teachers. The CBT counseling program was carried out in five stages: identification, diagnosis, prognosis, therapy, and evaluation. Each stage was conducted in five weekly sessions for one to three months. The strategies applied included cognitive restructuring, reinforcement of positive behavior, and increased social awareness. The results of the study showed that CBT was effective in reducing online game addiction. The changes experienced by students included a decrease in playing time, a reduction in obsessive thoughts about games, the disappearance of anxiety when prohibited from playing, increased awareness of the importance of prioritizing activities, and the ability to recognize and avoid negative behavior. CBT counseling has proven to be an effective and systematic approach to treating online gaming addiction in educational settings. Madrasah support, parental involvement, and student commitment are important factors in the success of this program.

Abstract

Data-Based Planning is a national education policy designed to improve school quality through evidence-based decision-making, yet its optimal implementation remains a challenge in many schools due to limited data literacy among principals. This study examines the implementation of PBD at SD Negeri 2 Pamotan, Rembang Regency, focusing on the principal’s role, challenges faced, and strategies to optimize the process. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving school leaders and teachers. Findings reveal that the principal carried out all stages of the PBD cycle identifying challenges using the Education Report Card, reflecting on performance, and revising programs based on data while fostering collaborative planning, empowering teachers, and supervising program execution in line with school needs. Despite constraints in data management skills and human resources, the school effectively integrated data into decision-making, achieving notable improvements in literacy, instructional quality, and student character development. The study concludes that successful PBD implementation requires both reliable data access and the principal’s leadership capacity to guide data-informed planning and drive continuous improvement.

Abstract

Improving learning quality in secondary education requires the integration of multiple factors, including school leadership, teacher competence, and organizational culture. In non-urban areas such as Rembang District, public junior high schools often face challenges in maximizing these aspects to achieve effective teaching and learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the influence of principal instructional leadership, teachers’ pedagogical competence, and school quality culture on learning quality in public junior high schools in Rembang District. Using a quantitative survey approach, data were collected from 145 teachers through a validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaire, and analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression techniques. The results indicate that all three variables have a positive and significant effect on learning quality, both individually and collectively, with school quality culture being the most dominant factor. Together, the variables explain 94.4% of the variance in learning quality. These findings underscore the importance of synergy among leadership, competence, and culture in improving learning outcomes and provide strategic insights for school-based policy development.
