Lamahu: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Terintegrasi (Lamahu, P-ISSN: 2828-6839, E-ISSN: 2828-6677) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Department of Earth Science and Technology, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Lamahu provides open access to the principle that research published in this journal is freely available to the public to support the exchange of knowledge globally. Lamahu published two-issue articles per year namely February and August. Lamahu provides a place for academics, researchers, and practitioners to publish scientific articles. Each text sent to Lamahu editor is reviewed by peer review. Starting from Vol. 1 No. 1 (February 2022), all manuscripts sent to the Lamahu editor are accepted in Bahasa Indonesia or English. Abstract

The purpose of the socialization activity on the dangers of drug abuse in Junior High School (SMP) Negeri 4 Kwandang, North Gorontalo Regency is so that participants can understand the impact of drug use, both physical, psychological and socio-economic impacts. Socialization activities use participatory methods, lectures and discussions. The socialization activity was carried out on October 12, 2021 with the number of participants who took part in the socialization activity consisting of 25 students and 10 teachers located in the hall of SMP Negeri 4 Kwandang. For this reason, through socialization activities on the dangers of drug abuse, it is able to increase the understanding of students of SMP Negeri 4 Kwandang about the types of narcotics, the impact of drug abuse from the physical, psychological, educational, social and economic aspects as well as ways to prevent and overcome drug abuse among children and teenager. For this reason, this socialization activity can fortify the younger generation as the nation's next generation, especially students at SMP Negeri 4 Kwandang, North Gorontalo Regency from the dangers of drug abuse.

Abstract

Community empowerment activities are a conscious and planned effort carried out by the community that aims to empower people, from those who cannot become capable by utilizing the potential in the community. This community empowerment activity in the economic field is carried out because it is based on problem identification, namely the community's low income caused by the covid19 pandemic. The community still does not have enough knowledge or skills to help economic improvement or increase family income through UMKM. This article aims to describe community empowerment efforts in the economic sector through Ladu Arai Pinang UMKM in Lubuk Buaya, Padang City. Based on the results of family economic empowerment through UMKM Pastries or Ladu Arai Pinang Cakes, it can be concluded that from the overall results of the empowerment process, it can be said that Ladu Arai Pinang UMKM in empowering the community's economy, especially mothers are pretty capable of empowering their economy

Abstract

The importance of maintaining the environment so that the earth remains sustainable, efforts need to be made to develop character education "Love the Environment" for elementary school residents and train students to form individuals who care about the surrounding natural environment through greening programs. This program is carried out in the neighborhood around MI Al-Mumtaz Pathuk, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. It consists of several stages, namely character education counseling, gardenization programs, and reading garden spots. The series of program implementations were carried out well for six months from October 2020 to March 2021. The result of this activity is to educate the importance of preserving the environment, increase awareness of the importance of protecting the environment, form a positive character "Love the Environment" in students and school residents.

Abstract

The importance of maintaining the fitness and health of elementary school age students as well as the cleanliness of the school environment has become a habit and a healthy and clean lifestyle. For this reason, healthy gymnastics activities and cleaning the school environment are carried out in order to provide education on healthy and clean lifestyles to students at SDN 6 Kwandang, North Gorontalo Regency. The method used in this activity is a participatory method and the participants who take part in the education activities for a healthy and clean lifestyle are all students of SDN 6 Kwandang and several communities around the school. The activity was carried out 2 (two) times during October 2021. The result of the education activity on a healthy and clean lifestyle is that the activity runs smoothly without significant obstacles. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants and the community around the school who participated in healthy gymnastics and cleaning the environment around the school. Healthy gymnastics activities and cleaning the environment around the school have a positive impact, especially in terms of education, increasing awareness of maintaining physical fitness and cleaning the environment around the school for students and the surrounding community.

Abstract

This socialization basically aims to provide information and knowledge to the community, especially teenagers in an effort to face the development of a free era. The implementation of the work program is divided into two, namely conducting socialization about the impact of drug abuse in legal aspects and competitions regarding the inculcation of Pancasila values. Also make pamphlets about the impact of drug abuse. By making pamphlets about the impact of drug abuse given to the community to be read repeatedly. This socialization is expected to be useful for preventing drug abuse itself, as well as improving the quality of human resources.

Abstract

Character education is an effort to prevent the growth of bad characters for the younger generation, especially through the introduction of local wisdom cultural values. Character values that must be instilled in students in the current era of very rapid technological development is by providing character education which includes knowledge, awareness and action to be implemented in everyday life. The purpose of this community service is to provide strengthening character education through local wisdom of SDN 03 Kabila Bone students in Molotabu Village, Gorontalo. The target of this activity is elementary school students. The method used in this community service activity is student participation. Involve students directly with assistance during activities. The results of the evaluation showed that all educators followed the character education strengthening material with the results that 89% of participants were in the good category and 11% in the sufficient category. Thus strengthening character education through local wisdom can be said to be good by providing socialization and concrete actions that will be remembered by students in preserving and caring for the environment. This activity is expected to have a positive impact as an educational effort for students at SDN 03 Kabila Bone, Molotabu village, Gorontalo.

Abstract

Community service for Gerai Kopimi UKM in the Kelurahan Mlatiharjo Semarang focuses on providing counseling on entrepreneurship, financial management, and simple bookkeeping to increase knowledge, creativity, and innovation so they can produce unique products, increase profits and maintain business continuity. According to the problems faced by partners, namely 1) The lack of knowledge about entrepreneurship properly. 2) The problem of weak human resources regarding financial knowledge, especially related to financial management. 3) weak business management, especially the rules for recording/bookkeeping. 4) The lack of business actors accessing government policies in small business development programs. Methods of this activity include discussions, training, business management support, and simple financial bookkeeping. The results of Community Service activities show that Gerai Kopimi UKM Partners are able to absorb knowledge related to entrepreneurship that is provided properly, understand financial business records, separate personal finances, and finances, and make good decisions for the sustainability of implementation.

Abstract

Natural science is a subject that in the study requires a laboratory as a means of learning. The facts obtained are that there are still students who do not understand that the implementation of laboratory practicum can not only perform indoors (closed laboratory) but in an environment known as a natural laboratory. The method of community service activities carried out is socialization. Learning by utilizing the environment is very important to perform because the surrounding provides various things that students can study and can increase real student experience because it is very thick with everyday life. The evaluation result of understanding regarding the use of the environment as a natural laboratory showed that 83% (15 students) were in the excellent category, 11% (2 students) were in enough category and 6% (1 student) were in the poor category. These results indicate that most students have good knowledge about the advantage of the environment as a natural laboratory in learning.

Abstract

Poverty is a problem that continues to hit an area that is always sustainable. It seems that the various policies and programs that have been launched by the Central Government have not been sufficiently optimal and have no significance in creating the welfare of its citizens. Therefore, under these conditions, poverty becomes a very complex problem. It is on the basis of this complexity that the government cannot complete the work itself, so cooperation and collaboration between various parties becomes important. Simpar Village, Bandar Subdistrict, Batang Regency is one of the villages based on data from the Batang Regency Government Planning, Research and Development Agency as a village with poor status. Therefore, seeing this situation, the researchers carried out community service by counseling about poverty alleviation strategies with the modality of community strength itself. Through this counseling, the people of Simpar Village will be increasingly aware of how strong the power of local communities can reduce poverty levels in an area. This service method uses a participatory counseling approach that invites related village officials, community leaders, Village Community Institutions, and also members of the village community. The technique is through opening, filling in the material, forming a Forum Group Discussion, and asking questions in accordance with the presentation of the material. The results showed that the people of Simpar Village had a participative attitude in counseling activities, where discussions and questions and answers went well. It is hoped that with this counseling all components of the Simpar Village community will understand and apply how to overcome poverty they face with the strength of the community itself based on this understanding.

Abstract

The reality of climate change has an impact on people's lives. People need to pay attention to climate change that is happening. Climate change that occurs needs to be anticipated early on. With climate change, people need to increase their sensitivity to disaster threats. Bilato Village is located in a coastal area vulnerable to climate change's effects. The Bilato village community impacts the livelihood system due to climate change. The aim of holding the outreach is so that the Bilato village community adapts to climate change's impacts by utilizing existing natural resources besides fishing and salt. The subject of community service is the villagers of Bilato. The community service method is carried out in three ways: observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The three findings of community service include a) how to reduce the impact of climate change, b) the village government's efforts to deal with climate change, and c) the fate of fishermen affected by climate change. Based on the results, it can be concluded that climate vulnerability and adaptive capacity with the climatepreneurship strategy of socialization participants understand climate change.
