Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of using the Problem Posing Learning Model, Pre SolutionPosing Type, on General Journal Learning Outcomes. This research uses a quantitative type of research. The population in this study were all class XI IPS students at SMA NEGERI 1 BADAR. The sample for this research was Xl IPS 2, totaling 30 students. This research instrument uses test questions which are used as data collection to see the results of students' general journal learning using the Problem Posing learning model, Pre Solution Posing Type. The research results showed that the tcount value was 3.1, while the ttable value at the significant level was 1.70. Therefore tcount > ttable or 3.1 > 1.701. Thus, the observation hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Conclusion: There is an influence of the learning model on general journal learning outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kendala-kendala yang telah diidentifikasi terkait pemahaman konsep dasar perkalian pada siswa kelas III SD Negeri 106448 Bagan Serdang. Penelitian menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) mengacu pada model yang dikembangkan oleh Stephen Kemmis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intervensi langsung di dalam kelas dalam bentuk PTK memberikan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep perkalian. Nilai pre-test pada siklus 1 (69.33) meningkat menjadi 83.33 pada siklus 2, menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 20.19% dalam pemahaman awal siswa sebelum pembelajaran dimulai di siklus kedua. Demikian juga, nilai post-test meningkat dari 54.66 pada siklus 1 menjadi 90.66 pada siklus 2, menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 65.86% setelah perbaikan metode pembelajaran dilakukan. Pendekatan yang mendasarkan pada teori Jerome Bruner, yang meliputi tahap konkret, ikonik, hingga simbolik, terbukti sangat efektif dalam membantu siswa membangun pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap konsep perkalian. Siswa berhasil mengaitkan konsep matematis dengan situasi dunia nyata, didukung oleh desain pembelajaran kontekstual dengan penggunaan cerita, alat peraga, dan situasi sehari-hari. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan minat belajar siswa tetapi juga memperkuat keterampilan pemecahan masalah matematis mereka.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of storytelling techniques in improving students' selfassurance and literacy in speaking English at SMP Swasta Triana. The research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, involving 33 eighth-grade students. The study utilized a mixed-method approach, collecting both qualitative and quantitative data through interviews, questionnaires, and pre- and post-tests. Results demonstrate a significant improvement in students' speaking proficiency and confidence levels. Speaking skills increased from 51% in the pre-test to 72% in the first post-test, and 100% in the second post-test. Qualitative data revealed that storytelling created an engaging and comfortable learning environment, enhancing students' understanding and problem-solving skills. The storytelling technique effectively boosted students' confidence in public speaking and English language use. It also encouraged increased reading and improved English presentation skills among all participants. These findings suggest that storytelling is an effective method for enhancing English speaking skills, self-assurance, and literacy among junior high school students. This research contributes to the field of English language teaching by providing empirical evidence on the efficacy of storytelling in improving speaking skills. The study recommends that educators incorporate diverse speaking activities and creative teaching strategies, such as storytelling, to facilitate engaging and effective language learning experiences.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of podcasting technology media on students’ listening skill in madrasah al-washliyah swasta gedung johor. This study used quantitative research method. The researcher selected 86 students in Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor in the school year 2024/2025 from the total number, 43 students from X B and 43 students from class X C to become a sample in this research. This research employed a test (pre-test and post-test) as an instrument and also observation and documentation as a compliment. A listening test used as the research instrument. To analyzed data, the researcher used SPSS. there is significant affect of using podcast technology media for students, especially in English listening skill. students who taught by using podcast technology media got higher score than students who taught without using podcast technology media. It can be seen the mean score of experimental class was 87 while the mean score of control group was 76. podcasts have a greater impact on students listening skill than traditional classroom settings. Additionally, it was shown that teaching listening through podcast media may be enhanced because learning Englis hmade the students more engaging, joyful, and enjoyable. In conclusion, podcasts can have a major impact on kids' listening comprehension at the tenth grade level.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to find out the significance effect of YouTube video in teaching writing ability of procedural text at MTS Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah Gedung Johor. The research design used in this study is an experimental design with a quantitative approach. The subject of the research was eighth grade of MTS Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah Gedung Johor which consisted of 50 students, there are class VIII-B as the experimental group and VIII-C as the control group. This research employed a test (pre-test and post-test) as an instrument and also observation and documentation as a compliment. They were organization ideas, developed ideas, grammar, vocabulary, and mechanics. After analyzing the texts written by the student, the researcher categorizes them into six categories, namely excellent, very good good, fair, enough, and need guidance. To analyzed data, the researcher used statistically and SPSS. The Mean Score and Improvement of The Students’ Writing Ability with YouTube Video 87.50% and without YouTube Video 68.75%. Students who taught by using YouTube video got higher score than students who taught without using YouTube Video. The results of calculations using the t test show that the t-test results from SPSS reveal a sig (2-tailed) of (0.01 < 0,05). There was significant effect of using YouTube Video for students, especially in english writing skills. The result of data analysis showed that by using YouTube video as media improved the students‘ ability in writing skill, stimulated the students to be more active, got interest, and motivation in joining the class.

Abstract

A lot of students had problem to arrange English sentence into grammar espesially in Simple Present Tense and Simple Past Tense, so they lost their consentrate in learninng English because there are forms that occur when composing sentences in tenses or other rules, including the form of time rules and the verbs used. This research aims to convey students' achievement to take advantages of QuillBot application, especially on grammar mastery and with the existance of QuillBot application students could manage the time to translate and fix their lack on grammar. The researcher had taken two clases randomly class XI MPLB 1 and XI MPLB 3 which consists of 40 students each class. The researcher uses a test as an instrument. The test instrument included a pre-test and a post-test. The design of this research was quantitative research with experimental research methods. Result of sample could be calculated as like t0 was 6,24 and the degree of freedom was 78. In addition, the value of Ttable in significance level was 1,699. Researcher concluded that T-test was bigger than T-table (6,24>1,699) and Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected because in this progressed one of classes was given the treatment to observe what a significantly affects of QuillBot application for that class.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi strategi budaya sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di MAN 2 Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai budaya sekolah seperti disiplin, integritas, dan kerja sama telah berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan prestasi akademik dan non-akademik siswa. Implementasi nilai-nilai religius dilakukan melalui kegiatan seperti shalat berjamaah dan membaca Al-Qur'an. Disiplin siswa ditingkatkan melalui penerapan aturan dan sanksi yang tegas namun adil. Kerja sama antara siswa, guru, dan orang tua diperkuat melalui kegiatan seperti kerja bakti dan lomba-lomba antar kelas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi budaya sekolah di MAN 2 Kota Bandung telah berhasil menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dan mendukung pencapaian prestasi siswa. Nilai-nilai budaya sekolah yang diterapkan secara konsisten telah membentuk karakter siswa yang baik dan meningkatkan prestasi akademik serta non-akademik mereka. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi sekolah lain dalam menerapkan strategi budaya sekolah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Probing-Prompting learning model in enhancing the students’ ability in writing English speech text at Politeknik Unggul LP3M in academic year 2023/2024. This study used an experimental method using cluster random sampling. Class AK-AP2A/23 consisting of 27 students was used as the experimental class, meanwhile class AK-AP2B/23 consisting of 30 students was used as the control class. Based on the research, the test scores for the ability to write speech scripts using the probing-prompting learning method of students in the experimental class showed that the average ability was 83 with the lowest score was 67 and the highest score was 94, having a median value was 82.3 and mode was 83.6. While the ability to write speech text using the expository model in students as the control class was fair. It is indicated by the results of the t-test with a significance level of 0.05, namely t-count 5.00 is greater than t-table 2.026, so H0 is rejected and Hi is accepted.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris berbasis ICT (Information, Communication, And Technology). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Data dari penelitian ini berupa informasi yang didapat melalui peristiwa, informan, dan dokumentasi dengan menggunakan analisis data etnografi yaitu teknik analisis data yang mencakup empat tahapan yaitu analisis domain, analisis taksonomi, analisis komponen, dan analisis tema budaya. Adapun hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tujuh peran guru dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris berbasis ICT SMA Al- Azhar Medan. Peran guru yang ditemukan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang berbasis ICT di SMA AL- Azhar Medan adalah guru berperan sebagai fasilitator, motivator, creator, pembimbing, evaluator, partner belajar dan teladan bagi siswa.

Abstract

Students in Polytechnic Unggul LP3M especially in 3rd Semester has Speaking for general communication as compulsory subject. Even in higher education, there are some lakcness in reality, most of the students face some problems in speaking. The lecturer used Collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) to find out what media is the most suitable for the students so it can be used to improve the students’ speaking ability. The objectives of the study are: 1) finding out whether or not English Movie can improve the students’ speaking skill 2) finding out classroom situation when English Movie implemented in speaking class. To collect data, the researcher used instruments of observations, tests and questionnaires. The finding showed that the use of English Movie was effective in improving the speaking abilities of the student in class. This can be seen from the improvements after each cycle. The average score of pre-test was 65.92. After the implementation of English Movie in every cycle, the students’ speaking score were getting better. It can be seen from the result of students’ average score 73.26 in cycle 1 and 82,2 in cycle 2. The atmosphere of the class was more lively as there are many interesting activities with relax feeling, They enjoy for various types of activities related to English Movie. The student gave attention to the lessons they were very active to conduct the activities and dominated the activities. They were not afraid of making mistakes
