The objective of this research is to find out the effectiveness of using English songs in teaching pronunciation to elementary students with descriptive method. Descriptive method was taken from the description of the situation of the object based on the fact in the field. Meanwhile, the research design which was conducted in this research was classroom action research design by Miles and Hubermann (2010). Based on the research result and discussion, the use of English songs as the media in teaching pronunciation to the students in SD Bintang Pertiwi, the students’ ability in pronouncing English words has improved significantly. Songs were used as media because the lyrics of the song were easy to memorize. Therefore, it is possible for the students to comprehend the words they have listened and pronounced. English songs are effective to use as media in teaching pronunciation to elementary students. There is a significant improvement of students’ ability in pronouncing English words.

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran jarak jauh merupakan proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara daring/ online oleh pihak sekolah- sekolah baik di Indonesia maupun di negara- negara yang masih terkena dampak pandemic Covid-19. Pandemic ini memaksa kalangan dunia pendidikan untuk tidak menyelenggarakan proses belajar tatap muka dikelas-kelas. Hal ini mengakibatkan proses pembelajaran menjadi tidak efektif terlebih lagi masih banyak guru atau tenaga pendidik yang tidak memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mendukung pembelajaran jarak jauh ini. Sedangkan, tersedia begitu banyak aplikasi yang dapat digunakan untuk itu. Diantaranya adalah aplikasi Google Classroom dan Google Meet. Kedua aplikasi ini belum digunakan secara efektif oleh tenaga pendidik dikarenakan keterbatasan pengetahuan dalam penggunaannya yang masih dianggap sulit.Melalui pelatihan yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 Juli 2021 ini di SDIT Alif, para tenaga pendidik diperkenalkan dan dilatih secara detail bagaimana memanfaatkan aplikasi Google Classroom dalam memberikan tugas dan penilaian kepada para siswa dan juga menggunakan Google Meet secara efektif dalam menyampaikan materi ajar. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini, para tenaga pendidik memiliki pengetahuan lebih baik dan lebih detail lagi mengenai penggunaan aplikasi Google Classroom dan Google meet ini sehingga langsung dapat menerapkan penggunaan kedua aplikasi ini dalam proses belajar mengajar jarak jauh dalam masa pandemic Covid- 19 ini.

This research was aimed at finding out the degree of metacognitive strategies applied by English Department students of UNIMED in listening comprehension and the difficulties of application metacognitive strategies by English Department students of UNIMED in listening comprehension. The study was conducted to 28 students in fourth semester of English Department of UNIMED Medan. Since the study was a qualitative research, the data were analyzed qualitatively by means of observation, questionnaire, Think Aloud Protocols (TAP) and interview. The questions in questionnaire and interview were based on Chammot’s and O’Malley’s. As findings, the data analysis shows the degree of application metacognitive strategies. The students’ application is low since they only applied some parts of sub-categories in metacognitive strategies as their habit in doing their listening task. They often lose their concentration while they are listening to the speakers. They cannot write down the sentences that were uttered by the speakers and write down the unuttered ones. They cannot comprehend the listening well and it makes them feel worry, doubt, nervous and others negative feeling. Based on the results, some implications and suggestions for future research are discussed. Keywords: Listening comprehension; Listening strategies; Metacognition; Metacognitive Strategies

The Government of Indonesia implements the Community-Based Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Pamsimas-Program Penyediaan Air Minum dan Sanitasi Berbasis Masyarakat), which is one of the national programs which is structurally organized by the Central Government to Local Governments to increasethe accessibilityof rural residents from scarcity of proper drinking water and proper of sanitation facilities by community based approach. The implementation of clean water service activities also needs to pay attention to management principles, because in running an organization it is very necessary to have management, especially in financial management.Financial Management of KPSPAMS Kubu Water of Ujung Kubu Village using a BOPO ratio (operational costs to operationalincome) is managed in a clean, responsible, transparency and professional system. Laporan keuangan sangatlah penting bagi suatu perusahaan dan adanya kemajuan teknologi mempermudah perusahaan dalam menyusun laporan keuangan. Laporan keuangan memberikan informasi tentang kondisi perusahaan. Laporan keuangan yang disusun adalah laporan neraca, laba rugi, perubahan ekuitas pemilik, dan laporan arus kas. Dalam penyusunan laporan keuangan harus disusun sesuai dengan pedoman yang berlaku yaitu Standar Akuntansi Keuangan Entitas Tanpa Akuntabilitas Publik (SAK ETAP). Hal ini dapat memberikan informasi yang akurat kepada pemilik perusahaan tentang kondisi perusahaan. Perusahaan jasa JW Net belum melakukan penyusunan laporan keuangan sesuai dengan standar akuntansi yang berlaku di Indonesia. Untuk itu, Software Accurate Online dapat membantu perusahaan jasa JW Net dalam melakukan penyusunan laporan keuangan sesuai dengan standar akuntansi yang berlaku umum di Indonesia.

Mastery of English is increasingly required for college graduates because they will face the real world of work which requires them to have various kinds of skills including expertise in English. As education practitioner, lecturer in private tertiary institutions must do some efforts to increase the interest of students in English so that learning English is easier to understand and the knowledge conveyed can be well mastered. One of the efforts is to use the You Tube media, which is capable of displaying interesting and creative English learning materials, which can be learned at any time to improve their ability both in listening, speaking, reading and writing. The role of lecturers with high creativity, and by delivery the materials that easy to understand and fun will certainly improve the results of learning English later. From the results of research on Learning English by Using You Tube in Improving The LP3M Students' Interest, it was found that You Tube was able to make students interested in learning English by 90% while teaching methods from lecturers was able to make students interested in learning English by 80%. The use of You Tube and good teaching methods by lecturers will certainly greatly increase students' interest in learning English and this will have a positive impact on the maximum knowledge that will be acquired by students later.

This research aimed to improve the students’ speaking skill by using the sequence pictures. Classroom action research constituted the method used in this research which was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Sei Kepayang, Asahan. The research data was obtained by conducting the research for the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Sei Kepayang which consists of 25 students. The data was analyzed as quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative result showed that there were 76% students who had better English for speaking after using the sequence pictures as the learning media in learning English. Meanwhile, the students’ motivation and interest for learning English was increasing. It was as the qualitative data. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of sequence pictures as the media learning in English subject was effective to increase the students’ speaking skill for the tenth grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Sei Kepayang, Asahan. It is suggested for the English teacher to use this media to improve the students’ speaking skill for English subject.

The aim of the study was to figure out whether the use of dictogloss has a significant effect on the students’ listening comprehension on the second semester students of Polytechnic Unggul LP3M Medan (AKAP2A/2023). The method of this study was classroom action research which had three cycles whereby there were two meetings for each cycle. Each cycle consisted of four steps: planning, implementing, observation and reflection. The field notes and test constituted the research data. The data were analyzed through assembling the data, coding, comparing, building interpretations, and reporting the outcomes. The research findings showed that Dictogloss could improve: (1) the students’ ability in listening comprehension; (2) the students’ vocabulary; (3) the students’ ability answering Short Conversation questions correctly
