Abstract

The development of the culinary business in DIY had experienced heavy pressure during thepandemic. Along with the recovery of economic activities, culinary businesses are facing changes inconsumer tastes that need to be faced by business actors. Abana Kitchen is one of the businesses thatfaces the challenge of adjusting business processes needed to adjust conditions after the pandemic.Therefore, this devotion is done to help Abana Kitchen to adjust business processes. This service usesa design thinking approach in the preparation of new business processes, which consist of 5 stages,namely: empathize, define, idiate, prototype, test. The result of this devotion is a new business processthat suits the needs of Abana Kitchen, which is business management activity that aligned withproduct standarization that produce high quality products.

Abstract

The coming of the digital era opens up new opportunities for social media as an interactive means ofaccumulating knowledge. Individuals who interact with each other in social media space operate thecapacity of information-seeking and information-sharing. At a certain level, the accumulation ofknowledge formed by the information-seeking and information-sharing activities of social media opensup views for solving practical problems, including one of which is environmental problems. By usingthe global normal argument of green practices and the potential of the millennial generation inIndonesia, the Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) of Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas -Palembang held an activity entitled "Green Communities Development Through 'Green ProductAwareness Program Using Social Media' for Millennials in Lampung". The program employs twostages of green awareness development method, namely: (1) Conceptualization ; and (2) Practicalimplementation. The activity which lasted for two days received a positive response from theparticipants.

Abstract

The activities of the Marriage Preparation Course are under the coordination of the 1st Deanof Palembang Archdiocese. Family Commission Dean 1 Palembang Archdiocese is a partnerin community service activities with a family financial planning training program. The numberof participants in this activity was 35 people, 52% male and 48% female, mostly aged 23-27years (49%), and most of them had incomes ranging from IDR 2,000,000 – IDR 4,000,000(35%). Participants are young couples who plan to have a Catholic wedding. This activity hasthe theme of Financial Planning Training: Family Financial Health. The purpose of thisactivity is so that KPP participants have the skills to prepare balance sheets and cash flowreports for family finances. Through financial management skills, participants are expected tobe able to realize family financial health. During the activity, participants were asked to identifysources of funds and allocation of funds that have been carried out so far and carry outfinancial health checks based on patterns of financial management. The training processcovers several stages namely Awareness, Knowledge, and Simulation Activities. Through thisactivity, participants gain insight into good family financial planning. Participants also knowthe level of health related to the current condition of family financial management.

Abstract

Karangbolo Village, as a center for processed chip products and diversification, has been able to compete and sustain the production of regional superior products. The increased market demand has led to a rise in production. The Covid-19 pandemic situation has posed challenges for chip artisans, particularly in terms of a lack of understanding of digitalization technology for marketing and the discontinuity of financial records, making it difficult to determine turnover accurately. This activity is related to the opportunity to increase income sustainably, but it requires support in both knowledge and skill. Skills education is provided to chip artisans in Karangbolo Village. Training results indicate that artisans can optimize digital marketing and simple financial recording based on Excel. Artisans are capable of updating products through WordPress. Furthermore, they can improve product packaging with various variants and sizes to enhance attractiveness and market value.

Abstract

Accidents can happen anywhere, at home, on the go, at work, and anywhere else. As a result of an accident, the victim may experience minor or serious injuries, fainting, disability for life or even death. For victims who died, of course, they do not need a fast form of help, but for accident victims who are still alive, they need fast and appropriate help so that the victim can avoid the danger of death. The community, especially the health center cadres in the Tanjung Batu Health Center Work Area, want to overcome and increase their knowledge and skills in first aid for accidents. Not yet know how to handle first aid in accidents in the local community. So far this knowledge, understanding, insight, and skills have not been realized due to a lack of understanding of human resources in increasing knowledge and skills in first aid in accidents. Therefore, this service aims to provide education and first aid methods for accidents in the area around the village. The service method carried out includes an explanation of first aid in an accident first. After that, the servant demonstrated first aid movements in front of the cadres. The evaluation obtained was the enthusiasm of the cadres in participating in counseling activities and the practice of first aid movements in accidents. The cadres are able to answer correctly every question given by the servant. In addition, the cadres are able to properly demonstrate how to provide first aid in an accident. This activity is expected to provide a touch of knowledge related to first aid in accidents so that they are able to provide assistance to the community.

Abstract

Adolescence are characterized by the process of exploring for identity. In this process, adolescents are prone to compare themselves with others, which can lead to feelings of dissatisfaction and low self-esteem. This condition is also experienced by adolescent who are members of the Timothy Catholic Youth Community in the Waru, Sidoarjo. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase self-esteem in adolescents, enabling them to know, accept, and respect themselves better. This community service activity is divided into four stages: observation and interviews, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The activities are conducted in the form of psychoeducation, including lectures, sharing sessions, group games, and assignments. The activities was held on November 26, 2023, for two hours. The participants showed enthusiastic responses during the activity, requiring more time than initially planned. Based on the evaluation results, providing psychoeducation about self-esteem to adolescents in the Timothy Catholic Youth Community is considered effective. It helps participants to identify their strengths and weaknesses, share their true selves with others, and provide positive affirmations to themselves.

Abstract

This community service is a continuation of the mentoring activity "SAYUKA TV Podcast Video Production Process". In the context of the modern world, which is increasingly facilitated by the development of digital communication, Catechists as preachers of the Word of God, are not only required to have technical skills in digital media production, but the ability to speak in public with interesting and relevant content for the Catholic Church is also a necessity. This activity was also motivated by the lack of public speaking skills of Catechists when speaking in public. Public speaking can be defined as a communication process carried out by someone in front of a large audience to provide information, influence, or entertainment. The target object of this training is the Catechist Team and Social Communication (Komsos) of Santo Yusup Karangpilang Catholic Church, Diocese of Surabaya. This activity took the theme "Public Speaking Training: Talking Asik Scripture". The purpose of this activity is manifested in five main competencies that must be possessed by the trainees, namely improving communication skills, strengthening self-confidence, increasing attractiveness and influence, overcoming nervousness, and improving interaction with the audience. The training activities are divided into two stages, namely the delivery of conceptual insights (awareness and knowledge), then followed by a speaking practice session (activity). The results of this service activity show that the trainees experienced positive changes in their way of speaking, including more careful word selection and increased confidence when communicating with the audience.

Abstract

The problem of households in Brongkendik village is financial difficulty because they do not have a life goal. Several factors influence this, such as marriage customs, baby birth customs, "tomborgmagh" culture and other needs. "Tomborgmagh" is a culture of putting wealth to help families in preparation for marriage. The aim of this community service activity was to assist in preparing a financial plan based on a priority scale for the purpose of family life and welfare. This activity was carried out in the form of training for mothers of nutmeg production. The participatory action research method was the training method used, starting from the stages of determining life goals, budgeting, to the Tower arrangement game. Colored paper was the material used in the life goal setting stage, pencils and paper for the budgeting stage, and mineral water glasses to be used in the tower game. The results of this training showed that the nutmeg production women can develop a financial plan and they have a commitment to save

Abstract

Digital service products require careful attention to the service delivery process and the establishment of trust value. The Community Service Team of Musi Charitas Catholic University Palembang conducted a workshop titled "Building Trust Value Towards Service Products for Generation Z in Metro - Lampung," involving 50 participants from Generation Z. The outcomes revealed that workshop participants were adept at illustrating trust value through three approaches: understanding the benefits of service products, recognizing the value that attracts purchasing interest, and perceiving the appealing benefits of products. The workshop received positive responses, with participants expressing a high level of understanding of the presented material and motivation to participate. Statistical analysis further confirmed the success of the activity in cultivating trust value perception among the participants.

Abstract

The background of the community service program is to increase awareness of the community, especially the elderly, of the importance of health. Health is important, especially for the elderly who have experienced a decrease in the strength of organ function. Therefore, self-awareness is the key to improving the quality of personal health. Self is basically an individual who is responsible for their own health. Increased awareness is expected to help the community (elderly) to be more sensitive to their own health, and try to anticipate or overcome diseases, such as hypertension, uric acid, cholesterol, and diabetes. The method used in this community service is health counseling with health checks and counseling based on the results of health checks. The results of this community service program, namely the participants (elderly) know the current health condition, and can anticipate the worsening of the disease suffered.
