Abstract

Hemoglobin is the main protein of the human body that serves as a carrier of oxygen to the tissues and transport media of carbon dioxide from the body tissues of the lungs, the oxygen the body needs as a source of energy that will generate power so that humans are able to execute duties or daily occultation. The main source of haemoglobin is iron which is the source of the nutrient intake we consume. Hemoglobin examination is one of the most frequent blood tests performed by each laboratory because hemoglobin examination in the blood has an important role in the diagnosis of a disease. The usefulness of examining hemoglobin levels is to assess the level of anemia, response to anemia therapy, or disease progression associated with anemia and polycythemia. Hematocyte examination is also important for assessing the normal state or not of erythrocytes and blood volume as well as related to hemoglobin in the body. Decreased hematocrit is one indicator of anemia caused by various factors. Blood glucose is the result of carbihydrate decomposition and glycogen changes in the liver. Glucose examination in darh is a screening procedure that shows the inability of the pancreas to produce insulin, the inability of the small intestine to absorb glucose, the inability of cells to use glucose efficiently or the inability of the liver to collect and solve glycogen. Abstract

Jumlah kumulatif AIDS sampai bulan Maret 2017 di Indonesia berjumlah 87.453 orang; di Sumatera Selatan 691 orang, antara lain tersebar di Kota Palembang berjumlah 617 dan Lubuk Linggau 2 orang. Faktor risiko tertinggi kasus terinfeksi HIV bulan Januari-Maret 2017 adalah pengguna jarum suntik (37%) dan kedua adalah heteroseksual (24%). (Ditjen P2P KemenKes RI, 2017). Berdasarkan data tersebut, remaja adalah salah satu kelompok beresiko tinggi tertular dan menularkan HIV/ AIDS melalui penyalanggunaan narkoba melalui jarum suntik dan sek bebas. BPPD Kota Lubuk Linggau tahun 2016 melaporkan data bahwa penduduk usia 15-24 tahun yang memiliki pengetahuan komprehensif tentang HIV dan AIDS pada tahun 2013 : 16,5% dan penggunaan kondom pada hubungan seks berisiko tinggi terakhir tahun 2013 adalah 0,14%. Hal ini merupakan ancaman berkembangnya kasus HIV/ AIDS di Kota Lubuk Linggau. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan perilaku yang baik untuk mencegah penyakit HIV/AIDS melalui Pendidikan kesehatan mengenai sek bebas dan penyalahgunaan NAFZA dengan adalah siswa SMA Xaverius Lubuk Linggau. Kegiatan ini termasuk dalam bidang kesehatan dengan Fokus pada pembangunan manusia, khususnya remaja melalui peningkatan kesehatan remaja. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah,shering dan diskusi. Hasil: setelah dilakukan pengabdian ini, siswa memiliki rata-rata pengetahuan yang lebih baik dari sebelumnya dan memiliki komitmen mencegah sek bebas dan penyalahgunaan NAFZA untuk mencegah penyakit HIV/AIDS. Saran untuk sekolah agar pendidikan kesehtan yang berkelanjutan tetap dilakukan agar dapat meningkatkan pengatahuan dan sikap dalam mencegah berbagai penyakit.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is first, to provide additional knowledge and experience about the mentoring method that can be used for the Children of the Santa Maria Orphanage. The second objective is to provide additional knowledge, skills and insight into the values of goodness to the Children of the Orphanage St. Maria (SanMa). The activities were conducted in the workshop of the UKMC lecturers team for child counselors who were packed in the form of debriefing for the child's companion. Assistance for foster children is packaged in the form of games, the development of mindset through inspiring film / video, as well as facilitation skills for foster children under the age of 5 years through the activities of drawing and coloring together. The division of questionnaires is done at the end of the activity as feedback on activities that have been done. Positive responses of participants to the activities performed were seen from the interviews and filling questionnaires.

Abstract

Adolescence (11-20 years) is a special and important period, because it is the period of maturation of human reproductive organs (Widyastuti, 2009). Adolescence is in a very sensitive situation to the effect of new values, especially for those who have no power of deterrence. The most prominent issues among adolescents related to reproductive health today, such as reproductive health, early marriage, pregnancy out of wedlock and abortion to make adolescence become non-character (Caesarina, 2009). This activity was conducted on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at SMA Sint Carolus Bengkulu. Through this activity, participants are expected to have good knowledge and attitude about reproduction health. The methods used are lectures, interactive discussions and individual consultations. Of the 51 participants who attended the event, it was found that after the activity, the majority of them stated that this activity was interesting, their understanding and attitude about reproductive health was good.

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran, setiap kegiatan yang dilakukan diarahkan untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Salah satu kegiatan dalam pembelajaran adalah tindakan evaluasi. Evaluasi menjadi salah satu hal yang kerap dihubungkan dengan tingkat keberhasilan pembelajar dalam bentuk nilai yang diperolehnya dari pengajar pada masa tertentu, terutama di akhir tahun ajaran (Djiwandono, 2008: 5).

Abstract

The low productivity of women was influenced by the limitance of knowledge (horizon) and skill they had. On the other hand, the economy of family became problem which was heavier by the higher cost of living. Knowing this, we, the lecturers of Business and Accounting Faculty, were interested to share our knowledge to help them to have value added for the economy of their family. The materials given were made according to the needs of a women entrepreneur such as the development of enterpreneur creativity, bases of tax, and socialization of Tax Amnesty. While we also gave them go green skill to manage the waste of plasted (straw) to be artistic products such as flowers, bag, etc. From this training the participant could get horizon, knowledge, and skill to make them as qualified enterpreneur. The materials were given in the form of copy and were delivered in simple and easily understood, while for the skill of making the handicraft of the straw was given and practiced directly by the participants. The interactions as questions and answers in this training would make all the participants really involved and understood.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a degenerative disease that requires a proper and serious handling, as it can lead to chronic illness. Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes, accounting for 85% of diabetics. People with type 2 diabetes often occur from the age of 40. The number of cases of diabetes mellitus in Indonesia, ranked fourth in the world after India, China, and the United States. Although the number of diabetics in South Sumatra is not high enough, but the data from Health Office states, the number of DM patients from year to year tend to fluctuate in 2013 as many as 21,418 people, in 2014 decreased to 7,541 patients, but in 2015, increased again to 14,042 patients . This community service is done in the area of RT 06 RW 02, Suka Jaya Village, Kec. Sukarami, Palembang on January 14 - February 13, 2016. The number of people who come to check there are 41 people. The result of blood glucose examination when the residents of RT. 06 RT. 02 most normal blood sugar levels were 36 people (87.9%), hypoglycemia 3 people (7.3%) and hyperglycemia 1 person (2.4%).

Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid development of technology in the current era requires every society to be able to keep up with changes related to these technological advances. These changes are increasingly felt at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic sweeps across the world. Especially in Indonesia, people have begun to adapt to changes during the pandemic outbreak, both in villages and in cities. All public access can be done using sophisticated communication tools and is always changing according to its development. The purpose of community service activities carried out for young people assisted by YPSK is to help increase income from sales businesses using social media and improve their ability to manage their finances. The young people assisted by LDA YPSK are young people who have an entrepreneurial spirit. They start from elementary, junior high, high school, and adults have been equipped with how to try to be entrepreneurship, especially with the Covid 19 pandemic outbreak not preventing them from continuing to try. The results of community service activities are that the participants can understand and apply their sales by using social media even though they live in the village but it does not make them to fail technology, they become aware of ways to increase sales through promotions on social media and by increasing their income will be able to manage their finances well so that they can predict the continuity of their business.

Abstract

The training is carried out as a community service activity to provide understanding, roles and functions of management and supervisors in making cooperative business operational policies. Some cooperatives still have not held annual member meetings because they do not understand and do not know their duties and responsibilities. The growth of cooperatives in Banyuasin district is quite significant and there needs to be technical assistance for policy making. The training provided is in the form of providing insight and knowledge of cooperatives in accordance with Law no. 25 of 1992. Understanding of strategies related to making a clear work program and preparing financial reports that need to be presented every month as material for management meetings.

Abstract

The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has forced members of the Catholic Women of the Republic of Indonesia (WKRI) Surabaya Branch of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (GYB) to adjust to implementing new habits. However, due to limited knowledge of the ability to understand how to shop online and create interesting online media content as a means of online promotion, the WKRI Branch of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Surabaya is very need help producing content. Departing from this need, the community service team of the Widya Mandala Catholic University Communication Studies Program provided training for the WKRI Branch of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Surabaya. The training method provided is through mentoring the use of online shopping applications and creating interesting content, including making headlines, photos and videos as online promotional materials. With the ability to shop online, you will be able to save time, energy and costs. And the ability to make good headlines, photos and videos can be used as a means of online promotion to increase the business of WKRI members. After the training, mothers are able to use online shopping applications and create interesting promotional content on social media in the form of headlines, photos and videos. The Abdimas team suggested that research based on the results of this abdimas be carried out to examine the level of knowledge, attitudes, and preferences of WKRI members regarding the selection of information and social media choices
