Abstract

This study looks at the research landscape on Electricity Safety Management Systems (SMK2) in Indonesia from 2014 to 2024 using bibliometric analysis. The research is imperative due to SMK2's pivotal function as a national regulatory framework (ESDM Ministerial Regulation No. 10 of 2021) for guaranteeing operational safety in the power sector, highlighting the inadequate comprehension of academic focus and collaboration trends. The clear goals are to chart the amount, collaboration networks, thematic evolution, and global positioning of Indonesian research on SMK2. A bibliometric method was used to look at and show data from Scopus, SINTA, and Google Scholar using VOSviewer. Out of 615 qualifying publications, only 125 (20.3%) come from Indonesia. Co-authorship analysis shows that Chinese researchers make up the majority of five collaborative clusters, while Indonesian researchers are not present in the core network. Co-occurrence analysis finds five main thematic clusters, with SMK2 on the edge and not strongly linked to any of them. The global research trend indicates a transition from traditional safety measures to energy digitalization. The main contribution of the study is a detailed empirical map that shows how Indonesia is not very well connected to the global SMK2 research ecosystem. The practical implication is the clear need for strategic actions to improve collaboration on domestic research, combine SMK2 studies with digital energy themes, and help Indonesian researchers publish more internationally to support evidence-based and sustainable SMK2 implementation.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental period characterized by emotional instability, identity exploration, and increased vulnerability to interpersonal conflict, particularly within school environments where peer interactions are intensive. In Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), which integrate academic and religious education, empirical studies examining students’ conflict management styles and psychological well-being remain limited, underscoring the urgency of context-specific research. This study aimed to identify the dominant conflict management styles and to map the strengths and weaknesses of psychological well-being dimensions among ninth-grade students at MTs An-Nuriyah, as a basis for educational and psychosocial intervention planning. A quantitative descriptive design was employed, involving 60 ninth-grade students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a conflict management style questionnaire based on the Thomas–Kilmann model and a psychological well-being scale adapted from Ryff’s (1989) six-dimensional framework. The results indicated that avoiding (M = 3.85) and collaborating (M = 3.84) were the most dominant conflict management styles, followed by compromising and accommodating, while the competing style demonstrated the lowest mean score. The psychological well-being profile revealed strong dimensions in positive relations with others, personal growth, and environmental mastery, with relatively lower levels of autonomy and self-acceptance. These findings suggest that although students tend to adopt harmonious and cooperative approaches to conflict, they may experience limitations in independent decision-making and self-evaluation. Practically, the results highlight the need for school-based guidance and counseling programs that strengthen autonomy and self-acceptance while fostering assertive and constructive conflict management skills to support optimal psychological development during adolescence.

Abstract

The development of local tourism requires each region to have a strategy capable of building a strong and sustainable destination image and identity. One widely used approach is a regional branding strategy (destination branding), which focuses on fostering positive tourist perceptions of a region. This study aims to map the development of scientific studies related to regional branding strategies and their influence on local tourist visit interest through a systematic literature review approach based on bibliometric analysis. Data were collected using the Publish or Perish application sourced from Google Scholar and Scopus with a publication period of 2020–2025. A total of 993 journal articles that met the criteria were analyzed using VOSviewer software. The analysis techniques used included keyword co-occurrence, co-authorship, citation analysis, and bibliographic coupling. The analysis results indicate the existence of five main research clusters: destination branding, brand image and brand identity, tourist behavior (visit intention), digital tourism marketing, and local tourism development. The research findings also indicate a shift in research trends towards the use of digital media in regional branding strategies and an increased focus on local tourists. Furthermore, brand identity and destination branding have proven to be important factors in shaping tourist visit interest. This research provides theoretical contributions in mapping the direction of regional branding research as well as practical implications for local governments and tourism stakeholders in formulating more effective, innovative, and sustainable branding strategies.

Abstract

One of the causes of death in the world is cancer. This situation is caused by the excessive development of body tissue cells that become tumors. Over the past few years, significant progress has been made in reducing cases and deaths from cervical cancer through prevention and treatment strategies. Macroalgae are marine organisms that can be used as a source of natural medicine to eradicate cancer. Active ingredients such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, triterpenoids, polyphenols and steroids can act as anti-cancer agents. Genes found in macroalgae such as Bcl2 and p53 can influence the cell cycle in cancer growth. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the cytotoxic content as well as to test the phytochemical, anticancer activity and determine its potential as an anti-cancer agent which is widespread in Indonesian waters. The compilation of this bibliographic search used secondary research methods by collecting research topic data from various non-electronic and electronic libraries. The results of the review were obtained from several journals: the mechanism of antineoplastic agents against viruses and the cytotoxic activity of macroalgae against HeLa cells. Large algae have a cytotoxic action that can reject HeLa cells, so they can be used as variations in the production of cervical anticancer drugs. In the Indonesian seas, large algae grow abundantly and are used as medicinal ingredients to reduce the number of deaths from tumors.

Abstract

Drama series as part of popular literary works not only function as a medium of entertainment, but also play an important role in representing the social and cultural realities of society. With the development of digital technology, drama series are now increasingly easily accessible through various streaming platforms, one of which is Netflix. Gadis Kretek, a series adapted from a novel by Ratih Kumala directed by Kamila Andini and Ifa Isfansyah, is a representative example in presenting Javanese traditional culture in a strong and complex way, especially in the socio-historical context of Indonesia in the 1960s. This study aims to analyze the representation of Javanese traditional culture in the Gadis Kretek series using Roland Barthes's semiotic approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with Barthes's two-stage semiotic analysis technique, which includes denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings. Primary data was obtained from several selected scenes in the Gadis Kretek series that contain Javanese cultural symbols, while secondary data was obtained through library research from scientific journals and supporting literature. The analysis process was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that Javanese cultural symbols such as kebaya, Sido Asih batik cloth, jasmine garlands, blangkon, and chignon are not only displayed as visual elements, but also contain ideological meanings that represent the values of harmony, social hierarchy, spirituality, and the construction of gender roles in Javanese culture. Through semiotic reading, these symbols form a cultural myth that subtly reproduces traditional values and patriarchal structures. Thus, Gadis Kretek not only presents visual entertainment, but also becomes a discursive space that reflects and constructs Javanese cultural identity in popular media.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Work–life balance, Mindfulness, and Work engagement on employee performance, as well as the moderating role of gender within these relationships. The research was conducted in the Province of Bali, where service-based industries demand high adaptability and consistent productivity from employees. Using a quantitative design, data were collected from 160 respondents through an online structured questionnaire. The analysis employed Hierarchical Regression Analysis (HRA) with SPSS to test both the direct and moderating effects. The results show that Work–life balance, Mindfulness, and Work engagement each have a significant positive impact on employee Performance, highlighting the importance of psychological readiness and personal well-being in supporting optimal Work outcomes. Gender does not directly affect performance and does not moderate the influence of Work–life balance or Mindfulness. However, Gender significantly moderates the relationship between Work engagement and Performance, indicating that the strength of engagement’s effect varies across gender groups. These findings emphasize the need for organizations to strengthen employee resources, cultivate mindful work practices, and enhance engagement to improve performance in dynamic service environments.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of creativity (X1), innovation (X2), and digital transformation (X3) on technological entrepreneurship performance (Y) among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Sumbawa Regency, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4.0, data were collected from 100 purposively sampled MSME owners/managers using a validated Likert-scale questionnaire. Outer model evaluation confirmed convergent validity (AVE > 0.50; loadings > 0.70), discriminant validity (Fornell-Larcker criteria; HTMT < 0.85), and reliability (Cronbach's α > 0.89; composite reliability > 0.91). Inner model results revealed an R² of 0.426 (adjusted R² = 0.408), indicating substantial explanatory power. Hypothesis testing via bootstrapping (5,000 resamples) supported all paths: creativity (β = 0.292, t = 3.706, p < 0.001), innovation (β = 0.272, t = 3.632, p < 0.001), and digital transformation (β = 0.343, t = 3.840, p < 0.001)—the strongest predictor. Effect sizes were small to medium (f²: 0.118–0.169), with moderate predictive relevance (Q² = 0.230). Findings align with Resource-Based View and Dynamic Capabilities theories, underscoring digital transformation's dominance in bridging geographical constraints and enhancing market expansion, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction in rural contexts. Theoretically, this integrates creativity-innovation-digital triad for technopreneurship; practically, it informs MSME training and policy for Sumbawa's digital ecosystem. Limitations include cross-sectional design; future research should explore longitudinal and moderating effects.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group guidance services using problem-solving techniques in improving self-efficacy in planning further studies among junior high school students with low self-efficacy. The background of this study is based on the low level of self-confidence among students in planning further studies, while previous studies have focused more on improving academic self-efficacy in general and have not specifically examined further study planning through group guidance services using problem-solving techniques. This study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of eight ninth-grade students selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire on self-efficacy in planning further studies, which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and the paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase in students' self-efficacy scores from a pretest average of 72.50 to 101.00 on the posttest (p < 0.001). However, this study has limitations in terms of the relatively small sample size and the use of a research design without a comparison group, so the results need to be interpreted carefully and can be further developed in subsequent studies.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of family conflict in the film Home Sweet Loan using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic approach. Family conflict is understood as an unavoidable social reality, often triggered by unequal role distribution, miscommunication, and economic pressure. The film Home Sweet Loan was chosen as the object of analysis because it portrays the emotional struggles of Kaluna, a young woman who faces various forms of domestic tension, including unequal household responsibilities, financial burdens stemming from her brother’s debt, and limited personal space in her extended family home. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method through close observation of seven selected scenes, which were analyzed using Peirce’s triadic model consisting of representamen, object, and interpretant. The findings reveal that the film represents three categories of family conflict as classified by Joseph A. Devito; role conflict, resource conflict, and communication conflict. Imbalanced expectations, competition over limited family resources, and unilateral decision-making create emotional strain that shapes the narrative trajectory. Visual signs and symbolic elements in the film effectively illustrate Kaluna’s psychological burden and the unequal distribution of familial roles. The study concludes that Home Sweet Loan serves not only as entertainment but also as a form of social reflection, emphasizing the importance of open communication, empathy, and fairness in maintaining harmony within the family.
