Abstract

As educators in the era of globalization in welcoming the millennial era, it is very necessary to update learning methods equipped with learning media that are suitable for learning needs, in this case PAKEM learning uses the "English Children" application as a support in learning such as LCD projectors, English Learning applications, Kamusku, Team Viewer It is hoped that it can arouse students' interest in learning English so that they can improve their ability to describe English texts and increase the value of English in text descriptive material. This research is classified as a Classroom Action Research with planning stages (acting) with observation (observing) and reflection (reflecting) which are combined, in this study 3 cycles. The initial findings 1) Students are hyper active in class, 2) Students tend to think English is difficult and boring, 3) English is not an important subject, 4) English language proficiency is still far from average (far from KKM). In the first cycle of 29 students, none of the students could write descriptive text, after this activity was carried out in 3 cycles, Based on the results of tests and reflections from cycles 1, 2 and 3, Pakem learning using the "English Children" application can arouse student interest in learning so that students are able to describe objects seen in English either orally or in writing.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of themodel discovery learning based on ethnomathematics shape of flatmaterial on the learning outcomes of 4th grade students of SDN Pasucen 02, Pati Regency. The approach used is an experimental research approach with a one group pretest-posttest design. The data analysis used included normality test, comparative test, and completeness test. The results showed that the data were normally distributed. T-test research results obtained t count 18.06> t table 1.69 with a significance level of 0.05, then Ha accepted. This means that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes of students with flat shape material between before and after using the discovery learning -based ethnomathematics. The results showed that the average test of student learning outcomes using the discovery learning -based ethnomathematics was 69.00 better than the average learning outcomes of students before using the discovery learning -based ethnomathematics, namely 40.42. The average value of student learning outcomes using the discovery learning -based ethnomathematics exceeded the KKM 65 with the proportion of students who completed 82.86%. It can be concluded that the discovery learning -based ethnomathematics is effective for learning outcomes of flat shape material for 4th grade students of SDN Pasucen 02.

Abstract

Based on the observations and the interviews with fourth-grade teachers of Muhammadiyah Semoya Elementary School, there were limitations to the HOTS-based module media on the sixth theme of learning 1:Cita-citaku (my future goals); first sub-theme: Aku dan Cita-citaku (me and my future goals). The students found it challenging to understand the material on comparing the cycles of living things. This study aimed to develop and determine the High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) of students in the Natural Science subject (IPA) to compare the cycle of living things for grade IV of elementary school. The type of research used in this study was Research and Development (R&D). The development steps used was Sugiyono's theoretical model (2018: 773). as for the research stages: potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design of validation, design of revision, product manufacturing, and product of revision. Data collection techniques were interviews, observation, and expert assessment questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used were quantitative data and qualitative data. The results showed that media experts' feasibility assessment was 85%, material experts 84%, learning experts73%.In the quantitative assessment, it was in a very feasible category. Following the suggestions and criticisms of media experts, material experts, and learning experts, HOTS-based module media was suitable for learning-medium in fourth-grade elementary school students' teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop the Nobangan learning model on students' activeness values and to find out the validity and practicality of the Nobangan learning model. This type of research is research and development. The research consisted of 3 phases, namely: 1) Initial research phase, 2) Development phase, 3) Validity phase. In this study, there are two types of data, namely quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data are in the form of validation and practicality questionnaires, while qualitative data are in the form of observations and interviews. The results of the validation of this study were that the validation of the syllabus obtained a value of 3,6 with very valid criteria, the validation of the RPP obtained a value of 3,6 with very valid criteria and the validation of the Nobangan learning model guide book obtained a value of  3,7 with very valid criteria. While the practicality level of the Nobangan learning model is the student's response to get a score of 3,44 with very practical criteria, the teacher's response gets a score of 3,67 with the criteria "very practical" and the observer's response to the value of Activeness gets a value of 3,17 with practical criteria. Based on these results it can be concluded that the development of the Nobangan learning model on the activeness value of grade IV elementary school students has met the valid and practical criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of realistic mathematics education models in mathematics learning in addition material in class I B students at SDN Palebon 01 Semarang 2020 increased. The subjects of this study were students of class I B SDN Palebon 01 Semarang, totaling 28 students from 11 female students and 17 male students. This type of classroom action research (CAR) uses data from observation, documentation and tests in a cycle consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of the study can be mathematics learning material addition in the application of realistic mathematics education models can improve student learning outcomes class I B SDN Palebon 01 Semarang. The statement was proven by learning activities that increased the average value of 54 in the first cycle and an average of 82 cycles. The increase in learning activities from the pre-test questions by 71% has not been completed (20 students) and 29% (8 students) in the second cycle increased to 89% by 25 and 11% (3 students) it shows that it has reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). Based on the results of this studysuggestions that can be submitted for teachers to innovate learning with the media and combine realistic mathematics education models to make it more fun and meaningful for students.

Abstract

The aims of the research are to determine the types of errors made by students in solving fraction material story questions and to determine the causes of student errors in solving fraction material story questions based on the Newman procedure. Research subjects were 6 subjects with 2 upper groups, 2 moderate groups, and 2 low groups. The techniques of data collection used interviews, written tests, and documentation. The results showed that the research subjects experienced errors on each item with various types of errors, namely reading errors that did not occur at all with a percentage of 0%, errors in understanding the problem were 9 times with a percentage of 30%, error transformation problems were 7 times with a percentage of 23.34%, errors in processing skills were 10 times with a percentage of 36.66%, and errors in writing the final answer were 4 times with a percentage of 2.64%. Furthermore, there are several causes in errors namely confusion about how to solve the questions, misunderstanding the meaning of the questions, misunderstanding the concept of fractions and not being careful in solving problems.
