Abstract

AbstractLearning in the realm of Unit Level Curriculum requires creativity of teachers in organizing learning activities. One form of creativity of the teacher is to organize learningdiscovery-oriented learning. This research aims to implement the elementary science teachingdevice discovery-oriented learning. Students are expected to bring the skills, learning activities,and create a learning atmosphere that is conducive for learning following the discovery-orientedlearning. This research is a class act consisting of two cycles. learning is done by using thesyllabus, lesson plan, teaching materials, worksheets, and tools discovery learning-orientedevaluation. During the study, carried out observation process skills, learning activities ofstudents and at the end of the study carried out tests to determine student learning outcomes.The results showed that the implementation of elementary science teaching discovery orientedlearning can help teachers to better learning. elementary science teaching discovery-orientedlearning can contribute to the learning outcomes, so that students can reach KKM of 91.2%.Activity of students in the learning quite varied, as appears 9 types of learning activities of students with great learning activity score was 94.85%. Process skills that can be exploredoptimally in elementary science teaching discovery-oriented learning is a skill to collect factsobservations, make a written report, and present the results of observations orally, with a scoreof 90.34% process skills.

Abstract

This study aim to: 1) describe the effect of realistic mathematic approach to problem solvingabilities in word problems in elementery school students, 2) describe the influence of reading skills inproblem solving skills in word problems in elementary school students, and 3) describes the influenceof the interaction realistic mathematics approach and reading skills of problem solving abilities. Thisstudy was a quasy experimental study with a Postest only non-ekuivalen multiple-group design, usingexperimental and control groups. The pupulation in this study were elemenary school students in theDisctrict Kasihan Bantul. Sampling through stratified cluster random sampling based on ranking inthe acquisition of the average value UASBN 2010. The data analysis technique used in this study is astatisctical technique to test a 2 x 3 analysis of variance. The result of this study are: 1) realisticmathematical approach effect on problem solving in word problems in elementary school students, 2)reading skill effect on the problem solving in word problem in elementary school, 3)  realisticmathematical approach and reading skill interaction doesnt effect on problem solving ability

Abstract

The purpose of this study is students can explore the local culture or indigenous wisdom-basedinquiry learning culture through the Regional Cultural Education courses to be included in the syllabusand lesson plans for each subject to elementary school. Syllabus and lesson plans based on the indigenousculture is expected to foster respect and appreciate the diversity of Indonesian culture. The method usedin this research is the development of research berpendekatan Research and Development which refers toThiaragajan (1994) with 4D models that define, design, develop and disseminate. The data required in thisresearch is quantitative data and qualitative data. Analysis of the data in this study is a descriptivequalitative. The results of this study are to the average of 78.7 while 81.0 masksimal value and aminimum value of 76.7 These results prove that proves that the research is successful because of thesuccess criteria of this study was 75. Based on these results it can be concluded that the development ofeducation-based advantage of local culture can be used as learning models Regional Cultural Educationcourses to enhance the achievement of students.

Abstract

In this globalization era that characterized by science and technology and theopening of the free market requires mastery of soft skills’ support. Collaborative skill is oneof the essential soft skills for students so that they can cooperate in a team to achieve goalsand competition. NHT as one part of a clump of cooperative learning is deemed able to leadthe learners to develop the skills of working together. The purpose of this study determinesthe effectiveness of the NHT to develop cooperation skills. This research uses experimentaldesign with the subject is a fourth-grade students in the district Candisari Semarang. Theresults showed that the NHT is more effective than conventional cooperate in developing theskills of students in top schools and regular. The p-value of the learning model factor = 0.00;factor type of school = 0,003; and the interaction between them 0.25 so it concluded that thelearning model and the type of school effect on students’ collaboration skills. Further testresults of t tests showed that one-on-one skills of students in the learning NHT cooperatebetter than conventional.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of cooperative learning Group Investigation (GI) and problem solving (PS) methods, the sex against the critical thinking skills of students on civicslesson. This study used factorial design study. Location of the study conducted in PGSD UPY.Research was held in November. Subjects population in this study was Students PGSD UPY who takethe Civics course of the school year 2014. Subject sample is determined by using purposive sample byselecting three classes that have the same cognitive abilities. In this study, there are two variablesstudied were the independent variables (method of investigation group learning, problem solving andconventional), the dependent variable (critical thinking skills) and (sex). This study uses datacollection techniques such as observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in thisresearch is the technique of quantitative analysis using ANOVA.The results of this research is: (1)there is a difference between the critical thinking skills of students studying the group investigationmethods, problem solving and conventional. (2) there is a difference between the critical thinkingskills of students who have sex men and women. (3) there is no significant interaction between methodof the sex.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability compose paragraphs in subjects Indonesian LanguageSkills Improvement with constructivist approach. Subjects of this study is that a student one semesterstudies at the Open University UPBJJ S1 PGSD Yogyakarta. The study lasted for two cycles of action,which each cycle includes three sub-activities such as planning the action, observation and reflection.While the method of collecting data through observation and documentation. Data were analyzedusing quantitative descriptive analysis performed while gradually drawing conclusions from analysisof student assignments. Menyyimpulkan research results (1) pelaksananaan learning Indonesianlanguage skills improvement, especially compose a paragraph through a constructivist approach canimprove the ability of students compose paragraphs, (2) the results of the evaluation in class E 6100%of the number of students increased learning achievement, especially the ability to composeparagraphs mean average, an increase of 34.1 (initial conditions the average value increased 97.8 62.9(3) results after the conclusion of researchers carried out the action on the class E 6 through aconstructivist approach to learning to write paragraphs, there is a very significant achievementincrease of the average conditions aal until cycle 1 increased to 10.5, while from cycle I to cycle II, theaverage rose to 24.4 from an initial condition ii increased 34.1 on subjects Indonesian SkillsUpgrading using descriptive analysis.

Abstract

This research is aimed to understand the effect of school based management implementation to the development of educational quality at Local Elementary School I ofKadipiro of Yogyakarta. This research is quantitative research. Free variable in the research isschool based management implementation and the bonded variable is the development ofeducational quality. Population in the research are the elementary school teachers of LocalElementary School I of Kadipiro of Yogyakarta. Whereas the samples are obtained based onrandom sampling technique. Method that used in the data obtaining is questionnaire,documentation, interview, and observation, whereas the data analysis uses simple linearregression. The result of the research shows that school based manajemen implementation arepositioned in the good category shown by average observation value as much as 78,94. Whereasthe development of educational also positioned at the good category with average observationvalue as much as 79,94. Whereas  regression analysis result shows that there is positive effectbetween school based manajement implementation to the development of educational qualityshown by calculated t (3,245) is higher than t values (2,10).tabel

Abstract

IPS  subjects who have barned a degree as sub jeetsof memorizationbecomes loss attravtive for most student, especially in the delivery of teachers, always use, convertional ways of teachingthat stin, teachers simply lectureor read a text in accordance with textbooks alone without going to develop white studentsjust as listener only, things like this make the lesson IPSlees wear or car belikened to that of planting concept failed IPS. IPS less materials delivered byteacher with lecture and without the use of metnods or midia draw lessons thatwill he difficull to be accepted by students beginning classes, especiallyconsidering at this age students are not capture the matrial being a good listenerand able to capture the matrial being taught in the abstract using only srtory,beside the use of methods lessons with lectures alone will not be able to homecritical thinking. But if we remember of any ability and agr of the studens wouldstill have the ability or imagination to the teacher. Is able to fishing this student.

Abstract

This research aims to improve learning achievement IPS Method Using Mind Mapping In Grade V SD N Ngraho 4 Kedungtuban Blora, Central Java Year 2014/2015. Thistype of research is classroom action research (PTK) with the research subjects are students ofclass V of 20 students and its object is the implementation of learning to improve learningachievement IPS by applying the method Mind Mapping on the material Proclamation ofIndonesian Independence. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, tests,questionnaires, and documentation. Techniques of data analysis in this research is to calculatethe average and percentage. The study concluded that social studies learning by using MindMapping can improve student achievement than the average achievement grade before theaction of 53.45 with 30.00% completeness increase in cycle 1 with average achievementgrade of 62.06 with thoroughness 60.00% and increased again in the second cycle with anaverage grade of 69.55 accomplishments with the thoroughness of 80.00% in the secondcycle, so that it can be concluded the average learning achievement increased by 17.38%.Feasibility study results of questionnaire responses learn first cycle of 70.87% with highqualifications be 87.08% with a very high qualification in the second cycle so that theresponse of learning has increased by 88.25%.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan sebanyak dua siklu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan merupakan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa pada muatan IPS dan Bahasa Indonesia. Muatan Bahasa Indonesia presentase ketuntasan siswa secara berturut-turu dari pra siklus, siklus I, siklus II yaitu 3%, 30%, dan meningkat menjadi 76%. Sedangkan pada muatan IPS, presentase ketuntasn siswa yaitu 6%, 35%, dan meningkat menjadi 76%. Dengan demikian, penerapan pembelajaran tematik berbasis kearifan lokal dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Wedoro.Abstract:This study aims to improve student learning achievement. This type of research is a Class Action Research conducted by as many as two siklu. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. The results showed that there was an increase in student achievement in social studies and Indonesian content. Indonesian content is the percentage of students completeness successively from pre-cycle, first cycle, second cycle which is 3%, 30%, and increased to 76%. Whereas on social studies content, the percentage of students completeness was 6%, 35%, and increased to 76%. Thus, the application of thematic learning based on local wisdom can improve student achievement in class IV SDN Wedoro.
