Abstract

In the era of digital and globalization, social media platforms have become an important part of daily life throughout society, especially among teenagers. One platform that is growing in popularity is TikTok, a short video sharing application that allows users to create, edit and share their creative content with an audience. However, the rapid growth of TikTok also raises concerns about its impact on teenage ethics. The method used is literature study, a technique carried out by collecting data from various sources, such as books, journals, etc. This research examines the ethics of using social media, especially the TikTok platform, through a literature study. TikTok, as one of the most popular video sharing applications, has a significant impact on user behavior and digital culture. This research identifies various ethical aspects, including privacy, dissemination of correct information, and the influence of content on teenagers. The analysis was carried out by referring to various literature that discusses ethical challenges in social media, such as privacy violations and the negative impact of harmful content. The findings suggest that users and content creators need to increase awareness of their ethical responsibilities to create a safer and more positive digital environment. Recommendations are aimed at developing ethical guidelines that are acceptable to TikTok users and other stakeholders.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' problem-solving abilities and learning independence. Motivated by the low problem-solving skills in mathematics, caused by a lack of varied learning models and student inactivity, the study compares students receiving PBL treatment with those undergoing conventional learning. A quasi-experimental method was used, involving a pretest, posttest, and learning independence questionnaire. The study was conducted in the 2023/2024 academic year with 8th-grade students from SMP PGRI Walantaka. Results show that students in the PBL group had significantly better problem-solving abilities compared to those in the conventional group, with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating the effectiveness of PBL. Additionally, the average learning independence of students was 79%, categorized as good. The findings suggest that PBL can improve both problem-solving abilities and learning independence in mathematics education.

Abstract

Character education is very important to build students' personality, especially in the era of globalization which is full of moral problems. At SMKN 1 Omben Sampang, the Khotmil Quran program aims to internalize Islamic values and build students' religious character. To understand the implementation of the program in a vocational school, this research uses qualitative methodology and case studies. Participatory observation, interviews, and documentation studies are the methods used to collect data. The results show that the program helps foster students' characters, especially in terms of discipline, responsibility, and religious awareness. As a result, there are still some issues that need to be addressed. These include uneven student involvement and the need for more organized program management. This program has the potential to be an effective model of Islamic values-based character education in vocational schools by optimizing the implementation strategy and increasing the involvement of all parties.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between the learning process of tahfidz Al-Qur'an and the improvement of students' moral values at SD IT Tahfidz Al-Makki Pekanbaru. The importance of the influence of religious education on the character and moral formation of students cannot be underestimated. In this research, a qualitative approach focused on case studies is used. This will involve in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and parents, as well as direct observation to obtain accurate and in-depth data. This study shows that the tahfidz learning process has a favorable impact in students' moral growth, which is reflected in the improvement of values such as honesty, discipline, and social care. Through tahfidz learning and the reinforcement of religious values in daily life, the process of students' character building is presented. A more in-depth discussion emphasizes the significance of cooperation between teachers, parents, and the school environment in strengthening moral values. This research shows that the teaching of tahfidz Al-Qur'an has a great influence in shaping the moral character of students at Al-Makki IT Tahfidz Elementary School. It is hoped that this research can be a motivation to design an educational curriculum based on religious values.

Abstract

This study examines the realization of communication in the family, especially in the form of speech between parents and children and vice versa. This study is relevant in the context of the social life of modern society which has changed due to developments in education and social fields.  This knowledge is very important, by knowing the speech and politeness principles in speaking in the family, we will be able to adjust and behave according to the rules and psychological conditions of the interlocutor as a reflection of how to get along in a pragmatic society. This research is conducted as a case study of family speech in which there are values of politeness and manners as guidelines for human interaction. The presentation of this research is focused on the ethics of speech between a mother and a child related to the principle of politeness in the pragmatic branch of language. This study is conducted with descriptive analysis which can then produce the value of speech ethics in the family related to the principle of politeness and can be used as a reference in life.

Abstract

The quality of education in Indonesia remains a strategic issue that requires serious government attention due to its direct impact on the competitiveness of human resources in the global era. The active role of the Ministry of Education and Culture in formulating and implementing strategic policies reflects the government's commitment to addressing the complexity of national education challenges. This study aims to analyze the leadership strategies of the school principal in improving the quality of education at SMP Miftahul Huda Dzun Nurain Planggaran Timur Banyuates. The research focuses on: (1) the form of the principal’s leadership in enhancing education quality, (2) the obstacles encountered in the process, and (3) the strategic efforts undertaken to overcome them. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was employed, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects consisted of the school principal and teachers. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability criteria. The findings indicate that the principal applied a democratic leadership style, provided effective supervision, and showed concern for teachers. The main challenge faced was the lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure. Improvement efforts included teacher competency development, meeting stakeholder needs, and fostering collaborative problem-solving.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji integrasi Kurikulum CINTA dengan strategi pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning) sebagai pendekatan inovatif untuk membentuk kultur belajar yang tidak hanya menyenangkan secara emosional, tetapi juga transformatif secara kognitif dan sosial. Kurikulum CINTA, yang berfokus pada nilai Cerdas, Inklusif, Nilai, Toleran, dan Amanah, memperkuat karakter peserta didik melalui pembelajaran yang humanis dan kontekstual. Sementara itu, deep learning menekankan pada pemahaman konseptual yang mendalam, refleksi personal, dan keterkaitan pembelajaran dengan kehidupan nyata. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kedua pendekatan ini mampu meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan aktif siswa, serta membangun komunitas belajar kolaboratif di madrasah. Namun demikian, implementasinya masih menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan pemahaman guru, belum meratanya pelatihan, dan fasilitas yang belum memadai. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dukungan kebijakan, penguatan kapasitas guru, dan pengembangan komunitas belajar yang berkelanjutan. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode kajian pustaka.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to evaluate the content validity of an Arabic language learning interest questionnaire for fifth-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, as interest is one of the key affective factors influencing student engagement and academic success, particularly in language learning. Methodology – The research employed a content validation design using the Aiken's V technique. The instrument consisted of 25 statement items assessed by three expert validators. Each item was rated using a five-point Likert scale to determine its relevance and clarity. The data were analyzed quantitatively using the Aiken's V formula to determine the degree of content validity. Findings – The analysis revealed that 21 items had moderate content validity (V ranging from 0.50 to 0.83), while 4 items demonstrated high content validity (V > 0.83). These results indicate that the questionnaire possesses acceptable content quality and can be considered a suitable preliminary tool for assessing students’ interest in learning Arabic. Novelty – This study contributes to the limited pool of validated instruments tailored specifically for assessing Arabic learning interest at the elementary Islamic school level in the Indonesian context. Significance – The findings are valuable for curriculum developers, Arabic language educators, and educational researchers seeking to understand better and measure students’ affective engagement. The study also lays the groundwork for further validation efforts involving construct validity and reliability testing.

Abstract

Purpose – Suatu instrument penelitian harus disusun dengan baik dan benar. Instrument kemampuan literasi numerasi tidak hanya dalam bentuk soal tes uraian atau pilihan ganda. Instrument literasi numerasi dapat dibuat dalam bentuk angket kuisioner. Oleh karena itu harus dibuat perancangan instrument literasi numerasi yang kemudian di uji coba awal untuk melihat instrument tersebut layak atau tidak. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang instrument literasi numerasi dalam bentuk angket kuisoner, untuk melihat instrument tersebut layak atau tidak digunakan sebagai dasar penyusunan pengambilan data dalam mengukur literasi numerasi. Methodology – Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kauntitatif deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika tingkat 3 dan 4 dengan total yaitu 26 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan uji coba instrument literasi numerasi yaitu angket kuisioner. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Findings – Hasil uji validitas adalah rhitung > rtabel dengan taraf signifikan sebesar 5% maka dapat diartikan bahwa 20 pernyataan tersebut yaitu valid. Selanjutnya setelah dinyatakan valid, maka harus diuji reliabilitas untuk melihat konsistensi hasil temuan. Hasil uji reliabilitas pada uji coba instrument literasi numerasi dalam bentuk angket kuisioner ini adalah nilai Cronbach Alpha (0,952) > rtabel dengan taraf signifikan sebesar 5% (0,388) maka dapat diartikan reliabel. Dengan demikian, hasil uji coba awal instrument literasi numerasi menunjukkan bahwa dari 20 pernyataan pada angket kuisioner dengan menggunakan skala likert 1-5 dapat digunakan untuk mengukur literasi numerasi. Novelty – Kebaharuan pada penelitian ini instrument dalam bentuk angket kuisioner dapat digunakan untuk melihat kemampuan literasi numerasi Significance – Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan referensi tambahan pada peneliti mauapun masyarakat luas.

Abstract

Purpose - This study is aimed to describe the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Sosrowijayan after participating in mathematics learning using the LOC-R (Literacy, Orientation, Collaboration, Reflection) model. Methodology - The study is employing a quantitative descriptive design with 20 students. The data were collected through questionnaires based on indicators, then analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of average scores, percentages and ability categories. Findings - The result of the study revealed an average critical thinking score of 85,2 (high category), The highest-scoring indicator was connecting concepts (88%), while the lowest was identifying problems (79%). Novelty - This study integrated LOC-R model to mathematics learning in elementary school and assess its impact to eight specific indicator of critical thinking. Significance - The finding of the study provide evidence that implementation of LOC-R model is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking, making it an alternative mathematics teaching strategy for fostering 21st-century competencies.
