Abstract

Tadris al-'Arabiyyah al-Mukatssaf (TAM) is a course given to semester 1 students of Arabic Language Education, Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Kediri. This course aims to prepare new students with standard Arabic language skills so they will be able to learn Arabic language courses in the next semester easily. The development of this textbook is based on contextual teaching and learning (CTL) because CTL is a student-oriented approach which can lead students to become more active and can generate self-directed in learning. The textbook development uses the ADDIE procedure with 5 development steps and ends with an experimental test to reveal the effectiveness. This research produced a textbook Tadris al-'Arabiyyah al-Mukatssaf based on Contextual Teaching and Learning with its seven principles, which are: constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, reflection and authentic assessment. This textbook contains 21 dars (units). Each dars (unit) contains 4 material: 1) ta'bir al-shuurah, 2) hiwar, 3) nash qiraah, and 4) qawaid. In hiwar, nash qiraah and qawaid are equipped with practice questions and a list of mufrodat and Arabic expressions. The results of the effectiveness test with the pre-test and post-test designs revealed that the average post-test score was at 65.33, higher than the pre-test average score at 56.35. Total T count of 9.90 is higher than T table of 1.98 which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. With a Pearson correlation value of 0.64 greater than 0.05, the use of books proved to be effective.

The development of the Arabic language curriculum in Indonesia is increasingly complex. This is based on the increasing need for Arabic language skills in the international world. These basic needs are not only based on the ability to understand and read Islamic sources, but Arabic as an international language of communication is one of the demands of global skills. On that basis, this study aims to explore the design of learning Arabic based on the Merdeka Curriculum at the senior high school level using achievement indicators in the Merdeka Curriculum. The research technique is qualitative approach with data analysis based on content analysis. Data were obtained through literature study from the Merdeka Curriculum and other written sources such as books, articles and curriculum guideline. The results of the study indicate that the learning design based on PjBL (Project Based Learning) can implement the Merdeka Curriculum at the senior high school level. So, the demands of the 6 newest skills such as listening, speaking, viewing (memirsa), reading, writing and presenting can be organized in student projects. The research findings corroborate that the Arabic language learning system uses an Merdeka Curriculum to identify learning outcomes based on cognitive, affective and psychomotor competencies. The implications of this study identify that Arabic language learning needs to be practiced through various intensive assignment projects.

Abstract

The emergence of various kinds of technological tools, digital media, and social media are making learning easier, by using online correction systems both in learning Tahsin al-Kitabah and Khat Araby. Apart from that, there are many applications related to khat learning, such as kitabahku, Mashq, Ana Mukhtariful khat, Kelk, and other applications that not only support students in learning Khat but also support the development of their creativity in creating work. This requires educators to utilize digital media as a medium to support learning. The implementation of Tahsin al-Kitabah learning using the "Abajadun" method and also learning Khat Araby using Manhaj Hamidi have their respective advantages. The Abajadun method emphasizes understanding the keys of mufrodat and murokkab using the keys of alif, ba', jim, and dal. Meanwhile, Manhaj Hamidi uses a tiered system from easy types of khat to difficult types of khat. And one of the advantages is the Khat Diploma as a standardization of the Sanad system. Both methods are innovative learning methods based on digital media because the learning process also uses digital technology as a learning support. The results show an increased effectiveness of khat learning. Even though in practice, there are several problems, efforts to improve and improve the quality of learning must still be made. Meanwhile, the use of digital-based applications such as Kitabahku and also digital-based guidebooks is a learning model that uses a Learning Visualization approach because students are greatly helped in the learning process by understanding the writing of Tahsin al-Kitabah and Khat Araby. Third, using the Mashq, Ana Mukhtarif al-Khat, and Kelk applications, is one of the strategies and approaches using the Active Learning model, where students are also actively involved in learning using these media both for practice and the work process. So, they can master calligraphy from basic to advanced level and be able to work well using manual or digital media.
