Abstract

Linguistically speaking, Istihsan is the masdar version of the word Istahsan - Yastahsin - Istihsana, which denotes thinking about, pondering the existence of, or seeking for something better to follow. The definition of "shara" according to Abdul Wahhab Khallaf, Istihsan, is "Transferring a mujtahid from the law kulli (generic) to the law of exceptions due to the evidence supporting it, or from qiyas prison (clear) to qiyas khafi (vague). The author of this study restricts it to the use of the concept of Istihsan in determining the legal status of halal tourism. In Islamic law, the idea of istihsan is an ijtihad technique that permits a mujtahid, or Islamic jurist, to base the law on morality or fairness. Istihsan can be used to evaluate the moral and just components of tourism-related activities in order to establish the legal status of halal travel. By guaranteeing that tourist operations adhere to sharia principles and must be founded on maslahah mursalah for each user or customer, this notion can serve as the foundation for establishing the legal status of halal tourism. The legal status of halal tourism can thus be ascertained by using the notion of istihsan and the tenets of sharia economic law, taking into account elements of fairness, morality, and compliance with sharia principles.

Abstract

The problems of young people are often associated with the problem of marriage or life partners. Among them, some are motivated to marry young, and some choose to pursue a career, so perhaps this discussion can be related to polygamy. There are many reasons behind these desires, especially with the increasingly developing era often giving rise to new problems that still lack solutions. In Islam, someone who has reached the age of puberty is highly recommended to get married. In Java itself, those who delay their marriage often get a bad social status or even get ostracized, which, in fact, is an encouragement for someone to seriously prepare for marriage. From several studies conducted by Prof. Dr. Quraish Shihab in his Tafsir book, he describes that every problem has a subjective and objective background according to the perspective of the Shari'a. He does not agree with the phenomenon of young marriage if the excuse is only to avoid adultery, arguing that age maturity is a priority consideration in a person's readiness to face household polemics. Likewise, serious career pursuit, which often dissuades someone from following the Prophet's sunnah, will be bad if it invites more dangerous consequences. As for the opinion he expressed regarding polygamy, he followed the opinion of the majority of ulama regarding the permissibility of polygamy and clearly forbade polyandry. The purpose of marriage and its consequences are so complex, so what needs to be paid attention to is education and the maturation of the individual's thinking power to realize the purpose of marriage.

Abstract

Having a child is a gift that a duty of trust must accompany. Many Muslim families do not understand the concept of Islamic education following the Qur'an and Sunnah, so they are unable to educate children into a rabbani generation that is firm in ethics and morality. The purpose of this study is to find out the value of parents' education towards children by referring to the interpretation of Luqman's letter verses 12-19 by making a comparison between Ibn Katsir's tafsir and Fathu al-Qadir's Tafsir of Imam Asy-Syaukani. The methods used in this study are library research and comparative studies to explore the differences and similarities of interpretation of the two. Analysis is done on key aspects such as interpretation methods, historical context, and religious values considered important in understanding the verses. The source directly references the mother books of Ibn Katsir and Fathu al-Qadir and other references from articles and scientific journals related to the speech. The study results indicate that Ibn Katsir emphasized traditional aspects and religious values in the upbringing of children, while the Assy-Syaukani priest tended to incorporate social and humanitarian contexts in his understanding. This comparison provides an in-depth insight into the diversity of Islamic perspectives on parents' responsibilities in educating children and their implications for modern educational practices.

Abstract

This study examines the correlation between Non-Performing Financing (NPF) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) in Indonesian Islamic finance from 2021 to 2023. The study employed Pearson and Spearman correlation tests to examine the correlation between NPF and CAR in Indonesian Islamic finance from 2021 to 2023. The significance was determined by Sig. (2-tailed) values (p < 0.05), accepting H0 and rejecting H1. The Pearson (r) and Spearman (ρ) coefficients indicated a strong negative correlation. The robust methodology reinforces the findings on the intricate dynamics between NPF and CAR in the specified financial data. The findings, obtained through Pearson and Spearman correlation tests, reveal a significant negative correlation (p < 0.05), indicating an inversely proportional relationship. The strong negative correlation suggests that as NPF increases, CAR decreases, and vice versa. The study provides valuable insights into the dynamic interplay between NPF and CAR in Islamic financial data.

Abstract

Purpose: One sector that plays an important role in tax revenue is Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs are increasingly demonstrating their role in the country's economic growth. However, taxes are still seen as a burden to be avoided by MSMEs at all costs. Not all taxpayers are aware of their obligations to pay taxes. This can lead to a mindset and behavior of tax noncompliance, potentially resulting in tax evasion by providing incorrect income reports. This study aims to examine the effects of age, gender, income level, and tax sanctions on tax compliance among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Wonogiri Regency. Methodology: This is a quantitative research. The population of this study consists of MSME operators in Wonogiri Regency who are registered with the Office of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Industry and Trade of Wonogiri Regency. The sampling method used in this study is non-probability sampling, specifically convenience sampling. According to calculations using the Slovin formula, a sample size of 100 was obtained. The data analysis methods used in this study include data quality tests, such as validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, including normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test, and hypothesis testing, including multiple linear regression test, partial test (t-test), model feasibility test (F-test), and coefficient of determination test (R²) using SPSS software. Results: This study reveals that Income Level and Tax Sanction variables have a significant effect on Taxpayer Compliance. Meanwhile, the age and gender variables has no effect on taxpayer compliance. Applications/Originality/Value: This study analyzes the influence of age, gender, income level, and tax sanctions on tax compliance among MSMEs, which can be used by policymakers to develop more effective programs for increasing tax compliance. The results of this study can be applied in formulating tax policies that consider the demographic characteristics of taxpayers. The originality of this research lies in the integration of demographic variables with aspects of tax sanctions, providing new insights into the factors influencing compliance. The value of this study is its contribution to understanding the dynamics of tax compliance in MSMEs, which is essential for increasing national revenue and the sustainability of the MSME sector.
