Abstract

Islamic Education Learning for speech-impaired children is not easy as we think, but it is a regular, continuous and systematic effort, therefore a learning building is needed which is expected to be able to fill the plot so that in this study an overview of the learning process of Islamic Education for speech-impaired children is found at State Elementary School in Sugihwaras Bojonegoro as well as various supporting and inhibiting factors. The results of this study are expected to be used as a concrete model of PAI learning for speech-impaired children. The results of the study show that the learning process for Islamic Religious Education for the speech-impaired at State Elementary School in Sugihwaras Bojonegoro is different from the learning for normal children in general. Learning is done through three stages, namely: planning, implementation, and evaluation. Supporting factors the learning of Islamic Religious Education for the speech impaired are the existence of extracurricular activities, the existence of a library which is of course very useful for increasing the knowledge of mute children, and cooperation between fellow teachers at State Elementary School in Sugihwaras Bojonegoro. While the inhibiting factors are the differences in the characteristics of students, the different intelligence of children, the lack of attention from parents, and the limited facilities and infrastructure. Abstract

This study aimed to explore the process of religious character development in students with special needs and identify the specific religious traits developed at Pondok Pesantren Salafiyyah Nurul ‘Ulum Gresik. This study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The findings showed that religious character formation in students with special needs occurred through three stages: the learning stage, the awareness formation stage, and the habit formation stage. The religious traits developed include worship (demonstrated by their ability to perform obligatory and sunnah prayers), jihad (determination, reflected in their willingness to worship, study, and help others), discipline (seen in their commitment to learning and religious practices), independence (evident in their ability to manage daily tasks without relying on others), and social care (shown through their concern for others and the environment.

Abstract

This article is a conceptual study that aims to determine the condition of education in Indonesia. The analysis used is content analysis by combining various theories studied. Education has an important role in the development of a country, including in Indonesia. This article revisits the portrait of education in Indonesia by identifying the changes and challenges faced. Through an analysis of historical and contextual approaches, this article discusses the efforts that have been made to improve accessibility, quality, and equity in education in the country. In the portrait of education in Indonesia, there are gaps between urban and rural areas, challenges related to the quality of education, curriculum, teaching methods, and gender gap issues. In addition, this article illustrates the development of higher education and the importance of the role of the government, society, and other stakeholders in improving the portrait of education in Indonesia. By looking back at this portrait of education, it is hoped that it can create better and equitable education in Indonesia, contribute to sustainable development and improve the welfare of society as a whole.

Abstract

This journal aimed to investigate strategies for developing religious literacy in Islamic education in the digital era. The digital era presents both challenges and opportunities in the dissemination of information and communication. Islamic education must effectively utilize digital media to enhance religious understanding and knowledge. In this journal, the concept of religious literacy, the role of technology in religious education, and strategies that can be implemented to develop religious literacy in the digital era were discussed. This study was conducted using a qualitative study approach through a literature review, utilizing various sources such as books and academic literature as data sources. These sources were read, recorded, and analyzed, leading to the presentation of several strategies in the conclusion aimed at developing religious literacy in Islamic education in the digital era.

Abstract

This research focuses on developing English vocabulary material by using English Learning Application at 1st-grade MTs. Mambaus Sholihin Gresik. The material of this product was designed according to the needs and characteristics of the students. With this material, students can learn English vocabulary easily because the application is very practical to use for learning. In this research, the researcher used the approach of Research and development, Research and development is a method used to create some product and then try it to the objective of the study about the effectiveness of the product. The data collection techniques which were used in this research were distributing questionnaires to students and interviewing the teacher. The questionnaires were applied in the needs analysis stage. The students’ characteristics and learning resources were observed by doing a need analysis. The application was effective. Students were able to increase their vocabulary and able to reduce their boredom with learning English. They also believed that the product was useful to assist them in learning vocabulary. The role of the application as a medium for learning vocabulary is very influential, this is because before learning we must pay attention to the motivation and interest of students in learning. The application is proven to be able to overcome student motivation and interest. The improvement, revision, addition, and alteration had been done based on the feedback from the expert and the subjects of the product try-out.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the roles and challenges faced by pesantren in responding to global changes. A literature review approach was utilized to gain a comprehensive understanding of this topic. Over the past few decades, global transformations, including advancements in information and communication technology, globalization, and rapid information flows, have significantly impacted various aspects of life, including education. As traditional Islamic educational institutions, pesantren are not immune to these changes. This study identified key roles pesantren play in adapting to and addressing global transformations while maintaining their traditional values. Various scholarly sources, including academic journals, books, research reports, and online articles, were analyzed to develop a comprehensive perspective on the opportunities and challenges pesantren face in this evolving landscape. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights and recommendations for the future development of pesantren education in an era of continuous global change.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia face increasingly complex challenges in achieving superior competitiveness. Evaluation and quality control of education is the key to improving the quality and relevance of Islamic educational institutions in the face of global competition. This research uses literature research methods to compile and analyze various references, scientific journals, and official documents related to evaluation and quality control in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. The results of the analysis show that first, the evaluation of the quality of Islamic education in Indonesia must include various aspects, such as curriculum, teaching methods, teaching staff, facilities and infrastructure, and the use of technology in learning. Second, active participation from all stakeholders, including lecturers, students, parents, and alumni, is essential in the evaluation process to gain a comprehensive understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. Third, quality control of Islamic education in Indonesia needs to be supported by an effective and integrated quality management system. A holistic, data-driven approach is the cornerstone of better strategic decision-making. The implementation of nationally and internationally recognized Islamic education quality standards can help increase the credibility of educational institutions and provide trust to the community.

Abstract

Islamic education has been at the core of the intellectual development of Muslims for centuries. Madrasas, as traditional educational institutions in the Muslim world, play an important role in the transmission of Islamic scholarship from generation to generation. This abstract discusses the development of education in the transmission of Islamic scholarship in Madrasah by focusing on the changes and challenges faced by this education system. This study involves an analysis of the history of the development of Madrasah from early to modern times. The development of education in Madrasah includes the transformation of curriculum, teaching methods, and the integration of technology in the learning process. In addition, the role of teachers in transmitting authentic Islamic scientific knowledge is also a major concern in this study. In the context of globalization and advances in information technology, Madrasah is faced with various challenges, such as maintaining the relevance of traditional education in modern society and facing competition from the secular education system. Efforts to maintain the authenticity of Islamic values and integrate with contemporary educational approaches are one way to answer this challenge. The research also highlights the importance of Madrasah's role in fostering a deep understanding of Islam and increasing interfaith tolerance. Overall, the development of education in the transmission of Islamic scholarship in Madrassas presents an opportunity to explore the potential of Islamic education holistically and sustainably, and prepare future generations to become responsible global citizens with a strong Islamic scientific foundation.

Abstract

Education is the most important element in building a nation, even often said the progress of a nation can be seen from how good the quality of education in the country. Therefore, it can be said that between education and the State influence each other. For example, in Indonesia, the role of the government is very large in determining the quality of education, if the quality of education in Indonesia is good, it will bring progress to the nation. So, it has become imperative for the Government to continue to make efforts to improve the quality of education, starting from improving the curriculum, learning strategies, even to the level of policy (the enactment of Regional Autonomy) where education is the responsibility of the central government (centralistic) then turns to the authority of the Regional Government of Provinces, Districts / Municipalities is very influential (decentralist). This paper will discuss more deeply the third point of one of the efforts to improve the quality of education mentioned above. Whether this decentralization policy is the best solution in education or still leaves various problems, and more where are the positive values between centralization and decentralization towards improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore new directions of education reform and its implementation in strengthening the process of national education sustainability in Indonesia. This new direction of education reform includes several dimensions, namely. First, the expansion of access and equity in education; Second, curriculum strengthening; third, the use of relevant ICT in learning spaces. From this dimension, it is expected to be able to answer the demands of the times and industry needs in order to produce graduates who are ready to contribute actively in the world of work. The implementation of this new direction of education reform requires support from various parties, including the government, educational institutions, the community, and the business world. There needs to be synergy and collaboration to achieve common goals in advancing national education. In the Indonesian context, coordination between central and local governments is needed to ensure education policies are well implemented.
