Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of applying Quantum Teaching methods based on neuropedagogy in enhancing student learning outcomes. Quantum Teaching is a pedagogical approach that integrated social, emotional, and cognitive elements within the learning process, while neuropedagogy focuses on understanding how the brain learned optimally. By integrating these two approaches, this study explored how a holistically designed learning environment facilitated the enhancement of students’ understanding and knowledge. The study conducted a mixed-method approach, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods to measure the impact of Quantum Teaching methods based on neuropedagogy on students’ academic performance. The findings indicated that students engaged in Quantum Teaching-based learning with a neuropedagogical approach experienced significant improvements in their learning outcomes compared to those following conventional teaching methods. Additionally, this study found that this approach positively affected students’ motivation, engagement, and the development of critical thinking skills. These findings contributed significantly to the field of education, particularly in the context of implementing innovative methods to enhance the quality of learning in the 21st century. The practical implications of this study included recommendations for developing more effective curricula and teaching strategies that educators could apply to achieve better and more holistic learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examined the influence of Javanese culture-based moral education on adolescent behavior in Kediri. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires involving adolescents aged 13 to 18 years. The results revealed that values such as mutual cooperation, respect for elders, and simplicity were well internalized by teenagers and reflected in their daily behavior. The study also found that Javanese culture-based moral education effectively shaped responsible and ethical adolescent character, although modernization posed challenges that created tensions between traditional values and global influences. The implications of this study emphasized the importance of integrating cultural values into the education curriculum while adapting to the impact of modernization. Further study is recommended to explore how cultural values can be adapted in the context of globalization and to develop holistic educational strategies. These findings provided valuable insights for the advancement of culture-based character education in Kediri and other regions in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examined the strategic role of Islamic education in enhancing social media literacy among young generations in the digital age. Using a qualitative approach through library research, the study explored how Islamic education could contribute to developing critical thinking skills, ethical behavior, and responsible use of social media platforms. The findings of the study highlighted three main roles of Islamic education: shaping character and attitudes aligned with Islamic values in social media usage, integrating learning materials on social media ethics, and fostering awareness of the impact of social media on personal development and society. Furthermore, the study identified key strategies for implementing social media literacy in Islamic education, including curriculum integration, utilizing social media as a learning tool, and developing critical thinking skills. The study concluded that Islamic education had significant potential in preparing young generations to face the challenges of the digital era by instilling Islamic principles such as tabayyun (verification), tadabbur (contemplation), and tabarruk (seeking blessings) in their online interactions. This holistic approach was expected to contribute to forming a generation of Muslims who were literate, critical, and responsible in their use of social media.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the programs and their implementation in the mosque as a community education center, using a qualitative approach with a case study at the H.M. Wijadi Dandangan Mosque in Kediri City. The findings showed that the mosque functioned as a center for Islamic education through three main programs: a spiritual education program (tahsin for mothers, Pengajian Ahad Pagi Haromain, kuliah shubuh, thematic routine study, khataman, and tabligh akbar), a skill education program (English Massive, screen printing and graphic design courses, adhan and iqomah courses), and a social education program (Jumat Berkah). The Tahsin Women’s Program had been running for about five years, held from Monday to Thursday between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. using the sorogan method, fostering social bonds and Qur’anic values. The English Massive program, also running for five years, was conducted every Thursday and Saturday using teacher-centered and pairing methods. The Jumat Berkah program was held routinely every Friday. However, several challenges were identified, including a lack of interest from new students in the tahsin program, inconsistent participation, limited awareness of the mosque due to its new status, age-related learning difficulties, and fluctuating motivation and engagement among learners.

Abstract

This study explored the impact of commercialisation on pesantren education in Java, particularly in maintaining the authenticity of its traditional values. Pesantren face the challenge of modernisation that encourages the adoption of the national curriculum and cooperation with the private sector, which may reduce the focus on religious education. This study used the literature study method to analyse the challenges and opportunities faced by pesantren. The findings revealed that while commercialization could erode traditional values and widen educational inequality, it also presents opportunities for pesantren to innovate in curriculum development, enhance facilities, and integrate modern teaching methods. In conclusion, with the right strategies, pesantren can maintain their identity while adapting to market demands, thus remaining relevant in the changing social and economic context.

A descriptive qualitative study methodology using a literature review approach was utilized. The findings of the study showed that the program was effective in improving students’ Qur’anic literacy, enhancing the learning environment, and addressing several accessibility and sustainability-related issues. However, challenges remained, including the need for sustained support from the community and government, as well as ensuring consistency in the quality of teaching across various TPQs. Abstract

The transformation of administrative processes in modern Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) has become increasingly essential in response to the rapid advancements in digital technology. This study aimed to examine the efficiency of administrative digitalization in modern pesantren located on Java Island. The study utilized a qualitative approach, using data collection methods such as in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results showed that administrative digitalization had significantly improved the operational efficiency of pesantren, particularly in areas such as data management, communication, and decision-making processes. The adoption of digital technology had streamlined administrative procedures, enhanced transparency, and increased the accuracy of data, while also reducing the administrative burden. Despite these benefits, the study identified several challenges, including limited technological infrastructure and resistance to change among administrative staff. In conclusion, this study suggested that administrative digitalization is a crucial step in supporting the modernization of pesantren and improving their overall operational efficiency. Recommendations are made for the development of more robust technological infrastructure and the provision of training for administrative staff to ensure the effective implementation of digital technology in daily operations.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the moral concepts developed by Lichona and Kohlberg, analyzing their relevance and application within character education. Through a literature review and comparative analysis, this study examined the key principles of both Lichona’s and Kohlberg’s theories, particularly in relation to character development and moral education in educational settings. By employing a qualitative approach, the study explored how the core ideas from both theorists can be effectively integrated into character education curricula and teaching practices. The findings suggested that, while there are differences in the theoretical underpinnings of the two theories, both provided valuable insights for teaching morality in schools. The study proposed that an integrated approach, combining the strengths of both Lichona’s and Kohlberg’s frameworks, can offer a richer and more comprehensive model for fostering moral development and character education in schools.
