Abstract

Zero-tolerance against Workplace Violence (WPV) should be the motto of every workplace. No worker should be a victim of such abuse. As such, organisations should ensure the existence of a safe working environment, and governments should introduce tough legislation to halt WPV. Furthermore, extensive research is required on ways to prevent WPV. The current research in this area is limited to defining WPV, finding where and when it occurs, and drafting prevention policies. But the actual way to prevent WPV remains a largely unexplored area. Brainstorming is an effective way to generate a pool of ideas on how to prevent WPV. This study generated a pool of ideas by conducting a survey on how to prevent WPV. The survey included 50 participants from various industries and found that 40% of the participants had experienced some kind WPV. This is an alarming statistic. Participants also shared their ideas on how to prevent WPV.

Abstract

Indonesia currently holds the position of the fourth most populous country globally, facing persistent challenges such as poverty, hunger, gender inequality, and disparity. In response, a family planning program was initiated in the 1980s to regulate population growth. Using the capability approach, this research investigates the impact of Indonesia's family planning policy on women, emphasizing gender disparity resulting from inadequate support for human rights in population and family development. Conversion factors play a significant role in shaping women's freedom and capabilities. The study critically examines the strengths and weaknesses of the family planning policy, revealing obstacles for women related to governance shifts, conflicting policies, government inefficiencies, and BKKBN's limitations. The study underscores the importance of effective implementation across all sectors and agencies to address gender inequality in women's health.

To optimize this village funds management, several strategic steps such as: 1) increasing the capacity of village institution; 2). Establishment of Business Units as a joint working group needs to be done.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has become integral to all aspects of modern life. This research examines the relationship between employee competency and the use of a digitalized GIS website for managing customer data, focusing on employees at PDAM Surabaya City. The study involved 100 participants and employed a quantitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and surveys through questionnaires. Findings reveal that while employees generally believe their education and technological skills are well-suited to their job roles and support their performance, there are notable issues with the GIS website's reliability and error management. Statistical analysis confirms that employee competencies significantly impact the effective use of the GIS website, underscoring the importance of skill development in optimizing digital tool utilization and enhancing organizational efficiency. The research implies that improving employee competencies and addressing technical issues with the GIS website are essential for enhancing its utilization and overall organizational performance.Abdillah, M. Abstract

The studies striving to investigate the interrelationships between environmental orientation-company’s performance, and its mediator constructs remain fragmented. This study provides insights to illuminate the process through which environmental orientation transfers into business results. It proposes hypotheses based on Social Identity Theory and the Theory of Reasoned Action and empirically test it in a comparative, cross-cultural study. The findings observe that employee-specific idiosyncrasies influence business performance through employee-based brand equity. Thus, the study suggests an increased role for management-induced practices to effectively transform brand values into a higher level of employee engagement and better business results.
