Abstract

The consultant planning is the key to create document design for project construction. In the world of construction, Variation order are frequent occurrence, many factors cause variation order is uncontrollable, the most common caused by consultant planning. The main task of consultant planning is to provide design architectural in drawing documentation and technical report document that enable contractor to make all of these idea into physical reality in the project. Design error, inadequate design, failure of design or lack of coordination area common cause of variation order by the consultant planning. For this reason, it needs a strategy in the design stage process in order to minimize the occurrence of variation orders. This study aims to identify the stage of design process, identify the risk that occur at the design stage that cause variation orders and the strategy to reduce variation orders caused by the consultant planning.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate and increase service quality to acquire customer satisfaction from the Directorate. Due to the close correlation to customer satisfaction, service quality has been considered a critical factor for service providers' success. Therefore, consumers' perception becomes a crucial component in assessing service quality. The public service quality evaluation was based on the guideline elements from the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reforms regulation No.14 of 2017. The SERVPERF was applied to measure service quality according to the customers' perception of responsiveness, assurance, tangibles, empathy, and reliability. At the same time, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) was used to identify indicators in need of improvement. The result reveals the lowest mean performance score of the empathy dimension, and the five dimensions have a positive correlation to overall service quality. Assurance, empathy, and tangible were significant predictors. Furthermore, based on the results of the IPA, sub-variables Q5, Q29, Q31 are importantly perceived by the customers but the low performance of the Directorate.

Abstract

The food supply chain has a complex structure because it is a perishable product and involves many stakeholders. Because of this complexity, the food supply chain will confront a few sorts of risks. This study means to create a risk assessment model in the food supply chain. Pareto analysis was used to identify risks based on the responses of 5 experts from companies and academics in the food sector. Then, the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method based on grey system theory was utilized to evaluate the causal relationship between identified risks in the food supply chain. Furthermore, the grey-DEMATEL method was developed by combining it with the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) method which can construct and visualize the relationship between risks into a graphic diagram. By integrating the three methods, three critical risks are found is lack of skilled labor, legal and regulatory, and communication failures. The results of this study can help companies to formulate risk mitigation strategies that have been identified in the food supply chain. This research can be expanded by verifying the data statistically using the system dynamics modeling (SDM) method or other statistical methods. Keywords: Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL), Food Risk, Grey system theory, Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM), Supply Chain Risk
