Abstract

This study examines the influence of academic competence and soft skills on vocational high school students’ work readiness by integrating multiple linear regression and machine learning classification approaches. A quantitative method was applied using data collected from 90 final-year students. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression. Additionally, machine learning models Decision Tree, Naive Bayes, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) were employed to classify students’ work readiness levels. The dataset was divided into training (70%) and testing (30%) subsets, and model performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results show that academic competence (p = 0.000) and soft skills (p = 0.006) significantly influence work readiness, with R² = 0.348. The SVM model achieved the highest accuracy (85.56%). These findings demonstrate that integrating statistical and machine learning approaches provides both explanatory and predictive insights.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students’ mathematical representation ability after the implementation of the STEM-integrated Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on inverse proportion material. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using the One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 28 seventh-grade students of Amir Hamzah National Education Junior High School. The research instrument was a descriptive test of mathematical representation ability administered before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the average pretest score increased from 9.29 to 28.93 in the posttest after the implementation of the STEM-integrated PBL model. In addition, the average N-Gain score obtained was 0.28, which was categorized as low improvement. The results of the paired sample t-test also indicated a significant difference between students’ pretest and posttest scores after the treatment (p 0.05). These findings indicate that the STEM-integrated PBL model had a positive effect on students’ mathematical representation ability. The improvement was reflected in students’ ability to present mathematical ideas visually, symbolically, and verbally after participating in the learning process. In addition, the STEM-integrated PBL model encouraged students to be more active in discussions, collaboration, and solving contextual problems, making learning more meaningful. Therefore, the STEM-integrated PBL model can be used as an alternative mathematics learning model that is active and student-centered.

Abstract

Indonesia’s village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) play a strategic role in managing local resources to enhance the economic welfare of rural communities. However, limited access to information has led to low public awareness of their existence, business units, and development. This study aims to design and develop a web-based information system for the Melirang Hebat Village-Owned Enterprise (SIM BUMDes eMHa) as an effective medium for information dissemination and communication. The system was developed using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model, encompassing requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results demonstrate that the proposed system is capable of delivering integrated information on organizational profiles, business units, news, and partnerships. Functional testing showed that all core features operated successfully according to the specified requirements. In addition, the system improved information accessibility and supported more efficient dissemination of BUMDes-related information to the community. The implementation of this system contributes to enhancing transparency, improving information accessibility, and fostering community participation in BUMDes development.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop interactive learning multimedia based on Articulate Storyline for seventh-grade Informatics subjects at SMP Negeri 46 OKU and to determine the feasibility of the developed media. The research employed the Research and Development (RD) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects included material experts, instructional design experts, media experts, and seventh-grade students. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the developed learning multimedia obtained validation scores of 86% from material experts, 84% from instructional design experts, and 84% from media experts, all categorized as good. In addition, the student trial results obtained percentages of 80% in the one-to-one evaluation, 80% in the small group evaluation, and 83% in the field test, indicating that the developed multimedia was feasible for use in the learning process. Therefore, the interactive learning multimedia based on Articulate Storyline can be used as an effective and innovative learning medium to improve students’ interest, motivation, and understanding in Informatics learning.

Abstract

Stroke is a serious disease that requires prompt and appropriate treatment; therefore, determining the level of patient Emenrgency Levels is critically important. This study aims to develop a web-based application for predicting the Emenrgency Levels level of stroke patients using the Naïve Bayes algorithm as a classification method. The research data were obtained from the medical records of stroke patients at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang during March and April 2025, with a total of 222 data samples. The attributes used in this study include age, gender, address, length of stay, ward class, BPJS insurance membership status, and comorbidities, with Emenrgency Levels status as the class attribute classified into Emenrgency and non-Emenrgency. The application was developed as a web-based system to facilitate easy access for medical personnel in utilizing the prediction system. The experimental results indicate that the Naïve Bayes algorithm achieved an accuracy of 77.48% with an error rate of 22.52%. The findings of this study are expected to assist medical personnel in supporting faster and more objective decision-making regarding the Emenrgency Levels level of stroke patients.
