Abstract

This study employed an associative method with a correlational approach to examine the contribution of learning motivation and digital literacy to the learning outcomes of Grade X students in the Informatics subject at SMK Negeri 1 Padang. The research population consisted of 97 students, with a sample of 50 students selected using a simple random sampling technique and proportional allocation based on the Taro Yamane formula. The independent variables were learning motivation and digital literacy, while the dependent variable was learning outcomes. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire to measure learning motivation and digital literacy, as well as documentation of Midterm Exam scores as an indicator of learning outcomes. Instrument validity and reliability were tested using the product moment correlation and Cronbach’s Alpha with the assistance of SPSS. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression, accompanied by classical assumption tests (homogeneity, normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity). The results show that learning motivation contributed significantly by 75.6%, digital literacy contributed 17.5%, and together they contributed 93.1% to students’ learning outcomes. These findings affirm that learning motivation and digital literacy play crucial and complementary roles in improving Informatics learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 1 Padang.

Abstract

This study employed a qualitative method with a case study approach to explore self-harm behavior among students at SMA Negeri 1 Kubung, Solok Regency. The research focused on three students who engaged in self-harm, with data collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and supporting documentation. Interviews were conducted with attention to the subjects’ conditions and schedules to avoid disrupting their learning activities, while secondary data from books and journals were used as supplementary sources. Data analysis was carried out inductively through the stages of data reduction, narrative presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that the primary reason students engaged in self-harm was to express emotional pain, manifested in behaviors such as hitting themselves, cutting their hands, and burning their skin. These actions provided temporary relief and a false sense of satisfaction, while the long-term negative consequences were less recognized. The study underscores the importance of guidance and counseling interventions focused on emotional support and the development of coping strategies to prevent and address self-harm behavior among adolescents in the school environment.

Abstract

The creation of this relief print graphic art themed on the lotus plant employed the Consortium of Art method (Panduan Tugas Akhir Pendidikan Seni Rupa, 2021:78), which comprises five stages: preparation, elaboration, synthesis, concept realization, and completion. The preparation stage involved exploration, observation, and the collection of references related to the lotus. Elaboration included an in-depth study of the lotus’s visual form and philosophical meaning through literature, images, and videos. The synthesis stage produced a visual concept design that combined the aesthetics and symbolism of the lotus. Concept realization was carried out through the technical process of relief printing, starting from sketching, digital processing, carving, and printing to finishing. The completion stage encompassed exhibition, cataloging, and artwork evaluation. Of the ten works produced, the lotus was presented not only as a visual object but also as a symbol of strength, patience, serenity, and usefulness. Challenges encountered included limited initial ideas, scarce literature on lotus symbolism, and technical issues such as inconsistent ink mixtures and printing plate misalignment. These obstacles were addressed through academic guidance and intensive visual exploration. This creative process provided a profound understanding of the artistic process alongside technical skills in printmaking, resulting in artworks that serve not only as artistic achievements but also as a medium for conveying philosophical messages that inspire viewers to reflect on life’s values embodied by the lotus flower.

Abstract

This study examines the learning outcomes of Grade XI Fashion students at SMK Negeri 3 Payakumbuh in shirt-making practice using the assembly line technique and individual practice. The main problem is the lack of students’ comprehensive understanding of the entire shirt-making process, as the assembly line technique assigns each group to work on only certain stages. The study used a quantitative method with a sample of 57 students from a population of 132. The independent variable was the assembly line technique, while the dependent variable was practical learning outcomes. Data were obtained from practical assessment scores and individual test results based on the fashion production design module rubric. The results show that 100% of students achieved mastery in the assembly line practice, while only 60% achieved mastery in individual practice. A moderate and significant correlation was found between the learning outcomes of the assembly line technique and individual practice (r_calculated = 0.410 > r_table = 0.2162; significance 10%). In conclusion, the assembly line technique effectively improves practical learning outcomes in shirt-making and has a significant effect on individual learning outcomes; however, additional guidance is still needed to ensure students understand the entire shirt-making process.

Abstract

This study is motivated by technological developments that have driven increased use of social media among students, including TikTok, which was initially used for entertainment but is now utilized in education, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam, PAI) learning. The research aims to examine the use of TikTok as a PAI learning medium among Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Patamuan. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews with teachers and students, observation of learning activities, and documentation of class activities. The analysis focused on identifying the role of TikTok in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of learning. The results show that in the planning stage, teachers design PAI material concepts aligned with the curriculum, package them into short educational videos, select relevant themes, and choose media that attract learning interest. In the implementation stage, students are directed to access and study TikTok content with religious themes such as dakwah, Qur’anic verse quotations, Islamic advice, and worship practices. The evaluation stage involves assessing students’ video works or analyses based on content, creativity, and understanding, as well as class discussions and reflections. The study concludes that using TikTok as a PAI learning medium can increase student engagement, enrich learning resources, and provide a more interactive learning experience.

Abstract

South Padang District has varied topography with steep slopes, making it prone to landslides, particularly during the rainy season. This vulnerability is exacerbated by uncontrolled land-use changes, necessitating a comprehensive study to map hazard-prone areas and formulate mitigation strategies. This study aims to: (1) model landslide-prone areas in South Padang District using the Frequency Ratio (FR) method and (2) determine priority mitigation efforts using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. A descriptive quantitative approach was applied, with the FR method used to analyze hazard levels and AHP employed to establish mitigation strategy priorities. The analysis results indicate three hazard categories: low (26%, 208,524 pixels), medium (34%, 266,624 pixels), and high (40%, 379,864 pixels) of the total area. AHP analysis using Expert Choice placed landslide hazard mapping as the top priority with a weight of 0.376. These findings emphasize that spatial approaches and land-use control should form the basis for effective, targeted, and sustainable landslide mitigation policies.

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of tauhid education according to Ustadz Abdullah Said, founder of Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah, who regarded tauhid as the primary foundation for building a strong Muslim aqidah, morality, and character. Abdullah Said developed the Sistematika Nuzulnya Wahyu (SNW) method, based on the sequence of the first five revelations received by Prophet Muhammad SAW (QS Al-‘Alaq 1–5, Al-Qalam 1–7, Al-Muzzammil 1–10, Al-Muddatsir 1–7, and Al-Fatihah 1–7). Each surah contains fundamental principles for forming an Islamic personality, namely awareness of Allah, a Qur’anic life vision, spiritual strengthening, readiness for dakwah, and a complete orientation toward worship. This holistic approach integrates tilawah, tazkiyah, and ta’limah, aiming to produce dakwah cadres who have faith, Qur’anic morals, active worship, and commitment to the jamaah. The concept is applied in the pesantren environment by combining dimensions of worship, social engagement, and economic activities, thus shaping agents of change ready to contribute to society.

Abstract

Happiness is the ultimate goal of human life and the subject of philosophical, psychological, and spiritual inquiry. In the Islamic perspective, happiness encompasses both worldly and hereafter dimensions. Surah Ali Imran verse 200 provides comprehensive guidance through four main pillars—ṣabr (patience), ṣabāt (steadfastness), murābaṭah (readiness for striving), and taqwā (piety)—which serve as the foundation for attaining true happiness. This study aims to explore the concept of happiness according to the Qur’an with a focus on Surah Ali Imran verse 200, and to analyze its relevance to modern life. Using a qualitative approach and thematic exegesis method, the study finds that happiness in Islam originates from obedience, perseverance in striving, and firm faith in Allah SWT. These spiritual values serve as the foundation for building a peaceful, balanced, and meaningful life, both in this world and in the hereafter.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of integrating Islamic values and philosophy in the learning process at MI PK Al Islam Pucangsawit from the perspective of Islamic epistemology. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that knowledge formation in this madrasah relies not only on empirical and rational aspects but also integrates sources of revelation, reason, experience, and intuition in accordance with the principles of Islamic epistemology. Teachers play a central role as educators of values and meaning, supported by a madrasah environment that shapes students’ spiritual character. Knowledge is taught not in a secular or value-free manner but is integrated with the principles of tauhid, morality, and life’s meaning. These findings indicate that the Islamic epistemology approach can create holistic and meaningful learning at the elementary level. This study underscores the importance of integrative and philosophical Islamic education as an effort to restore the true meaning of knowledge in shaping the insan kamil.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low ability of children in letter recognition and the prevalence of media that do not adequately support the development of this skill. The use of the CapCut application to create interactive videos is seen as a solution to complement learning, as it offers an engaging and participatory method for children to learn the makhraj of Hijaiyah letters. The research aims to describe the effect of using CapCut-based interactive films on the recognition of Hijaiyah letter pronunciation at Wahana Harapan Bangsa 1 Kindergarten, Padang City. This quantitative study employed a one-group pretest–posttest design, involving all 26 students, with a sample of 14 Class B1 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a 10-item test and analyzed using the t-test and N-Gain test with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The t-test results showed a t-value of 14.612, greater than the t-table value of 2.131, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, thus rejecting H₀. These findings indicate that the use of CapCut-based interactive videos has a significant effect on early childhood’s ability to recognize the points of articulation of Hijaiyah letters.
