Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of students' reading ability and interest in reading at SMPN 1 Pagu and they prefer fun activities because they think that reading is boring unlike when reading novels, comics and other picture books. So in this case it requires special attention from teachers and parents to provide extra education for children so that they are interested in reading and improve their reading comprehension skills, both at home and especially at school. The formulation of the problem is 1) What is the influence of the Quantum Reading Learning Model on Students' Reading Comprehension Ability in Class Ⅶ Social Sciences Subjects at SMPN 1 Pagu? ; 2) What is the influence of the Quantum Reading Learning Model on Students' Reading Interest in Social Sciences Subjects in Class Ⅶ at SMPN 1 Pagu? . The research objectives in this thesis are 1) To determine the effect of the Quantum Reading learning model on students' reading comprehension abilities in class VII social studies at SMPN 1 Pagu; 2) To determine the effect of the Quantum Reading learning model on students' reading interest in social studies subjects at SMPN 1 Pagu, Kediri Regency in 2023/2024. This research uses a quantitative approach. Quasi experimental type of quantitative research. The population in this study were all class VII students at SMPN 1 Pagu, Kediri Regency. The samples in this research were class VII B students consisting of 36 students and class VII C consisting of 36 students. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used is the paired sample T test (Paired Sample T Test). The results of the research show that 1) the Quantum Reading learning model has an influence on the Reading (Comprehension) of Class VII students at SMPN 1 Pagu, Kediri Regency 2023/2024, as evidenced by the obtained significance value (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. 2) the Quantum Reading learning model influences the reading interest of Class VII students at SMPN 1 Pagu, Tulungahung Regency 2023/2024, as evidenced by the acquisition of students' reading interest with a significance (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out that Individual Counseling with a Reality Approach can Develop Self-Confidence in Students at SMP Negeri 8 Denpasar. This research was planned for 2 cycles, each cycle with 1 meeting. This research uses a cyclical classroom action research design. This effort is made to foster students' courage and enthusiasm because essentially a feeling of lack of self-confidence is born because of feelings of fear, whether it is fear of failure or because they are not confident in their abilities and all of this is the influence of the wrong mindset. The results of the research show that the results of services for students at SMP Negeri 8 Denpasar in cycle 1 to increase self-confidence using the Behavior Contract obtained an average score for cycle 1 of 68.0 with the highest score being 90, there were 4 people and the lowest score was 70, there were 11 people. Meanwhile, in cycle II, the average score for cycle II was 79.0, with the highest score being 90, there were 7 people and the lowest score was 70, there were 8 people. Students who did not complete both in cycle I and cycle II were the same students, this was because these students basically had no intention of learning. Based on data on student learning outcomes from cycle I and cycle II, it showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 8 Denpasar shows the results of increasing compliance with self-confidence using Behavioral Contracts. Individual Counseling with a Reality Approach can Increase the Self-Confidence of Students at SMP Negeri 8 Denpasar.

Abstract

Uneven population distribution is a condition where the population in an area is not distributed evenly and regularly. Uneven population distribution can be seen between rural areas and urban areas. Factors that influence these conditions are geographical conditions, environmental conditions and economic development. Indonesia has a very large territory so it is difficult to evenly distribute the population. Uneven population distribution has positive and negative impacts on life. The positive impact is to encourage economic growth and improve infrastructure. The negative impact is social inequality, crime, and can trigger traffic jams.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how teacher creativity increases students' interest in learning in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects at MAN 4 Kediri. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with the data sources used being primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation with data validity testing using triangulation. The results of the research show that the creativity provided by Social Sciences teachers in increasing students' interest in learning in Social Sciences subjects at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Kediri is quite positive, with creative learning models applied and interesting ice breaking methods provided.

Abstract

Teacher ethics, It refers to a set of moral and professional principles that govern the behavior of teachers in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. Teacher ethics includes aspects such as integrity, honesty, fairness, respect for diversity, and professional obligations towards students and their own profession. Indonesian Teacher Academic Qualification and Competency Standards are set by the government to ensure that teachers have the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to provide quality education. The standards cover various aspects, including minimum academic qualifications, teaching skills, communication skills, classroom management abilities, knowledge of curriculum, and understanding of student needs. The aim of this research is to find out how or to what extent a teacher's code of ethics is an indicator of the success of a teacher's competence who has at least 4 competencies.

Abstract

The development of the era which is known as the digital era has provided changes and challenges for the world of education and also in the economic and other fields. The digital era is a more advanced development that will make everything digital in accordance with the preparation of more professional Civics teachers for the future in creating the skills and competencies needed in the digital era. Preparations must be made from now on, where every teacher learns how to use digital systems which must be adapted to learning needs in the digital era. The research method used is the library study method which is research carried out using library literature using a library study approach which is a supporting material for completing and obtaining research results about professional teachers for the future needed in the digital era. Teachers prepare themselves to create skills and competencies in the digital era.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education has become a significant phenomenon in the era of disruption. This research discusses the challenges and opportunities that digital transformation in the disruption era provides for education. The results show that digital transformation can help improve the quality of education by utilizing digital technology in the learning process. In addition, digital transformation also helps improve the accessibility of education, facilitate the teaching and learning process, and improve the overall quality of education. In the future, digital transformation is expected to continue to increase the role of technology in education. Teachers and students must continue to adapt to technological developments and utilize technology to improve the quality of education. In synthesis, digital transformation in education has great potential in improving the quality of education and preparing students for a better future.

Abstract

Teacher professional development in the digital era is a complex challenge influenced by various interrelated factors. This study aims to analyze the main factors that influence the development of teachers' professional competencies in a digital context. Digital technologies, including internet access, hardware, software, and online learning platforms, are key elements in improving teachers' competencies. Training and professional development that emphasizes the use of technology in learning is essential to prepare teachers for these changes. Support from school leadership and government through policies, programs and incentives also play an important role in supporting teachers to develop digital skills. Adaptive and flexible curricula enable the integration of technology in teaching, while collaboration between schools, teachers, parents and communities creates a supportive environment for teachers' professional development. Teachers' intrinsic motivation to continuously learn and adapt to changes in technology and pedagogy is influential. With good management of these factors, the quality of teaching and student learning outcomes can improve, as well as advance the teaching profession in the digital era.

Abstract

Education is an effort carried out by the government to educate society and advance the nation. Without professional teaching resources, the quality of education will not improve. The aim of this research is to determine the level of professionalism of teachers through professional organizations in achieving quality education, and obstacles to community development. A professional teacher/instructor cannot only be responsible for teaching materials in his field of knowledge, a professional teacher must have a broad understanding /in depth about human nature and society. The teaching profession has various professional attributes, one of which is the professional teacher organization, which was created to ensure the teaching profession can play a maximum role in the educational process and the quality of education. Abstract

The formation of students' ethics and morals is one of the crucial aspects of education, aiming not only to enhance academic knowledge but also to shape good character. In a continuously changing and challenging social context, the need for education that instills moral and ethical values becomes increasingly urgent. This aligns with the role of education. Although there have been many studies discussing the importance of character education, there is still a gap in understanding the specific role of teachers in this context. This research utilizes a qualitative method with a literature review approach.
