Istoria: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali setahun, setiap bulan April dan September yang berisi hasil penelitian (lapangan atau studi pustaka) kajian teoretis maupun kajian kritis. Jurnal ini merupakan salah satu media publikasi bagi penelitian dengan kajian terkini dalam bidang sejarah dan pendidikan sejarah yang meliputi ranah sejarah dan pembelajaran sejarah itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian sejarah teoritis dan kritis mencakup sejarah dunia, sejarah Indonesia, dan sejarah lokal sedangkan pada bidang pendidikan sejarah mencakup strategi pembelajaran sejarah, metode pembelajaran sejarah, evaluasi pembelajaran sejarah, dan hal-hal lain yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan sejarah.

Abstract

This research and development was raised from the problems that emerged in SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City, namely there are still the same learning media, the teaching materials used are still using printed books and LKS and teachers teach using lecture and PPT learning methods. This research has the aim of how to develop and feasibility of animation-based audio-visual media. The development model used is ADDIE which includes five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The developed media was then validated by media experts and material experts. In the field trial, three stages of research were carried out, namely one-to-one trials obtained a score of 74.66% in the "Feasible" Category. Small group trials obtained a score of 90.33% in the "Very Feasible" Category. Field test trials obtained a score of 69.26% in the "Feasible" Category. Therefore, it can be concluded that Animation-based Audio Visual media is "feasible" to be used for students

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low score of students in the History subject in grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Penukal Utara. The method used in this study is quantitative with the type of experiment and the design of the pretest-postest control group. The population used was 197 students with a total sample of 56 students consisting of class XI.1 totaling 28 students and class XI.2 totaling 28 students. Meanwhile, the data collection techniques used in this study consist of Observation, Tests and Documentation. The data analysis techniques used were normality tests, homegenity tests and hypothesis tests

Abstract

This article discusses the November 10 battle in Surabaya. The purpose of this research is to find the history and mobilization of the battle in Surabaya and the values of nationalism contained therein. The method used in this paper uses historical methods with qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The sources used in this paper are historical sources that use historical analysis techniques that use interpretations of historical facts which include books, documents and journals related to the November 10 battle in Surabaya. The results of this study indicate that the battle for Surabaya on November 10 was motivated by the Yamato hotel incident where soldiers tried to fly the Dutch flag, causing anger among the people and youth of Surabaya. The battle in Surabaya was not only carried out armed, but also carried out through political and diplomatic channels. The mobilization that took place in the Battle of Surabaya was a spirit of unity shown by a group with other groups even though the underlying spirit was different. The value of nationalism contained in this paper is the persistence and high loyalty of the Indonesian people and Surabaya youth to uphold and fight for Indonesian independence.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and assess the feasibility of a UNO card game-based learning media to improve students' understanding of history, specifically the topic of prehistoric humans in Indonesia. The subjects were 10th-grade students at SMA YP UNILA Bandar Lampung, using a research and development (R&D) method through the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results showed that the UNO Card History learning media received a very valid rating from media experts (83%) and from material experts (97%). Trials involving teachers and students also yielded positive responses, with 97% and 91% of teachers, respectively, confirming the media's suitability for use in the learning process. Modifications to the UNO cards with the use of color, images, and interactive elements make the learning experience more engaging and effective. Therefore, UNO Card History can be used as an innovative alternative to improve the quality of history learning at SMA YP UNILA Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

In the 11th century CE, the Islamic world faced a critical period marked by the decline of the Abbasid Caliphate, political fragmentation, and external pressures from non-Muslim powers. The Seljuk Dynasty, originating from the Oghuz Turks, emerged as a transformative force that reshaped the political and social landscape of the Islamic world. Under leaders such as Tughril Beg and Alp Arslan, the Seljuks consolidated power in Persia and Iraq, reinforced the authority of the Abbasid Caliphate, and expanded Islamic influence into Anatolia. The dynasty not only acted as a savior against external threats but also served as an internal unifier through administrative reforms, the establishment of educational institutions (such as the Nizamiyah Madrasahs), and the promotion of scientific development. This article aims to analyze the Seljuk Dynasty’s contributions to the medieval Islamic world, the factors behind their rise, and the dynamics of their eventual decline leading to political fragmentation. Utilizing historical approaches and analysis of primary and secondary sources, this study highlights the crucial role of the Seljuks in shaping classical Islamic civilization.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the documentary film "Rengasdengklok" on student learning outcomes in History. The research method used was an experimental research method with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The subjects were 11th-grade students divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The research instrument was a learning outcome test administered before and after the treatment. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the use of the documentary film "Rengasdengklok" had no significant effect on students' History learning outcomes. This indicates that the documentary films significant contribution to improving student learning outcomes. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for teachers in selecting appropriate learning media and as a reference for further research related to the effectiveness of using learning media in improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the improvement of students’ history learning outcomes through the application of the scramble learning model in class X.2 of SMAS Tamansiswa Teluk Betung, Bandar Lampung. This study employed classroom action research (CAR), carried out in two cycles, each consisting of four meetings with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted collaboratively between the researcher and the history teacher. Data were collected using tests, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the use of the scramble learning model created an engaging and enjoyable learning atmosphere, which contributed to improved student achievement. In the pre-cycle, only 5 students achieved mastery with an average score of 60.68. In the first cycle, the number of students who met the mastery criteria increased to 15 students (51.72%). By the second cycle, the number rose significantly to 26 students (89.65%). In conclusion, the application of the scramble learning model effectively enhanced the history learning outcomes of class X.2 students at SMAS Tamansiswa Teluk Betung, Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

The Kedukan Bukit Inscription considers values that can be used as a source of learning for high school. The purpose of this study was to determine the values of the contents of the Kedukan Bukit inscription as a source of learning history for high school. This research method uses qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques in this study were through observation and library research. The results of this study indicate that in the contents of the Kedukan Bukit Inscription there are 11 values, namely religious values, technological values, maritime values, leadership values, struggle values, discipline values in valuing time, teamwork values, economic values, optimism values, responsibility values, and language values. The conclusion is that the values in the contents of the Kedukan Bukit Inscription can be used as a source of learning history in class X phase E, where the material is the Hindu-Buddhist kingdom. In fact, the values of the Kedukan Bukit Inscription can be associated with the P5 values contained in the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This research is a historical research with the theme of Women's History. his study aims to describe women's involvement in local politics in the Sarolangun Regency DPRD throughout 2004 – 2024. The method used in this research is a historical research method consisting of several stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The primary source used in this research is an interview with female officials in the Sarolangun Regency DPRD. While the secondary sources used are books, theses, journals and internet sources. The results of the study show that women can also have the same place as men with a point of view that can be considered in the political world, being a female official is also a challenge in managing the household and as a public worker. The research findings show that female officials have their own unique ways of managing household chores and their roles as public officials.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan bangsa besar, kaya akan kebudayaan yang terbesar di seluruh daerah Indonesia. Berbagai macam tradisi yang ada pada masyarakat secara umum yaitu menggambarkan siklus kehidupan selalu didasari kepercayaan dan sifat sakral, sehingga membuat masing-masing suku memiliki kecendrungan menjalani berbagai tradisi suku mereka masing-masing seperti Ritual dan Spiritual Kerio Agung Bukit Layang Desa Bukit Ulu Kecamatan Karang Jaya Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara. Tradisi Ritual dan Spiritual pada masyarakat Desa Bukit Ulu ini sudah ada sejak zaman nenek moyang terdahulu, ritual dan spiritual ini merupakan bagian dari tradisi suku kerio yang mendiami wilayah tersebut, ritual tersebut biasanya dikaitkan dengan kegiatan keagamaan, pemujaan leluhur, dan ungkapan syukur atas hasil panen serta kesejahteraan masyarakat. Metode Penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian jeni skualitatif dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara mengadakan pengamatan secara langsung pada obyek yang diteliti guna melengkapi informasi yang dibutuhkan seperti observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sementara Dalam penelitian kualitatif uji keabsahan data menggunakan Uji kreabilitas Uji Transferabilitas,Uji Dependability (ketahanan), dan Uji confirmability.
