Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether or not there is an effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on student learning outcomes in class III SDN Gandekan Surakarta mathematics content in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is a quantitative study with a one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study were 28 students. The sample used was all members of the population. The technique used was saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques were such as test, observations, intervuews, and documentation. In this study, to test the instrument validity test, reliability test, discriminating power, and level of difficulty were used. The data analysis technique in this study was Shapiro Wilk’s normality analysis and hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon test. Based on the analysis of statistical data with the help of SPSS version 25, the average value data obtained before the treatment was applied was 54.82. After applying the treatment, the result was 66.25. The result of the Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) paired sample t-test was 0.000, which meant 0.000 <0.05. Thus, the hypothesis that ‘there is a significant effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on student learning outcomes in class III SDN Gandekan Surakarta in the mathematics content in the 2021/2022 academic year’ is acceptable.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that is studied by all levels in education with a very important role in mastering science and technology. However, not all individuals have the ability in this mathematical matter. So that it is not uncommon for individuals to think that mathematics is a difficult subject. As was the case with the third grade students at SDN Branggah II, Lumbang District, their math skills were still relatively low. This means that there needs to be an action to fix the problem. Based on research, these problems occur because of the inappropriateness of the learning model used in learning mathematics. For this reason, researchers want to carry out an action to improve mathematics learning outcomes by utilizing the Contextual learning model. This research was carried out using classroom action research (PTK) with the data collection process using observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis process used is descriptive comparative data analysis and quantitative analysis. The use of Contextual learning models to improve student learning outcomes is very significant and effective, with the percentage of completeness in pre-cycle 37.5%, cycle I 61.5, and cycle II 87.9%. This means that here the utilization of this contextual learning model is very suitable for use in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of education must be holistic, including knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. Here, educators become the main factor in improving the quality of education. Educators must be competent in the use of learning strategies and methods. The motivation for this study is the problems that arise in the learning of 2nd grade mathematics of SDN SOGAAN II - PROBOLINGGO, students are unable to understand the concepts of subtraction of even numbers and subtraction of numbers one and the use learning materials in teaching and the learning process is not very interesting, lack of interests and learning outcomes for category 2 SDN SOGAAN II - PROBOLINGGO. So we need a treatment to solve this problem. For this reason, researchers use rubber games for group learning to increase interest and learning outcomes. The study was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method and the data analysis used a circular qualitative approach to measure learning outcomes. The application of group learning and rubber games has a positive impact on improving student learning outcomes, and student learning outcomes have increased in the second cycle. In Cycle I, students achieved an overall average learning outcome of only 73.75, which was considered insufficient to meet academic performance goals, while in Cycle II, they achieved 82.4. This means that group learning through rubber games is very effective in increasing student interest and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the positive and significant influence of self-concept on student work readiness, (2) the positive and significant influence of field practice on student work readiness, (3) the positive and significant influence of information on the world of work on student work readiness, (4) the positive and significant influence of self-concept, field practice and information on the world of work together on student work readiness.This research is a type of ex post facto research. The population in this study were 52 students of accounting study program. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed by simple regression technique and multiple regression analysis.The results of this study indicate that at a significance level of 5%. (1) There is a positive and significant influence of self-concept on work readiness with of 8,141. (2) There is a positive and significant influence field practice on work readiness with of 6,420. (3) There is a positive and significant influence between information on the world of work on work readiness and of 5,947. (4) There is a positive influence and significant self-concept, field practice and information on the world of work together on work readiness with of 29,011.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian plays a very important role before other learning in the main teaching and learning process. However, there are still many problems that occur in the elementary school environment with low reading skills. This research was conducted because there was a low level of students' reading aloud skills when the Indonesian subject took place in class II students at SDN Sukabumi 1, Probolinggo City. This problem is due to the lack of educator skills in utilizing learning media. With this, researchers are challenged to be able to fix these problems by applying word card media. This research was conducted using a Classroom Action Research (CAR), analysis of data acquisition based on the results of tests and interviews and data analysis using descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. There was an increase in the implementation of cycle I and cycle II with an average of 56.14 in cycle I and an increase in cycle II of 82.3 with the complete category.

Abstract

The lack of educator skills in choosing learning models will have a negative impact on their students. The existence of the problem of low student learning outcomes and student activity made the researchers take the initiative to conduct oriented research to improve mathematics learning outcomes using the van hiele learning model. The subjects of this study were 32 grade 5 students. The research location is at SDN Pondok Kelor 1 Paiton Probolinggo. In its implementation using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data collection process was carried out by observation, interviews, documentation, and learning achievement tests. The data analysis process utilizes a qualitative descriptive type. This qualitative descriptive describes the quality or the quality of the results of the implementation carried out. The results obtained from research on the use of the Van Hiele learning model resulted in an increase in student learning outcomes. Evidenced by the acquisition in the first cycle the value of student learning activities with good criteria, namely 45.86%, in the second cycle increased to 78.11%. In addition, student learning outcomes when calculated using the average score have increased, from 57 in cycle I to 74 in cycle II.

Abstract

Lessons in Indonesian continue to be given at every level of education, starting from elementary education to tertiary institutions with the aim of improving students' ability to communicate orally and in writing using Indonesian. However, there is a problem. This research was conducted because of the low interest and learning skills of students in learning Indonesian in class II MI Miftahul Huda Jrebeng Kidul Wonoasih. This is due to the incompatibility of the learning methods and media used in the discussion of understanding the contents of the text. For this reason, the researcher is interested in correcting this problem by utilizing the discussion method and picture series media. This research was carried out using the PTK method and the data analysis was descriptive qualitative by describing the research strategy realistically based on the data obtained. The results obtained after the research showed an increase in the average interest with an average pre-cycle of 38, an average of 47 in the first cycle and an average of 79 in the second cycle. cycle I and 80 in cycle II.

Abstract

Mathematics is an important subject to be taught at MI because mathematics is very useful in students' daily lives, especially in terms of subtraction and addition. However, not all students understand mathematics learning. Like the problems that occurred in Class III MI Nurul Hikmah students in their third year, they found difficulties in learning mathematics in the discussion of addition and subtraction. This is due to the lack of precise application of the learning method used. As educators must be more creative in utilizing learning methods. For this reason, researchers are very interested in carrying out this research by applying the Role Playing learning method to fix these problems and increase student scores. This research was carried out with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). With the stages of data collection using several ways, namely: observation, interviews, tests of discussion results, documentation, performance indicators. The process of data analysis with descriptive qualitative research. The results of research using the Role Playing method experienced a significant increase with the acquisition of the first cycle completeness value of only 32.5% and the second cycle reached 100%.

Abstract

Based on the results of the research data, it shows that the learning activities of students in class 3 at the beginning of the meeting can be categorized as low and the teaching materials used by class 3 teachers are very conventional, less effective and the teacher still uses lecture, discussion and assignment methods. based on some of the problems that occurred in the research, the researchers decided to make observations at Kalisalam 1 Elementary School regarding the Application of Montessori-based 2-dimensional learning media with the aim of knowing how Montessori-based 2-dimensional learning media can improve learning outcomes in science learning in class 3 students of Kalisalam Elementary School 1 Probolinggo Regency. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the subjects in this study being grade 3 students at SDN Kalisalam 1, Probolinggo Regency, consisting of 28 students, namely 10 male students and 18 female students. The data collected in this study were student activities, student learning outcomes, observation, interview, test, and documentation during learning activities. Data analysis used by researchers is descriptive qualitative, namely data obtained from an analysis of student activities during teaching and learning activities and comparing student learning outcomes in the initial conditions before improvement with learning outcomes obtained after taking action in the first cycle. Based on the details of the results of the implementation of the action as much as 2 cycles in science learning. It can be concluded that learning science on the subject of weather, climate, season and its influence on the lives of living things using 2-dimensional montessori-based learning media can improve learning outcomes with mastery learning by 79.00% in cycle 2 where this figure is very significant when compared to the level of learning completeness in cycle 2. 1 which is 66.6%.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a pocket book development product called Tembang Dolanan to improve students' love of the motherland character education, which meets valid, efficient, and effective criteria. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) development design, in which the outline of this research flow is (1) research and information collection for initial data needs or needs analysis (need assessment) researchers use observation of student learning activities and distributing questionnaires to teachers and students, (2) initial product development planning in the form of pocket book printing media by considering material, design, subject matter limitations, and preparing trial plans, (3) expert evaluation, carried out by material experts and media experts, (4) revision of results expert evaluation, (5) product trials using 22 research subjects, (6) the final product in the form of Tembang Dolanan pocket book printing media. The material expert validation results reached 93.18% with revisions. Media expert validation results reached 83.33% with revisions. And after the field test the results of the teacher's response reached 91.66% while the results of the student's response reached 100%. Based on these results, the Tembang Dolanan pocket book teaching materials are included in the valid, efficient, and effective qualifications used in learning.
