Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Lahat Selatan in the subject of Social Studies on the material "Various Jobs" through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The subjects of the study were 15 students. The study was conducted in three stages, namely initial learning (pre-cycle), cycle I, and cycle II. In the initial learning, only 40% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) ≥ 65, while the other 60% had not completed it. After improvements were made to learning in cycle I, the percentage of completion increased to 67%, but had not reached the target for learning success. Further improvements were made in cycle II, by correcting deficiencies in cycle I, such as adding learning media. As a result, all students (100%) achieved scores above the KKM. The results of the study indicate that the application of the right Problem Based Learning learning model can effectively improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study explores the critical perspective of Islamic Kalam (theology) on scientific secularism, a worldview that separates religion from scientific inquiry and public life. Using a qualitative literature review method, the research analyzes both classical and contemporary Kalam texts alongside modern critiques of secularism. The findings reveal that Kalam theology fundamentally rejects the dichotomy between religious knowledge and scientific knowledge, emphasizing the complementary relationship between divine revelation and human reason. Kalam scholars argue that secularism undermines the moral and spiritual values essential for holistic knowledge and societal well-being. This paper concludes that Kalam offers a robust epistemological framework to counter the challenges posed by secularism, promoting an integrated approach that harmonizes faith and reason in addressing modern scientific and social issues.

Abstract

Penanaman nilai-nilai moderasi beragama menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam kehidupan masyarakat yang majemuk. Di tengah tantangan radikalisme dan intoleransi, peran tokoh agama, khususnya Tuan Guru di Lombok, menjadi sangat strategis dalam membentuk sikap keberagamaan yang inklusif dan toleran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Tuan Guru dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama di masyarakat Desa Lembuak, Kecamatan Narmada, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan Tuan Guru dan tokoh masyarakat, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tuan Guru di Desa Lembuak memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam membimbing umat untuk menjalankan ajaran Islam secara wasathiyah (moderat) melalui pengajian, dakwah, dan keteladanan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Nilai-nilai moderasi seperti toleransi, anti kekerasan, dan komitmen kebangsaan ditanamkan melalui pendekatan kultural dan spiritual yang kuat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan peran Tuan Guru sebagai agen perdamaian dan pelopor moderasi beragama di tingkat akar rumput.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of employee green behavior in the relationship between employee engagement and organizational sustainability. The research background is based on the importance of implementing environmentally friendly practices in the workplace as part of an organizational sustainability strategy, where employee engagement potentially enhances green behavior that impacts sustainability performance. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed, targeting employees of PT. Tapian Nadenggan Tbk., which has implemented the ISO 14001 environmental management system. Data were collected using a 36-item questionnaire and analyzed through Partial Least Squares (PLS). The findings reveal that employee engagement has a significant effect on organizational sustainability (β = 0.469; p < 0.05) as well as on employee green behavior, which in turn significantly mediates this relationship (β = 0.480; p < 0.05). The R² results indicate that employee engagement contributes 27.3% to the formation of employee green behavior and, together with employee green behavior, explains 65.7% of the variance in organizational sustainability. These results highlight that employee involvement in environmentally friendly practices strengthens organizational sustainability performance. The practical implication suggests that organizations should integrate sustainability values into their work culture to achieve long-term sustainable performance.

Abstract

The phenomenon of instant hijrah has become a trend among young Muslim generations, particularly in the era of social media. Hijrah, which is essentially a deep spiritual process, is now often understood superficially as a change in outward appearance or participation in religious communities without a strong foundation in creed (ʿaqīdah). This shift is largely influenced by environmental factors, public figures, and social pressures that turn hijrah into a symbol of instant religious status. This context, the so-called popular creed lifestyle has also emerged, referring to the practice and understanding of Islamic values framed within pop culture trends and the commodification of religion. Islamic preaching through digital media, the use of branded modest fashion, and the viral spread of Islamic jargon without deeper meaning are all part of this dynamic. While this lifestyle influences how individuals express their religiosity, it often becomes trapped in symbolism rather than genuine spiritual transformation. This study aims to critically analyze how instant hijrah and the popular creed lifestyle influence the religious patterns of urban Muslim communities. Using sociological and theological approaches, the findings reveal that although these phenomena have the potential to positively spread Islamic values, there is a pressing need to reinforce a deeper understanding of ʿaqīdah to prevent religion from becoming mere external identity. A critical awareness in undergoing hijrah and practicing faith is essential to preserve the sincerity of intention and spiritual quality in living a truly religious life.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a conceptual approach to Qur'anic exegesis grounded in the epistemological framework of Ulumul Qur’an. Employing a qualitative method through literature review and conceptual-hermeneutic analysis, the research examines classical and contemporary Ulumul Qur’an texts alongside major tafsir works to evaluate the potential integration between Ulumul Qur’an disciplines and interpretative methodologies. The findings reveal that sciences such as asbabun nuzul (occasions of revelation), makki-madani classification, qira’at (variant readings), nasikh-mansukh (abrogation), and munasabah (intertextual relationships) serve not merely as auxiliary tools but constitute a systematic and relevant methodological framework for interpretation. This study proposes five stages in the conceptual approach: identifying the context of revelation, thematic-conceptual reading, integrating inter-verse relationships, historical verification through nasikh-mansukh analysis, and applying social relevance within contemporary contexts.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the author's interest in the efforts of education teachers in improving the learning achievement of Islamic Religious Education students at SDN 5 Pandan Wangi. In this case, the author wants to know. 1) What efforts are made by Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving the learning achievement of Islamic Religious Education students in grade V at SDN 5 Pandan Wangi. 2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors of Islamic Religious Education teachers' efforts in improving the learning achievement of Islamic Religious Education students in grade V at SDN 5 Panan Wangi. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method, in the data collection process, the researcher uses observation, interview and documentation methods. The validity of the researcher's data uses triangulation techniques. Data analysis is carried out in three stages, namely from the results of observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this study were the principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and fifth grade students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that 1. The efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving the Islamic Religious Education learning achievement of students at SDN 5 Pandan Wangi, Jerowaru District, are as follows: a.) Holding games in class such as quizzes/questions and answers, b.) Conducting discussions, c.) Providing motivation, d.) The curriculum used is the Merdeka curriculum. 2. Supporting and Inhibiting Factors of Islamic Religious Education Teachers' Efforts in Improving the Islamic Religious Education Learning Achievement of Fifth Grade Students at SDN 5 Pandan Wangi, a.) supporting factors: 1. The existence of training provided by schools, both government agencies and other independent institutions to teachers at SDN 5 Pandan Wangi, 2. Having learning facilities, 3. Providing cross-curriculum. b.) inhibiting factors: 1. Coming from the teachers themselves 2. Lack of Islamic Religious Education lesson hours.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Akidah Ahlak learning with the Pancasila and Rahmatan lil Alamin Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5/PPRa) in building moral and national character in madrasahs. With a qualitative descriptive approach, this study examines the process of internalizing the values of faith, piety, and noble morals that are in line with moderate, tolerant, and inclusive characters as emphasized in P5/PPRa. The results of the study indicate that although the implementation of the program still encounters obstacles, such as minimal teacher understanding and limited facilities, this integration has begun to show a positive impact on the formation of student character. Contextual project activities are able to encourage student involvement in social and religious activities. From these findings, it is recommended that collaboration between teachers, students, and stakeholders is important in developing a curriculum that combines religious and national values to strengthen student identity in the global era

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Islamic values in the traditional Bubus healing practices of the Sasak people of Lombok as a form of local wisdom that combines medical, spiritual, and cultural dimensions. Bubus is a concoction made from rice starch and wild plants that is processed into pills, then dissolved in water and sprinkled over the patient's entire body while reciting a Sasak mantra that begins with the basmalah. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. The primary data sources are three belian from Montong Baan Selatan Village, Terara Village, and Darmasari Village, plus local religious and traditional leaders as secondary data. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that Bubus is not merely a traditional medical practice, but rather a knowledge system that organically combines the values of tawakkal (trust in God), syukur (gratitude), amanah (trustworthiness), and rahmatan lil alamin (mercy for all creation) in a single healing ritual. This study confirms that Islam has naturally integrated into the local wisdom of the Sasak people, making Bubus a medium for Islamic character education that is alive in the community.

Abstract

The conceptualization of Pancasila as Indonesia’s state ideology often oscillates between being a political umbrella and a potential civil religion. This debate has intensified as global populism and religious conservatism challenge the traditional boundaries of national identity. This study aims to philosophically and sociologically investigate whether Pancasila functions as a substitute for traditional faiths or strictly as a protector of religious pluralism (a neutral arbiter). Employing a qualitative approach with a phenomenological-hermeneutic design, this research was conducted between January to December 2024 across three strategic loci: Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Manado. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews with 15 key informants. The findings reveal a Third Way paradigm: Pancasila does not substitute the transcendental essence of traditional religions but acts as a Sacred Civic Framework. The novelty of this research lies in the discovery of Civic-Religious Synchronicity, where Pancasila facilitates the sacralization of civic duties without secularizing the faith itself, effectively preventing the totalitarianism of belief often found in theocracies. This study implies that strengthening Pancasila as a Protector rather than a Substitute is vital for democratic resilience.
