Abstract

This research and development aims to describe the development process, feasibility and students' responses to snake and ladder augmented reality (SLAR) media in the science and sciences subject on the topic of plant reproduction in class IV elementary school. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) research method with the ADDIE development model. This research uses data collection techniques of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through descriptive analysis based on Likert and Guttman scales with interpretation referring to Riduwan's criteria. The subjects in this research were 30 class IV students at SDN Serang 3 for the 2024/2025 academic year.  Based on the results of the product validation assessment, media expert validation obtained an average score of 86.87% with the criteria "very feasible", material expert validation obtained an average score of 91.81% with the criteria "very feasible", and language expert validation obtained an average -average score 86.25% with "very feasible" criteria. So the overall percentage of product feasibility was 88.31% with very feasible criteria and student responses obtained a percentage of 99.44% with "very good" criteria. Thus, snake and ladder augmented reality (SLAR) media in the science and sciences subject on the topic of plant reproduction in class IV elementary school is very feasible and gets a very good response from students. So the media developed is very suitable for use in the learning process in class IV elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe  improvement IPAS learning outcomes for class V students through the application of the QR code-based snakes and ladders game. The QR code-based snakes and ladders game is a visual learning media that can support learning through collaboration with games. This research uses the classroom action research method consists of two cycles, each divided two meetings which planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Research subjects fifth grade students, with data collection techniques using interview, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the research showed increase IPAS learning outcomes in IPAS understanding element, cycle I, classical completeness reached 53% "Enough," criteria in cycle II it increased to 82% "Very Good." criteria. The process skills element, learning outcomes also increased from 63% "Good" criteria in cycle I to 80% "Very Good" criteria in cycle II. Based on the research results, can be concluded that TGT learning model with help of the QR code-based snakes and ladders game can improve students IPAS learning outcomes.

Abstract

The quality of learning can be seen from a teacher being able to understand and apply the competencies that should be mastered by teaching staff. As science and technology develop, teachers are required to be able to develop computer competencies and skills, the use of information and communication technology, one of which is skills in creating learning media. Using media can also help students not get bored in learning and can involve students in learning activities in class. During the learning process teachers only use conventional media such as theme books and media in the form of images, therefore a variety of learning media is needed. This research aims to determine the development and feasibility of video media using the Camtasia application for material on types of thematic learning work for class IV elementary schools. Researchers used the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D (Four-D) model define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research results that show the feasibility of developing video media are based on the assessment of media experts and material experts. The assessment results from the two media expert validators received a score of 89%, including the "Very Eligible" criteria. The material validation results obtained a score of 88%, including the "Very Eligible" criteria. Then students were asked to respond to the media used in the learning process to get a score of 90.6% in the "Very Good" category. Based on the results above, the learning video media using the Camtasia application on materials on types of thematic learning work for class IV elementary schools is categorized as suitable for use as a learning media.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using sandpaper letter learning media using the Montessori method in overcoming difficulties in reading and learning letters in children aged 3 to 6 years. The method used is descriptive qualitative, which produces data in descriptive form. Which is in the form of written information from the subject who has been observed. The research subjects were 3 children aged 3 to 6 years. This research involves the stages of preparation, implementation and data analysis. The data analysis method used is critical analysis techniques, and data collection techniques used include interviews, observation and documentation. The research results obtained show that the use of sandpaper letter media in the Montessori method has an effect in overcoming difficulties in reading and learning letters in children aged 3 to 6 years. This highlights the importance of using learning media that is appropriate to the difficulties faced by children in reading.

Abstract

Education plays an essential role in shaping a generation of individuals with strong character, including instilling independence from an early age. Independent character is a crucial foundation for building responsible, disciplined, and integrity-driven individuals. This study aims to analyze the strengthening of independent character through habituation activities in the school environment for fourth-grade students at SDN Gunungdatar, Pandeglang. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with the research subjects being fourth-grade teachers and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman method, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that habituation activities, such as reciting prayers, performing class duties, and completing tasks independently, have successfully created a conducive learning environment. Teachers serve as role models, while support from schools and parents strengthens these habituation activities. Challenges include the lack of parental involvement and limited school facilities. Nevertheless, the impact is significant, with students becoming more independent, responsible, and capable of completing tasks without relying on others. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration among teachers, parents, and schools in fostering independent character through sustainable habituation programs, making a tangible contribution to character education for students.

Abstract

The compulsory education program aims to ensure that every citizen receives a proper basic education. However, the implementation of this program faces various challenges, especially related to the perception of teachers as the main actors in implementing education policies. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2023, Papua Province has the lowest Average Years of Schooling (RLS). This research aims to obtain an overview of the perceptions of teachers in Papua towards the 12 -year compulsory education program and the factors that influence their views. The research method used is a mixed methods sequential explanatory model. The respondents in the research were 20 teachers who taught in various regions in Papua. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and interviews. The research results show that teachers have a fairly good understanding of the 12 yearcompulsory education program. The teachers recommended several suggestions to increase the effectiveness of the 12-year compulsory education program, such as: building boarding schools, intensive training for teachers, socialization of the program involving community leaders, and a curriculum based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Teaching materials are a supporting element for part of the learning process. The limitations of digital thematic teaching materials based on local culture for students in schools are the background for this research. The aim of this research is to produce digital thematic teaching materials based on local culture, especially for grade 2 elementary schools, so the students can enjoy and feel at ease when participating in thematic learning at school. The method applied in the research and development method, referring to the five stages of ADDIE, namely (1) analyzing needs (analysis), (2) designing digital thematic teaching materials based on local culture (design), (3) developing digital thematic teaching materials based on local culture (development), (4) testing digital thematic teaching materials based on local culture (implementation), (5) evaluating products (evaluation). Data collection uses techniques through interviews, observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the research can be concluded that the thematic digital teaching materials developed for grade 2 students have good material quality with a score of 83%, while the digital book design has very good quality with a score of 91,9%. This shows that digital teaching materials have very good quality so they can be used in the teaching and learning process. Apart from that, the material in the teaching materials is presented clearly and easily understood by students, is appropriate to their environment, has a positive impact and is a medium that is suitable for use.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Kudus by implementing the make a match learning model in Pancasila education subjects. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in 2 cycles. The research design was prepared based on planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were 18 grade IV students at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Kudus. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The research results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes by implementing the make a match model, in cycle I obtained a percentage of 72.22% of the criteria “good” and there was an increase in cycle II with a percentage of 88.88% of the criteria “very good”. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the make a match model in learning Pancasila education is able to improve the learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Kudus.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of the hands-on activity learning model assisted by scrapbook media on the ability to write fiction stories of class V Gugus II students, Patallassang District, Gowa Regency. The research method used was an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 62 students who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group which used the hands-on activity learning model assisted by scrapbook media and the control group which used the conventional learning model. The research instrument includes a test of the ability to write fiction stories. The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the ability to write fiction stories of experimental group students compared to the control group. Multivariate Significance Test with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that Ho is rejected. H1 is accepted, namely that there is an influence of the hands-on activity model assisted by Scrapbook media simultaneously on the ability to write fiction stories for class V students. The conclusion of this research is that the hands-on learning model on activity assisted by scrapbook media is effective in improving the ability to write fiction stories for class V students. The implication of this research is the need for teachers to adopt and integrate creative media such as scrapbooks in the learning process in order to improve the quality of education

Abstract

The transformation of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum into a strategic approach to prepare a strong and relevant generation in the digital era. This study analyzes changes in the design and implementation of a competency-based PAI curriculum to meet the demands of 21st-century competencies, such as critical thinking skills, creativity, digital literacy, and strong religious values. This research investigates how competency components can be aligned with holistic PAI principles to shape students with spiritual, moral, and social awareness. This is done using a descriptive qualitative approach. Research results show that a competency-based curriculum can provide a flexible framework to integrate technology, innovative learning approaches, and a structured Islamic values approach to prepare a generation that is not only knowledgeable in science but also moral and character-driven. With this change, the role of teachers as creative facilitators and continuous evaluators is very important to ensure that the competencies taught align with the needs and challenges of the times. According to this research, PAI teachers must be continuously trained to master the use of technology in teaching and the comprehensive development of their students' competencies.
