Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of work environment and quality of work life on employee performance, with mental health as a mediating variable among Generation Z employees in startup companies across Indonesia. The population in this research consists of Generation Z individuals working in startups throughout the country. The study employs the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to analyze the data. It investigates the significant relationships between work environment, quality of work life, employee performance, and mental health by developing a new model to illustrate the interactions among these variables. The results indicate that improvements in work environment and quality of work life can enhance the performance of Generation Z employees, especially when their mental health is well-maintained. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the factors influencing employee performance in the context of work environment and quality of work life, and provides recommendations for employees to pay greater attention to their mental health.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of net working capital and company size on cash holding in the consumer cyclicals sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The type of research used is a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis techniques. The population in this study is 166 companies in the consumer cyclicals sector listed on the IDX, then for sampling using the purposive sampling method. There were 107 samples of companies with an observation period of 3 years 2021-2023 (321 data). The type of data studied is secondary data. The data of this research was obtained from financial statements published on the official website of each company and the official website of the IDX. The results of the study show that partially net working capital has a positive and significant effect on cash holding, then company size has a negative and significant effect on cash holding.

Abstract

The provision of rewards and punishments will affect employee performance. If the rewards and punishments given are not in accordance with the rights and obligations of employees, this can reduce their performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of rewards and punishments on employee performance at Bank Nagari, Main Branch of West Sumatra. Through the sample questionnaire method using the Yamane technique, there were 163 respondents who were used as samples in this study. In the hypothesis testing that has been carried out, it can be concluded that rewards have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Bank Nagari, Main Branch of West Sumatra and punishment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Bank Nagari, Main Branch of West Sumatra.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of profitability and capital expenditure on cash holding ownership in companies engaged in the consumer cyclicals sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2021 to 2023. This study applied a quantitative approach by utilizing secondary data as many as 321 observations were used in the study, which came from 107 selected companies using purposive smapping. The data analysis process is carried out using the panel data management method. Based on the results of the model selection test carried out, the appropriate approach is the Fixed Effect Model. The findings of this study show that profitability measured through return on assets (ROA) has a positive and significant influence on cash holding. On the other hand, capital expenditure proxied with the CAPEX value shows a negative and significant influence on the cash holding owned by the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of work stress and workload on employee turnover intention at PT. Bank Nagari West Sumatra. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey research type, the sample calculation in this a sample size of 95 employees at PT. Bank Nagari West Sumatra. The data collection method used a questionnaire, the analysis tool with multiple linear regression. The results of the study concluded that partially work stress has a positive and significant effect on employee turnover intention at Bank Nagari West Sumatra. While workload does not have a significant effect on employee turnover intention at Bank Nagari West Sumatra.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and identify the influence of organizational culture and leadership on employee performance at the Wirobrajan District Office, Yogyakarta City. The independent variables examined include organizational culture (X1) and leadership (X2), while the dependent variable is employee performance (Y). A quantitative approach with an associative research type was employed. The entire population of 45 employees was used as the research sample through a saturated sampling method. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results show that both organizational culture and leadership have a positive and significant partial influence on employee performance. Simultaneously, both variables also have a significant effect on performance. The regression coefficient values indicate that organizational culture has a more dominant influence compared to leadership. Furthermore, the adjusted R² value of 55.7% indicates that the variation in employee performance can be explained by the two independent variables. A strong organizational culture and inspirational leadership have been proven to foster a productive work environment that positively impacts employee performance.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of profitability and company size on cash holding. The method in this study uses panel data regression and in collecting data using purposive sampling techniques. The main population in this study used the consumer cyclicals subsector from 166 companies and obtained a sample of 107 companies, during the research period starting in 2021-2023 so that the observation data was 321. In research cash holding is measured using cash and cash equivalents / total assets, profitability using Return on assets (ROA), company size is measured using Size. The results of this study indicate that profitability has a significant positive effect on cash holding, while company size also has a significant positive effect on cash holding.

Abstract

In a dynamic and competitive business environment, companies are required to manage financial aspects effectively, especially in determining credit policies. This study aims to analyze the role of receivables management, early payment discounts, and interest rates in determining the company's credit policy. The method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study based on secondary data, including receivables data from five large financial companies in Indonesia and Bank Indonesia's benchmark interest rate during 2022 to 2024. The results of the study show that despite a significant increase in interest rates, all companies were still able to increase the value of their receivables. Strategies such as providing early payment discounts have proven effective in accelerating cash flow and maintaining the quality of receivables.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of employer branding and compensation on job application interest among Generation Z in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The background of this research is the phenomenon known as the "War for Talent," which refers to the competition among companies to attract the best talent. Currently, the workforce is dominated by Generation Z, which brings unique characteristics and job expectations, requiring companies to adopt strategies and understand the factors that can attract top talent. This research employs a quantitative approach. The type and source of data used are primary data. The population in this study consists of Generation Z individuals in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The sample size includes 100 respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Employer branding has a positive and significant partial effect on job application interest (Y) among Generation Z in the Special Region of Yogyakarta; (2) Compensation has a positive and significant partial effect on job application interest (Y) among Generation Z in the Special Region of Yogyakarta; and (3) Employer branding and compensation (X2), collectively, have a positive and significant effect on job application interest (Y) among Generation Z in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the recruitment and selection process at PT. Wijaya Kusumo Joyo Mulyo, an outsourcing service company. A qualitative approach was used, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the recruitment process consists of several stages: receiving job requests, job posting, administrative selection, interviews, psychological tests, and onboarding. However, challenges arise such as difficulty in finding qualified candidates, ineffective job postings, and candidates resigning shortly after hiring due to mismatched expectations. Solutions implemented include stricter screening, targeted job advertisements, and presenting real work conditions through video during interviews. This research is expected to contribute to improving recruitment effectiveness in outsourcing companies.
