Abstract

A healthy house is understood as a form of housing designed to support the improvement of its occupants’ health standards. Thus, it can be said that a healthy home is a building for shelter and rest. To realize a house that can function properly, a healthy, safe, harmonious, and well-organized housing environment is required. The purpose of this assistance is to increase insight, knowledge, and improve understanding, regarding healthy, habitable homes and legal awareness regarding home ownership, in order to realize healthy and decent housing governance. The Sawah Baru Village area located in Ciputat District, South Tangerang City is the location for implementing healthy and habitable home assistance activities with the selection of target participants being residents of the Villa Mutiara Housing Complex. This community service program consists of a series of educational activities to provide knowledge and assistance. This stage begins with monitoring and evaluation activities to assess the initial impact of the socialization that has been carried out. This activity includes direct observation of the residents' residential environment and data collection regarding changes in knowledge and behavior related to healthy homes

Abstract

Learning Midwifery practice learning requires media that closely resemble real conditions so that students can optimally develop their clinical skills. The innovation of the SMARTHOM (Smart Phantom) device was developed as a labor delivery simulator based on electromechanical systems and the Internet of Things (IoT), designed to enhance the learning experience in the laboratory. The aim of this study was to determine the feasibility level of the SMARTHOM device as a learning medium for childbirth simulation among midwifery students. This research employed a descriptive approach with a trial method involving 15 midwifery students from Faletehan University. The instrument used was the System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess user satisfaction and ease of use of both the application and the simulator device. The results showed an average score of 84.3, which falls under the “highly feasible” category. The highest-rated aspects included ease of use and the functional suitability of the device with the stages of the childbirth process. Overall, the findings indicate that SMARTHOM is effective as a midwifery laboratory learning medium and has great potential for further development into interactive digital learning.

Abstract

This study investigates a participatory collaboration model in community service at Sugihen Village by integrating educational and religious programs. Using a qualitative case study approach during a community service program (July–September 2025), data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that educational programs, such as financial literacy, anti-bullying seminars, and tutoring, alongside religious activities like Qur’an recitation and Islamic festivals, significantly improved practical skills, moral values, and social cohesion among community members. Active community participation was found to foster shared ownership, creating a sense of responsibility and ensuring sustainability. The collaborative approach not only empowered individuals but also strengthened the social fabric of the village, promoting community engagement in both educational and religious activities. The model demonstrates its effectiveness in enhancing human resource capacity holistically. Moreover, it is replicable in other rural contexts, offering a sustainable framework for community development through the integration of education and religious practices.

Abstract

The increasing population and human activities have significantly contributed to the rise in waste volume across Indonesia, including in Mojokerto Regency. One of the areas facing this challenge is the Karangdieng Final Processing Site (TPA) in Kutorejo District. In the midst of limited infrastructure and the lack of effective formal policies, waste pickers emerge as key social actors who contribute to waste reduction through the sorting of recyclable materials. This study aims to examine the involvement of waste pickers in waste management at the Karangdieng landfill and to identify the challenges they face in their daily activities. A qualitative research approach was employed, using purposive sampling to select four waste pickers and one landfill worker as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, and were analyzed descriptively by applying the symbolic interactionism perspective. The findings reveal that waste pickers play a significant role in reducing waste accumulation and supporting recycling practices while also fostering social solidarity within their community. However, they encounter various challenges, including low and unstable income, occupational health and safety risks, polluted working environments, and limited access to social protection and basic services.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as a digital payment innovation for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Serbananti Village, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The background of this study is the low level of digital literacy and the still high level of cash transactions, which causes MSMEs to face obstacles in efficiency and market access. The purpose of this study is to explore the QRIS adoption process, identify the challenges faced, and assess its impact on increasing transactions and customer satisfaction. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with observation, interviews, and direct coaching techniques for MSMEs. The research findings indicate that the implementation of QRIS through the OVO application has facilitated payment transactions, increased consumer trust, and expanded the market. However, there are obstacles that arise, such as inadequate internet infrastructure, limited device availability, low digital literacy levels, and negative views regarding discount fees (MDR). These results underscore the fact that the success of QRIS implementation depends not only on technology, but also on continuous education, infrastructure support, and incentive policies that support MSMEs.

Abstract

Nutritional problems remain a major public health issue in Kupang City, particularly in the working area of the Manutapen Public Health Center. The low level of community knowledge, especially among housewives and Posyandu cadres, regarding the processing of nutritious local food is one of the main factors contributing to the high prevalence of stunting and undernutrition among children. Meanwhile, the coastal area of Kupang has abundant fish resources that are available throughout the year. However, the utilization of fish as a local food ingredient remains limited to simple traditional preparations such as frying or boiling, which have not yet optimized its nutritional and economic potential. This community service activity was carried out to enhance the capacity and self-reliance of the community through the empowerment of housewives and Posyandu cadres. The training activities included education on balanced nutrition, cooking demonstrations, and hands-on practice in preparing various fish-based products such as nuggets, meatballs, and shredded fish. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge, skills, and motivation to use fish as a nutritious, healthy, and economically valuable local food source. Furthermore, many participants expressed interest in developing fish-based products as home-based businesses, which could potentially increase household income and strengthen local food security in the community.

Abstract

This community service program was implemented to empower the Srikandi Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Karangmalang Village, Mijen District, Semarang City, by increasing their capacity to produce and market organic vegetables. This activity aims to strengthen the technical capabilities of group members in organic hydroponic cultivation and expand market access through the application of digital marketing. The implementation methods include preparation, training and practice in Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponic cultivation, social media-based digital marketing training, as well as evaluation and ongoing assistance. The results of the activity showed a 70.6% increase in participants' competence, with the main indicators of success being the ability to assemble hydroponic installations, manage production independently, and market products digitally under the “Srikandi Fresh” brand. In addition to increasing productivity and economic value, this activity also fostered new awareness of sustainable agriculture, strengthened group solidarity, and gave rise to local leadership that is adaptive to modern agricultural technology. This activity has positive implications for strengthening the role of women in local food security based on organic agriculture and the digital economy.

Abstract

This community engagement program demonstrated how the digitalization of payment systems and branding strategies can enhance the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia’s growing digital economy. The program analyzed the implementation of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) at Kasih Ibu Pharmacy and the branding development process through the creation of the MSME business name Herawati Cake. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study collected data through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving business owners and customers.The implementation of QRIS significantly improved transaction efficiency, transparency, and convenience, while promoting financial inclusion and aligning with SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Concurrently, the branding initiative through the name Herawati Cake strengthened the enterprise’s business identity, enhanced consumer trust, and contributed to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by supporting sustainable local entrepreneurship.Overall, this community engagement activity provided empirical evidence that digital payment adoption and strategic branding serve as practical instruments for MSMEs to adapt to technological change, increase customer engagement, and actively contribute to Indonesia’s sustainable development goals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of community service visit activities on school management management at the RA Al-Ikhlas Education Foundation, Tanah Thousand Village, South Binjai District. This research uses a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods that are carried out for four days, namely Monday to Thursday in 2025. The research subjects consisted of three principals and teachers, with a total of 20 students and three active classes. The results of the study show that community service visit activities have a positive impact on improving school administrative governance, teacher discipline, and collaboration between schools and the community. These activities also help schools in improving the documentation system, learning, and strengthening teachers' morale in managing the classroom. In addition, the results of the interviews showed an increase in teachers' ability to set schedules, prepare learning tools, and document activities systematically. Thus, it can be concluded that community service visits play an important role in strengthening school management through improving teacher competence and optimizing educational institutional functions.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to introduce the English pronunciation method through the use of phonetic sound symbols known as the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). The target of the activity was students of the Medical Laboratory Technology Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan. The main focus of the activity was to convey that the differences between spelling and pronunciation in English can be bridged with a consistent mastery of phonetic symbols. The methods used include counseling on sound variations in English words as well as short training with pronunciation drilling techniques on words that have foreign sounds for Indonesian speakers. This activity is designed to improve participants' phonological awareness and pronunciation skills in a practical and fun way. The results of the evaluation showed that participants gave very positive responses, assessing this activity as a rewarding and engaging experience. This activity is expected to be an educational model in strengthening English phonetic competence, especially for non-language students. In the future, this phonetic approach can be further developed in profession-based foreign language learning curricula to improve the accuracy of cross-cultural and professional communication.
