Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing phenomenon of impulsive buying in online fashion products influenced by customer reviews and price discounts in the digital era. The study aims to analyze the effect of customer reviews and price discounts on impulsive buying behavior with lifestyle as an intervening variable. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method involving 140 respondents who were e-commerce users in Makassar City. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique. The results reveal that customer reviews and price discounts have a positive and significant effect on lifestyle and impulsive buying. Furthermore, lifestyle is proven to mediate the relationship between customer reviews and price discounts toward impulsive buying behavior. The findings indicate that higher quality reviews and more attractive discounts offer strengthen consumers' tendencies to make impulsive purchases. This research contributes to the development of digital marketing strategies by emphasizing the importance of review credibility and price discount programs as key factors influencing consumers' lifestyle patterns and impulsive buying behavior, particularly among younger generations who are active online shoppers in the e-commerce era.

Abstract

Physical education in elementary schools plays a crucial role in developing students' basic motor skills, including dribbling in basketball. However, conventional teaching methods often hinder the achievement of optimal learning outcomes. This study aims to analyse the effect of implementing audiovisual learning technology on students' learning outcomes in basic basketball dribbling skills among third-grade elementary students. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: the experimental group (using audiovisual media) and the control group (using conventional methods), each consisting of 24 students. The instruments used included a basketball dribbling skill test and a learning activity observation sheet. Data analysis using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test was conducted. The analysis revealed a significant difference in learning outcomes between students taught with audiovisual media and those taught with conventional methods (p < 0.05). The experimental group showed a significantly higher improvement in learning outcomes. These findings affirm that audiovisual technology can provide a more interactive and effective learning experience, particularly in motor skill development. This study recommends the integration of audiovisual media into physical education strategies to better meet the contextual needs of digital-native learners, highlighting the innovative use of audiovisual technology as a more effective tool in motor skill education compared to conventional teaching methods.

Abstract

Background The rise of digital technology has led to a higher prevalence of online game addiction, particularly among university students. This phenomenon is believed to influence several aspects of student lifestyle, including screen time, physical activity, junk food consumption, and overall nutritional status. Objective This study aims to analyze the relationship between online game addiction and variables such as screen time, physical activity levels, junk food consumption, and nutritional status among students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Method A cross-sectional approach was employed, involving 82 students chosen proportionally from nine faculties at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Data were gathered using the Game Addiction Scale, a screen time questionnaire (QUEST), a Food Frequency Questionnaire for junk food, and BMI calculations to assess nutritional status. The collected information was analyzed with the Spearman correlation test. Results The findings revealed a significant negative correlation between online game addiction and physical activity levels (p = 0.020; r = -0.256). However, no direct association was observed between online game addiction and screen time, junk food consumption, or nutritional status. Conclusion Students exhibiting signs of online game addiction are more likely to have lower physical activity levels. However, the addiction does not directly impact screen time, unhealthy food consumption, or individual nutritional status.

Abstract

The issue of waste in urban areas, particularly in rapidly growing cities like Pekanbaru, has become a significant challenge for sustainable development. Waste composition is dominated by household waste, food scraps, plastics, paper, and waste from the trade and service sectors. This study aims to explore waste management in Pekanbaru City through the lens of networking governance, focusing on collaboration among various stakeholders. The research questions address who the key actors in waste management are, their roles, relationships, and the dynamics of networking governance. Additionally, it investigates the obstacles faced by the system and efforts to overcome these challenges. According to the 2024 DLHK report, the city's waste collection capacity is only able to handle 70% of daily waste, with the remaining waste accumulating in temporary storage areas, drainage systems, and vacant lots, creating environmental and public health risks. By mid-2025, Pekanbaru's waste management will rely heavily on third-party contractors. Using qualitative methods and a phenomenological approach based on Klijn and Koppenjan’s (2016) Network Governance theory, this research will examine networking management, actors, interdependencies, institutional features, and the interactions involved. The findings are expected to provide data-driven policy recommendations for improving waste management in a sustainable, equitable manner. The research will also contribute scientific outputs in the form of indexed articles, comprehensive monographs, policy briefs, and documentary videos documenting the research activities.
