Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of expressive speech acts of people with Down syndrome. The type of research conducted in this research is qualitative. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method. This research was conducted at SLB Negeri 1 Alahan Panjang, Lembah Gumanti sub-district, Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province. This research is focused on Syarifah's speech acts in SLB Negeri 1 Alahan Panjang. The main informant in this study is Syarifah because she is a patient with Down syndrome. The data collection technique uses the proficient method. The data validation technique uses triangulation. Data analysis techniques Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman (2014) model consists of data reduction, presentation of informal data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are five analyzes of expressive speech acts, including: 1) thanking, 2) congratulating, 3) forgiving, 4) blaming, and 5) praising.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan metode Picture and Picture terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Lintau Buo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperimental Design dalam bentuk posstest-only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA 2 Lintau Buo yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022 berjumlah 145 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI 1 dan XI 2. Variabel X yaitu metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture, sedangkan (variabel Y) yaitu kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan tes unjuk kerja. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini adalah skor dari hasil tes siswa. Hasil dari penelitian adalah terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Lintau Buo karena thitung>ttabel (3,306>1,671), sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Lintau Buo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa hal berikut ini. Pertama, kurangnya minat siswa dalam menulis. Kedua, siswa kesulitan dalam mengembangkan ide pokok mengenai materi yang diberikan. Ketiga, siswa sulit memahami kaidah kebahasaan saat menulis teks prosedur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Pertama, mendeskripsikan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur sebelum menggunakan model picture and picture siswa kelas XI SMAN 3 Padang. Kedua, mendeskripsikan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur sesudah menggunakan model picture and picture siswa kelas XI SMAN 3 Padang. Ketiga, mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan model picture and picture terhadap keterampilan menulis teks prosedur pada siswa Kelas XI SMAN 3 Padang Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Desain penelitian ini adalah One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Padang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI yang berjumlah 30 orang. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah skor keterampilan menulis teks prosedur sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut ini. Pertama, keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Padang sebelum menggunakan model Picture and Picture memperoleh nilai 83,89 berada pada rentangan 76-85% dengan kualifikasi baik. Kedua, keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Padang seseudah menggunakan model Picture and Picture memperoleh nilai 89,81 berada pada rentangan 86-95% dengan kualifikasi baik sekali. Ketiga, berdasarkan uji-t terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model Picture and Picture terhadap keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Padang karena thitung= 4,54 dan ttabel= 1,67 (4,54>1,67), jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis teks posedur siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using the Think-Talk-Write technique on the news writing skills of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research, the method uses the pre-experimental method with the one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all eight graders of SMPN 17 Padang consisting of eight classes, namely VIII.a, VIII.b, VIII.c, VIII.d, VIII.e, VIII.f, VIII.g, VIII.h and the sample class in this study is class VIII.f. The X variable is the Think Talk Write technique, while the Y variable is the ability to write news texts. The research instrument used is the test. Data collection techniques by providing performance tests. The results of learning to write news texts for Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang before and after using the Think Talk Write technique are then interpreted based on arithmetic averages. The results of this study are that there is an effect of using news texts for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang before using the Think Talk Write technique because tcount = 3.17 and ttable = 1.71 The criteria for testing t are accepted if tcount>ttable, in other words H1 is accepted and H0 rejected.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the ability to understand procedural texts for class VII students of the Padang Thawalib Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is quantitative. This research method is descriptive method. The subjects of this study were class VII students at the Thawalib Padang Islamic Boarding School who were enrolled in 2022/2023 with a total of 58 people. The instrument used in this study is a multiple choice test. The data analysis technique used in this study was to analyze the data obtained from the structure and language reading tests of students' procedural texts by reading and checking student work according to the grid studied, then processing scores into scores using the percentage formula. The next step is to classify students' ability to read procedural texts by using the ability to understand grade VII students of the Thawalib Islamic Boarding School in Padang using a scale of 10. Presenting the values ​​obtained into a frequency distribution table. Finally discuss the results of the analysis and make conclusions. The result of this research is that students' ability to understand procedural text is good enough, this can be seen from the results obtained by students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of modeling techniques on the skills of writing explanatory texts for class VIII.1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Anai. This type of research is quantitative research. This research method is experimental research. The research design used is the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were class VIII students of SMPN 1 Batang Anai for the 2021/2022 academic year, totaling 240 people consisting of 8 classes. The sample in this study was class VIII.1. The independent variable is modeling techniques while the dependent variable is writing explanatory text. The instrument used in this research is a performance test. namely the performance test of writing explanatory text. The results of this study are because tcount>ttable (5.13> 1.70) so that the use of Modeling Techniques influences the writing skills of explanatory texts for class VIII.1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Anai.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of using the example non-example model on the procedural text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 16 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research. The method used is the experimental method. The research design used is the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research is class XI students of SMA Negeri 16 Padang for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample in this research is class XI MIPA 3. The independent variable is the example non-example model, while the dependent variable is writing procedure text. The instrument used in this study was a performance test, namely a performance test for writing procedural texts. Data collection in this research was carried out in three meetings, pre-test, treatment and post-test. The results of this study are that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus the use of the Example Non Example model affects the skills of writing procedure texts for class XI students of SMA Negeri 16 Padang.

Abstract

Describe the form of directive speech acts of Indonesian teachers for class VIII in the teaching and learning process at SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Beremas. The type of research used in this research is a qualitative type. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of directive speech acts of Indonesian teachers at SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Beremas in the teaching and learning process. The data source for this research is the speech of an Indonesian language teacher during the teaching and learning process from the beginning to the end of the lesson. research instruments used in research are recording devices such as; cellphone. For notes such as; pen, paper, or small notes, and other writing tools The data collection stage in this study used the listening or listening method. The data validation technique used in this study is a detailed description. The results of this study First, the form of directive speech acts used by teachers in learning at SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Beremas, there are five forms, namely, directive speech acts ordering, speech acts begging, directive speech acts suggesting, directive speech acts asking questions, directive speech acts prohibiting . Second, from the utterances that have been analyzed in SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Beremas the most dominant utterance or the most frequently used by the teacher in learning is the directive act of asking questions.

Abstract

he purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between critical reading ability and the ability to write expository texts for class X students of SMA N 3 Solok Selatan. This type of research is quantitative research using correlational methods. The sampling technique for this research was purposive sampling technique. Sampling is done based on the class that has the lowest standard deviation. The research sample is one class, namely class X-2, totaling 32 people. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires and performance tests. The questionnaire was used to collect students' critical reading scores while the performance test was used to collect exposition text writing skills scores. Based on the research results, the following conclusions can be drawn: First, the critical reading ability of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan obtained an average score of 75.84 in the range of 76-85% on a scale of 10, with a Good qualification (B). Second, the ability to write expository texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan obtained an average score of 78.33 in the range of 76-85% on a scale of 10, with a Good qualification (B). Third, there is a significant relationship between vocabulary mastery and the ability to write exposition texts of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan. This shows that critical reading skills affect students in writing expository texts. This can be seen from the test results which prove that tcount > from ttable, namely 4,86 > 1.70.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi telah berhasil membawa perubahan besar dalam sistem pendidikan. Perubahan tersebut terjadi di dunia Pendidikan seperti perubahan cara belajar, pola berpikir, dan ide kreatif siswa. Salah satu aspek yang banyak menarik perhatian adalah integrasi teknologi dalam proses belajar mengajar seperti implementasi media dan aplikasi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Inggris melalui aplikasi Quizizz. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 2 Mataram tahun ajaran 2022/2023 pada kelas XI MIPA 2 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 36 orang. PTK ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui tes hasil belajar, observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh, ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa terus meningkat dengan persentase ketuntasan yaitu pra siklus 25%, siklus I 58%, dan siklus II 92%. Sedangkan persentase nilai siswa yang tidak tuntas mengalami penurunan dari 75% - 42% - 8%. Sehingga dari persentase tersebut peneliti menarik kesimpulan bahwa Implementasi aplikasi Quizizz secara signifikan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa.
