Abstract

This study aims to analyze (1) the business profile of layer breed chicken farm in Langngottong Tajuddin Farm, Baula District, Kolaka Regency, (2) analyze the income of layer breed chicken farm in Langngottong Tajuddin Farm, Baula District, Kolaka Regency and (3) determine the feasibility of Langngottong Tajuddin Farm layer breed chicken farm based on R/C and B/C analysis. The location of this research was Langngottong Tajuddin Farm, Baula District, Kolaka Regency. Purposive sampling was used to select the location. Data collection is done by observation, conducting interviews and documentation. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. The analysis method used is income analysis, R/C ratio analysis and B/C ratio analysis. The results showed that the income obtained by Langngottong Tajuddin Farm's livestock business amounted to Rp743,819,333 per period. R/C Ratio value of 1.07 or > 1, then the business is feasible to run. While the B / C Ratio value is 0.07 or> 0, then the business is feasible to run.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara tropis yang sering kali dihadapkan pada masalah rendahnya kualitas dan ketersediaan bahan pakan di saat musim kemarau. Alternatif yang dapat diambil adalah dengan pemberian pakan suplemen. Oleh karena itu Urea Molases Blok (UMB) merupakan salah satu pakan suplemen yang bisa diberikan oleh peternak kepada ternaknya sebagai pakan tambahan untuk pemenuhan nutrisi pada ternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas fisik Urea Molasses Block (UMB) yang diberi bahan pengisi tepung daun singkong sebagai subtitusi dedak padi. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL terdiri dari 4 perlakuan (P0 : 100% Dedak Padi, P1 : 75% Dedak Padi + 25% Tepung Daun Singkong, P2 : 50% Dedak Padi + 50% Tepung Daun Singkong dan P3 : 25% Dedak Padi + 75% Tepung Daun Singkong) dan 5 ulangan. Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah, kualitas fisik (Warna, aroma, tekstur) dan palatabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung daun singkong sebagai subtitusi dedak padi berpengaruh sangat nyata (P< 0,01) terhadap peningkatan skor warna dengan skor tertinggi pada perlakuan 25% Dedak Padi + 75% Tepung Daun Singkong. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah, subtitusi dedak padi dengan tepung daun singkong pada urea molases blok dapat memperbaiki kualitas fisik dari warna UMB, tetapi belum mampu meningkatkan kualitas aroma dan tekstur serta palatabilitas UMB.

Abstract

Selada (Lactuca sativa L.) memiliki nilai jual tinggi dan kaya akan gizi, bermanfaat untuk kesehatan dan kecantikan. Di Desa Bali Sadhar Utara, permintaan selada meningkat, namun belum ada budidaya lokal, memberikan peluang bagi petani untuk memproduksinya. Pupuk organik, termasuk pupuk organik cair (POC) dari limbah rumah tangga seperti air cucian beras, dapat meningkatkan kualitas tanah dan mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman. Pupuk ini efektif memperbaiki struktur tanah, meningkatkan serapan unsur hara, dan mendukung kehidupan mikroorganisme tanah yang menguntungkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair (POC) berbahan dasar air cucian beras terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan 5 perlakuan dosis POC, yaitu P0 (kontrol), P1 (25% POC), P2 (50% POC), P3 (75% POC), dan P4 (100% POC), yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali, menghasilkan 15 satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian POC air cucian beras memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan berat tanaman selada. Perlakuan P1 (25% POC) memberikan hasil terbaik, dengan rata-rata berat tanaman selada mencapai 40,57 gram, diikuti dengan peningkatan tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun yang optimal. Sebaliknya, pemberian POC dengan konsentrasi lebih tinggi (P4) menyebabkan penurunan hasil produksi, dengan berat tanaman yang lebih rendah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dosis POC air cucian beras yang paling efektif untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada adalah P1 (25%). Oleh karena itu, penggunaan POC dengan dosis rendah dapat menjadi alternatif pupuk yang ramah lingkungan untuk mendukung produksi selada secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pawn is a right given to a person who is in debt for a movable or immovable property, such as a car, a car, a rice field, or a house, which is given to him by a debtor or by another person on his behalf. In Varia Agung Village, Seputih Mataram District, Central Lampung Regency, agricultural land pawn agreements are usually made verbally without any agreement on paper between the pawnbroker (rahin) and the pawn recipient (murtahin). In general, the distribution of results between the pawnbroker and the pawn recipient is based only on trust between one another. In the agreement, there are rights and obligations. This research was conducted in Varia Agung Village, Seputih Mataram District, Central Lampung Regency. The population in this study were the pawnbrokers (rahin) and pawn recipients (pawn recipients) in Varia Agung Village, Seputih Mataram District, Central Lampung Regency. The sample in this study was simple random sampling, namely the sampling method was carried out randomly without considering status. The researcher took a sample of 14 consisting of 7 pawners and 7 pawn recipients in Varia Agung Village, Seputih Mataram District, Central Lampung Regency. The data analysis used in this study is qualitative descriptive research, which is a type of research obtained from field studies, then using the field data (interviews) as the main data source. Most farmers practice land pawning due to financial constraints and to finance their children's education. The practice of pawning in Varia Agung Village is more colored by customs which are customs passed down from their predecessors. The practice of land pawning in Varia Agung Village, Seputih Mataram District, Central Lampung Regency is in accordance with the pillars and requirements of pawning according to Islam, but when viewed from the use of collateral, it is not in accordance with the principles of pawning according to Islam, because it gives rise to injustice between al-rahin and al-murtahin.

Abstract

Tanaman karet (Hevea brasiliensis) merupakan komoditas penghasil lateks yang penting dalam industri perkebunan di Indonesia. Produksi lateks merupakan proses yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, diantaranya adalah waktu penyadapan yang tepat dan klon tanaman karet yang digunakan. Kedua faktor ini sangat penting dalam menentukan kuantitas dan kualitas lateks yang dihasilkan dari tanaman karet. Penyadapan yang dilakukan pada waktu yang tidak tepat dapat mengurangi hasil lateks yang diperoleh, sementara pemilihan klon yang tidak sesuai dengan kondisi iklim dan lingkungan juga dapat memengaruhi produktivitas secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan waktu penyadapan yang tepat pada beberapa klon tanaman karet di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada memaksimalkan hasil volume lateks. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (randomized block design) pada variasi waktu penyadapan yang berbeda sebagai perlakuan. Tanaman karet yang yang digunakan adalah klon PR300 dan PB260. Setiap klon dievaluasi waktu penyadapan yang berbeda-beda, yaitu pukul 03:30 WIB., 05:00 WIB dan 06:30 WIB. Parameter yang diamati yaitu kecepatan aliran lateks per satuan waktu dan volume lateks dengan satuan volume per pohon per rotasi penyadapan. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis of varian (ANOVA) kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata terkecil BNT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan waktu penyadapan yang terbaik untuk menghasilkan produktivitas yang optimal adalah pukul 05.00 WIB untuk klon PR300 dan PB260.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of different ages on Thin-tailed Sheep (Ovis aries) on the quality of fresh semen macroscopically and microscopically. The study was conducted in July 2023 at the Teaching Farm, Animal Husbandry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung in the form of a case study with two age groups, namely 8-12 months (P1) and 13-18 months (P2) as many as 5 animals per age group. Observation variables are 1) macroscopic quality of semen (color, odor, pH, consistency, and volume of semen); 2) microscopic quality of semen (mass movement and motility of individual spermatozoa). Semen collection uses a special artificial vagina for Kruuser sheep. Assessment of color, odor, consistency of semen, and mass movement of spermatozoa through observation and quantification by scoring; pH using paper indicator strips; semen volume by looking at the numbers on the scale tube; mass movement and motility of individual spermatozoa through subjective assessment under a Leica DM750 binocular light microscope. Data for each variable between age groups are presented in the table of averages ± SD. Data analysis was performed statistically by comparing the two age treatment groups with the Independent Sample T-test statistical model at a 95% confidence level using SPSS series 24.0. The results showed no significant difference (P>0.05) between different age groups. The conclusion of the study is that Thin-tailed Sheep (Ovis aries) at the Teaching Farm of the Animal Husbandry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung at the age range of 8-18 months produce the same fresh semen quality macroscopically and microscopically, with a tendency to produce higher fresh semen quality in the 13-18 month age group.

Abstract

The low consumption of vegetables in Indonesia and the increasing need for environmentally friendly urban farming solutions are important challenges in realizing a healthy and sustainable diet. Microgreens present an innovative alternative that is not only highly nutritious, but also easy to cultivate at various scales, including in the household environment. This study aims to analyze the nutritional content and bioactive compounds in various types of microgreens and evaluate their health benefits and potential as a functional food source. In addition, this study also illustrates the ease of cultivating microgreens as part of sustainable urban agriculture. The method used was a literature study with a systematic literature review approach of scientific sources published in 2016-2024, such as accredited journals, reference books, and research reports. The results showed that microgreens contain high levels of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, and have a short harvest period and minimal land requirements. The use of technologies such as LED lighting, suitable growing media and high-quality seeds greatly influence the success of cultivation. Despite challenges in distribution and product durability, microgreens hold promise as a functional food that supports food security, nutrition education and healthy lifestyles in urban areas.

Abstract

Perubahan iklim yang terjadi secara global telah memicu berbagai bentuk anomali cuaca yang tidak hanya mengganggu kestabilan ekosistem, tetapi juga berdampak negatif secara langsung terhadap sektor pertanian. Salah satu dampak yang paling nyata adalah meningkatnya intensitas serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman, terutama hama seperti Wereng Batang Coklat (Nilaparvata lugens), yang dikenal sebagai salah satu hama utama pada tanaman padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara lebih mendalam hubungan antara fenomena anomali iklim, khususnya kejadian El Niño dan La Niña, dengan tingkat serangan wereng batang coklat di wilayah Kabupaten Pringsewu, Provinsi Lampung. Metodologi yang diterapkan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pemanfaatan data sekunder, termasuk data iklim dari Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) serta data serangan hama dari Dinas Pertanian setempat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa adanya pergeseran pola iklim yang ekstrem secara signifikan memengaruhi dinamika populasi WBC di lapangan. Periode terjadinya El Niño maupun La Niña berkorelasi dengan lonjakan populasi wereng dan peningkatan intensitas serangan. Temuan ini memberikan pemahaman yang krusial bagi para pemangku kepentingan dalam sektor pertanian untuk merancang strategi pengendalian hama yang lebih adaptif serta menyusun kebijakan mitigasi risiko yang berbasis pada prediksi iklim, guna menjaga keberlanjutan produksi padi di tengah tantangan perubahan iklim.

Abstract

Lemon is one of the natural ingredients that has the potential to be applied as a marinade in processed meat products such as satay. This study aims to determine the optimal percentage of lemon solution producing the best sensory quality in chicken satay products. The materials used in the study were chicken meat and local lemons. The study was conducted experimentally with different percentage treatments of lime solution, then organoleptic tests were carried out by trained panelists. The treatments consisted of T0: without lemon solution marinade, T1: 6% lemon solution marinade, T2: 9% lemon solution marinade, and T3: 12% lemon solution marinade. The data from the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) were then analyzed using ANOVA and continued with the Duncan test if there was a difference. The results showed that lemon solution marinade had a significant effect (P <0.05) on the organoleptic color, aroma, taste, and texture. The average color value is 3.72-4.80, aroma 3.32-4.72, taste 3.60-4.84, and texture 3.32-4.80. This study can be concluded that the T3 treatment (12% lemon marinade) is the most optimal, with an average color score of 4.40, aroma 4.72, taste 4.84, and texture 4.80, because it can produce the best sensory quality by improving the taste, aroma, and texture of chicken satay. The results of the study are expected to be a reference for the culinary industry in improving the quality and competitiveness of processed meat products made from chicken

Abstract

study aims to to determine consumer satisfaction and analyze factors related to consumer satisfaction with Bintang Jaya Brand Ground Coffee in North Lampung Regency. Coffee is one of the leading commodities in this area, and Bintang Jaya Brand Ground Coffee faces tight competition in the local market due to price differences with competitors. This study was conducted with a quantitative approach using a survey method of 100 respondents selected by accidental sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Spearman's Rank correlation with a 5% confidence level through SPSS version 26. Consumers are satisfied with Cap Bintang Jaya Ground Coffee. This satisfaction is shown by a positive perception of coffee quality. In addition, consumers are also satisfied with the simple design of the coffee packaging. Consumers are satisfied with the price set, because consumers already know about the quality provided by Cap Bintang Jaya Ground Coffee. Consumers are satisfied with the experience gained when buying and consuming Cap Bintang Jaya Ground Coffee. And Cap Bintang Jaya Ground Coffee is easy to find on the market, this also affects farmer satisfaction. 2. Based on the results of the Spearman rank correlation analysis, it can be seen that the factors that are positively correlated with consumer satisfaction are product quality and place/location.
