Abstract

Technology's darting advancement made digital literacy a key component in pre-service teacher professional development. Their digital literacy ability is reflected in their teaching, including designing learning media such as digital story-telling. Hence, this study is designed to understand how EFL pre-service teachers access information as a part of digital literacy to create digital storytelling learning media. The data were gathered from 28 students of the English Education Department in the Cross-Cultural Understanding course by having them write diaries to reflect on their experiences in designing digital storytelling learning media. Using a narrative inquiry method, the data were analyzed through three steps: repeatedly reading, coding, and categorizing it into thematic headings. The findings from data analysis indicate the mastery of various dimensions of digital literacy, namely photo-visual, reproductive, branching, informational, and social-emotional literacy, by EFL pre-service teachers, substantially contributed to the quality of teaching and student engagement in digital-based learning. This research underscores the need to integrate digital literacy training into teacher education programs to better prepare future educators for the demands of modern, technology-driven classrooms.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of class IV students at SDN 3 Rempek. This research was carried out at the Rempek 3 elementary school. The number of samples in this study was 1 class with 14 students and female students. This research is quantitative research, namely research that is used to process number-based data. This research is quantitative with pre-experimental methods. The experimental research method is a quantitative method, used if the researcher wants to conduct an experiment to find the effect of independent variables (influence) on dependent variables (influence) under controlled conditions. Data collection techniques in this research use observation and documentation techniques. Data collection instruments for carrying out the initial test (pretest) and carrying out the final test (posttest) the results of this research are: Based on the pretest data analysis, there are 8 students who are classified in the high category with a percentage of 57%, 6 students who are classified in the medium category with a percentage of 43% . Based on posttest data analysis, there were 12 students who got a score of 75 in the very high category with a percentage of 86%, 2 students were in the high category who got a score of 74 with a percentage of 14% of the total sample. The total number of average pretest scores obtained was 18,286 and the total number of average posttest scores obtained was 21,357. The range of scores between the pretest and posttest scores is 3,071 and the total range between the average pretest and posttest scores if squared is 9,433

Abstract

Abstract Ilawati (2024). This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research entitled Analysis of the Implementation of the Storytelling Method on Students' Speaking Ability in Indonesian Language Learning in Class IV of Kayangan 1 State Elementary School for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This research aims to analyze the implementation of storytelling methods which include; firstly, planning the application of the storytelling method to students' speaking skills, secondly, implementation of the application of the storytelling method to students' speaking abilities in Indonesian language learning and also to analyze the impact or implications of the storytelling method on students' speaking abilities. The results of this research show that: first, planning the application of the storytelling method to speaking skills includes: materials, media, strategies and techniques. Second, the implementation of the application of the storytelling method on speaking skills through several stages, namely the opening stage, the story telling stage, and the closing stage and the impact of the application of the storytelling method on speaking skills, namely the students' courageous attitude and appearing confident when speaking in front, mastery of vocabulary , enthusiasm and students' moral attitudes. Meanwhile, teachers can really help and make teaching and learning activities easier. Keywords: Storytelling Method, Speaking Ability, Indonesian language

Abstract

This research is based on the lack of interest in learning of grade 5 students at SDN 7 Sambik Bangkol. This research is a quantitative research with a field research design where the researcher goes directly to the research location, namely class 5 at SDN 7 Sambik Bangkol with a sample of 34 students and uses a pretest and posttest. There are 2 research variables, namely student learning interest as an independent variable (x) and storytelling method as a dependent variable (y). Instrument validation in this study used expert judgment. Analysis of this research data is descriptive analysis and assumption testing as well as using the t test in testing research hypotheses. The results of this research have a significant effect between variable x and variable y as evidenced by the results of the t test carried out, namely the t value < 0.05 in accordance with the decision making requirements, if the t value < 0.05 then there is a significant influence on the 2 variables studied. The result of the t value in this research is 0.003 < 0.05, meaning that the hypothesis in this research is accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that cause initial reading difficulties in class II students at SDN 3 Rempek and teachers' efforts to overcome initial reading difficulties in class II students at SDN 3 Rempek in the 2023/2024 academic year. This type of research uses a descriptive qualitative type with a case study approach. The data sources in this research were obtained through the process of interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques are: data condensation, data presentation, and data verification. The conclusion of this study found that the factors causing students' learning difficulties occurred due to two factors, namely: internal factors and external factors. The internal factors of the students themselves are intellectual and psychological factors, while external factors include the family environment, school environment and teacher factors. Efforts made by teachers to overcome difficulties in learning to read at the beginning of grade II students are: (1) diagnosing students' difficulties, (2) applying the alphabet method and syllable method, (3) reading 10 minutes before starting learning and before going home, (4) collaborate with students' parents, (5) Provide additional hours, and (6) Provide reading materials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze ADAB Project learning as a means of mastering the collaboration skills of students of SDN 7 Juara Barat for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research was carried out in grade 4 of SDN 7 Juara Barat with a total of 23 students. This study uses qualitative research with a case study approach, data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Data sources were obtained from school principals, classroom teachers and students of SDN 7 Juara Barat. The data analysis technique in this study was carried out in three stages, namely 1) data condensation, 2) data display, and 3) conclusion drawing or verification, while the validity of the data was verified through triangulation techniques and source triangulation. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran, ada 3 tahapan yang dilakukan oleh guru yaitu Tahap perencanaan, pelaksnanaan dan evaluasi. Pada Tahap perencanaan meliputi menentukan materi pembelajaran yang akan di ADAB Project-kan, mengkaji karaktristik siswa, Menyusun rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran ADAB Project (RPP ADAB Project), merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran, menentukan jadwal pelaksanaan pembelajaran ADAB Project, menyiapkan sumber belajar dan lembar kerja siswa (LKPD) dan Menyusun alat penilaian/evaluasi. Pada Tahap pelaksanaan ialah penerapan pembelajaran ADAB Project sesuai dengan tahapan-tahapan pembelajaran ADAB Project. There are four stages of the ADAB Project, namely asking questions, assisting with investigations, inviting work and sharing results. Meanwhile, at the evaluation stage, teachers conduct assessments, the aspects that are assessed are attitudes and products. The supporting factors for ADAB Project learning include teachers' ability to implement ADAB Project learning, student enthusiasm, adequate facilities, and the availability of learning resources. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors for learning the ADAB Project come from students, namely 4th grade students who are still in the transition stage from low to high grades, so they need more control so that the classroom atmosphere remains conducive. In addition, the inhibiting factor for the implementation of ADAB Project learning is time limitations and requires costs. As for the impact of ADAB Project learning on students' collaboration skills, ADAB Project learning can improve and develop students' collaboration skills, this can be seen from students' ability to work together, responsibility to complete projects, ability to establish communication and ability to make agreements through compromise, overall these skills are very good.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mengetahui kemampuan anak mengenal warna. (2) Mengetahui penggunaan meida clay dalam stimulus perkembangan anak. (3) Mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan anak setelah menggunakan media bermain clay. Penelitian ”Peningkatan Kemampuan Anak Mengenal Warna Melalui Media Clay di Kelompok Cerdas BKB Cerdas Ceria Ketinggring Kalianget Pada Semester Genap Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024” ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di BKB Cerdas Ceria dilaksanakan pada 2 siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 pertemuan. berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara bersama guru kelas Cerdas BKB Cerdas Ceria peneliti menemukan bahwa dari seluruh jumlah siswa yaitu 15 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data diantaranya adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Konsep media yang menarik membuat anak lebih mudah di dalam mengenal warna. Peningkatan kemampuan mengenal warna dengan penggunaan media clay pada anak usia dini di kelas Cerdas BKB Cerdas Ceria Ketinggring Kabupaten Wonosobo dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan awal anak mengenal warna masih cukup rendah berdasarkan hasil observasi. 2) Penggunaan media clay untuk menstimulus anak mengenal warna dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. 3) Peningkatan kemampuan anak mengenal warna pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan meski belum singnifikan, Peningkatan terjadi pada siklus II dimana kemampuan anak mengenal warna di kelompok Cerdas BKB Cerdas Ceria mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang diharapkan peneliti sehingga dapat diputuskan untuk tidak melanjutkan ke siklus berikutnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi metode fitrah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab untuk siswa kelas X di sebuah SMAIT di Bekasi. Metode fitrah, dikembangkan oleh Irsyad Trust Ltd pada tahun 2018 di Singapura, menitikberatkan pada keterampilan berbicara dengan teknik demonstratif. Penelitian ini dipicu oleh keberhasilan alumni SMAIT Bekasi yang diterima di LIPIA dan STDI Jember. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mengacu pada perspektif Miles dan Huberman, mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi metode fitrah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di SMAIT Bekasi telah sesuai, tercermin dari nilai rata-rata siswa yang tinggi, pelaksanaan tahapan pembelajaran yang baik, dan ketersediaan sarana serta media pembelajaran yang lengkap. Faktor pendukung melibatkan sarana pembelajaran dan media pembelajaran, serta mutu guru bahasa Arab yang memiliki gelar Lc. Faktor penghambat mencakup kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa dan perbedaan kompetensi siswa.

Abstract

This study analyzes Rey Mbayang's song "Di Sepertiga Malam" using an expressive approach to understand the relationship between the author's emotional and spiritual experiences with the song's lyrics and melody. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis, combining data collection from lyrics, interviews, and the author’s biography. The analysis reveals that the lyrics reflect a profound spiritual experience, such as the practice of worship during the last third of the night, conveyed through symbolism and religious messages. The song's dominant soft melody creates a contemplative atmosphere, enhancing its emotional message. The expressive approach reveals that the song mirrors Rey's spiritual journey, serving as a medium to share his religious experiences with listeners. The conclusion highlights that this work not only holds artistic value but also functions as a medium to convey universal spiritual messages.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in gross motor skills in children aged 4-5 years through jumping rope games at PAUD Sarpisa Center Kec. North Galela. This research is Classroom Action Research (collaborative) which consists of two cycles and four meetings. The researcher acts as a teacher who carries out the learning scenario, while the collaborator is an assistant class teacher who acts as an observer. The research subjects were 9 children in class A PAUD Sarpisa Center, consisting of 4 boys and 5 girls. Data collection techniques are observation and field notes. The research instrument used an observation sheet in the form of a check list of children's gross motor skills. The collected data was analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this research show that there is an increase in children's gross motor skills through the jump rope game at PAUD Sarpisa Center. The increase in children's gross motor skills in cycle I was 55.5% or 5 children out of 9 children were in the criteria of very good, good, strong and balanced, there was an increase in cycle II, namely 88.9% or 8 children out of 9 children were in the criteria of very good and is good for strength and balance. Thus, the jump rope game can improve gross motor skills in children aged 4-5 years at PAUD Sarpisa Center Kec. North Galela.
