Abstract

This study centers on enhancing students’ reading abilities through the utilization of letter card media, implemented in Indonesian language instruction for second-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 01 Medan. The subjects of this study comprised all 23 students of class II-D. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted through a sequence of stages beginning with a pre-test, followed by two cycles of intervention, namely Cycle I and Cycle II. Data collection techniques included oral testing and observation sheets aimed at both teachers and students. Throughout the course of the intervention, a notable improvement was identified in students’ active engagement in the learning process. Evidence of this progress was reflected in the observation data for the Indonesian subject using the letter card media. In Cycle I, only 4 students (17.39%) met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC), while 19 students (82.60%) did not reach the expected standard. Conversely, in Cycle II, there was a significant increase, with 22 students (95.65%) achieving mastery and only 1 student (4.34%) still falling short. Overall, student participation in Cycle II demonstrated achievement that met the success indicators as defined by the MMC.

Abstract

clusive education is a strategic approach to ensuring justice and equity in educational access for all learners, including those with special needs. This article aims to explore various innovations in inclusive education practices, both theoretical and practical, with a focus on global, national, and local contexts—particularly in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The study draws on developmental theories (Bronfenbrenner, Piaget, Vygotsky), constructivism (Bruner), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and social justice frameworks to analyze effective strategies for creating adaptive and participatory learning environments. Findings indicate that although Indonesia has inclusive education policies in place, challenges such as the shortage of special education teachers, limited disability-friendly infrastructure, and low public awareness continue to hinder implementation. A case study in North Sumatra reveals that regulations like Regional Regulation No. 29 of 2016 provide a legal foundation, yet practical application still requires strengthened human resources and adequate facilities. Therefore, cross-sector collaboration and continuous innovation are essential to realizing truly inclusive learning spaces for all students.

This research uses a qualitative approach by looking at books and articles to collect information from different sources. The research shows that when teachers know how to use digital tools, they can use technology in creative ways in their lessons. This makes learning more interactive, personalized, and focused on the student. By using different digital tools and platforms, teachers can teach more effectively and give students access to learning materials from all over the world. Helping teachers get better at using digital tools should be part of a larger plan to make education better. This study shows that teachers who are good with technology are very important for creating new, effective, and lasting ways of learning.

Abstract

This study examines the legal accountability of motorcycle taxi drivers who act as narcotics couriers in Indonesia. Using a normative juridical method with an analytical prescriptive approach, the research analyzes laws and regulations related to narcotics crimes, the criminal responsibility of drivers, and the juridical review of the Unaaha District Court Decision Number 132/Pid.Sus/2020/PN.UNH. The findings indicate that the driver was proven to have unlawfully distributed Class I narcotics under Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics. Although the driver initially claimed ignorance of the package contents, evidence from the trial demonstrated elements of intent or gross negligence. The study concludes that criminal liability depends on the driver’s awareness and intention; deliberate participation constitutes a punishable offense, whereas genuine unawareness may exempt the driver from liability. This research underscores the importance of assessing mens rea (intent) and actus reus (action) in determining accountability in narcotics-related offenses.

Abstract

The handling of children in conflict with the law requires a special approach prioritizing their best interests and future. This study analyzes the legal protection provided to children during the prosecution process by the Public Prosecutor at the Belawan District Attorney’s Office and identifies obstacles in implementation. Using an empirical juridical method with a qualitative approach through field interviews and document analysis, the study reveals that the protection of children’s rights has not been fully implemented according to the restorative justice principles mandated by Law No. 11 of 2012 on the Juvenile Criminal Justice System. Challenges include the limited number of trained child prosecutors and the inconsistent application of the ultimum remedium principle. The findings highlight the gap between normative legal frameworks and practical realities, emphasizing the need to strengthen prosecutor capacity and adopt holistic approaches combining legal, psychological, and social dimensions.

Abstract

Protection of workers’ rights is a vital aspect of implementing social security in Indonesia. The enactment of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation brought significant changes to labor law, including adjustments to the mechanism of social security implementation previously governed by Law Number 24 of 2011 concerning the Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS). Using a normative juridical method with legislative, conceptual, and case approaches, this study analyzes secondary data from laws, doctrines, and court decisions. The findings show that despite the Job Creation Law reaffirming corporate obligations to register workers in social security programs, many corporations still neglect this duty due to weak supervision and limited enforcement. Administrative sanctions are strengthened, but criminal sanctions remain subsidiary and rarely applied. Obstacles to corporate criminal liability include difficulties in proving corporate intent, limited technical procedures for investigation, and weak coordination among authorities. The study recommends clearer implementing regulations to define corporate fault, representative liability, and proportional sanctions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies of Qur’an learning services through social media in an effort to increase the number of students at the Qur’an30Challenge institution. The background of this research is based on the high rate of Qur’anic illiteracy in Indonesia and the growing competition among online learning institutions that utilize social media as a promotional tool. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving institutional leaders and students. Data analysis was conducted descriptively through a triangulation approach to ensure data validity and reliability. The results of the study indicate that the marketing strategies implemented by Qur’an30Challenge generally meet digital marketing standards and have had a positive impact on increasing student enrollment. However, several aspects still require development, such as market segmentation expansion, pricing adjustments, brand communication consistency, long-term evaluation, promotional budget optimization, the use of influencers, as well as content innovation and service quality improvement. This study underscores the importance of adapting marketing strategies to the dynamics of social media and consumer behavior as a key factor for the success of online learning institutions.

Abstract

This study analyzes the music videos of the album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life" by Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS) using a semiotic approach. By applying Roland Barthes' theory, this study identifies the elements of signs, namely signifier and signified, as well as the interpretation of meaning through denotation and connotation. The music videos "I Need U," "Run," and "Epilogue: Young Forever" are the focus of the analysis, which depict themes of emotional struggle, self-discovery, and youth experiences. The results of the analysis show that the visuals in the music videos convey not only literal actions but also deeper cultural and psychological meanings, providing insight into how BTS communicates through complex narratives that resonate with their audiences. This study emphasizes the importance of semiotics in understanding the diverse meanings contained in music videos.

Abstract

Madrasahs initially evolved from traditional Islamic educational institutions centered on mosques and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This study aims to analyze the formation and development of madrasahs within the Indonesian national education system. The method used is a historical analysis, reviewing the pre-independence to post-independence periods, including the implementation of the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Three Ministers and the accompanying curriculum changes. The results show that madrasahs represent a blend of the pesantren model and the modern education system. Government policy strengthens the position of madrasahs by equalizing their status with public schools and developing a school-based curriculum. These findings confirm the strategic role of madrasahs in the national education system and contribute to the development of Islamic education policies that integrate religious values with national education.

Abstract

The diversity of language use in the surrounding environment reflects the richness of the Indonesian nation in terms of language and culture. The diversity of languages spread across various regions demonstrates that language is a vital part of a nation's identity. This research uses a literature review method, an approach that focuses on collecting, analyzing, and summarizing the results of previous research and expert opinions on the topic under study. The results show that language plays a crucial role in national identity and as a form of respect for the country. The younger generation should be able to maintain and uphold the Indonesian language as a manifestation of love and devotion to the homeland. However, in reality, the use of non-standard language is increasingly common in everyday life and is even considered commonplace. The influence of foreign languages and the flow of modernization are among the factors causing the emergence of slang among teenagers. This phenomenon is slowly shifting the position of standard Indonesian, whose sustainability should be maintained.
