The newest curriculum or well known as national curriculum has four goals in education of Indonesia. One of them is Higher Order Thinking Skills which means the output of teaching and learning process is required to have higher level of thinking. Thus, the Ministry of Education provides textbook for all level of schools; one of them is for Senior High School. This research aimed to investigate if HOTS is accommodated in English textbook provided by the Ministry of Education; focuses on the content of the textbook, in terms of questions and instructions provided and in relation to HOTS criteria which covers C4 (analyze), C5 (evaluate), and C6 (create). This research applied a qualitative method and used documentation and interview as the instruments. There are four respondents consisting of three English teachers from different schools, and one evaluation expert. The finding shows that HOTS have already been accommodated in English textbook. There are 116 of 211 HOTS questions with frequency 55%, 74 of 252 HOTS instructions with frequency 30%, and factual knowledge as the most dominant knowledge dimension in questions which have 90 of 211 with frequency 43%, and conceptual knowledge as the most dominant knowledge dimension in instructions which have 81 of 252 with frequency 32%. All questions and instructions provided are more about recalling information, guidelines or studies of concepts, describing a factual information and explaining the answer.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Mixed Methods Explanatory kuantitatif-kualitatif yang terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu penguasaan konsep pengelolaan sampah (X) dan variabel terikat yaitu perilaku ramah lingkungan siswa di SMK Wikrama Bogor (Y). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan antara penguasaan konsep pengelolaan sampah dengan perilaku ramah lingkungan siswa di SMK Wikrama Bogor. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Juli 2016 dengan populasi siswa SMK Wikrama Bogor tahun akademik 2015/2016 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 orang siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Multistage Random Sampling, dengan kriteria Slovin. Analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan melalui perhitungan statistik deskriptif, uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas menggunakan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas menggunakan uji Bartlett serta pengujian hipotesis data menggunakan teknik regresi linier sederhana dan statistik korelasi. Diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,403 dan hasil uji-t pada taraf signifikan a = 0,05 menunjukan thitung = 4,764 dan ttabel = 1,984, sehingga nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang kurang erat antara penguasaan konsep pengelolaan sampah dengan perilaku ramah lingkungan siswa di SMK Wikrama Bogor. Hasil penelitian kualitatif diperoleh dua faktor yang menyebabkan kurang eratnya hubungan yaitu faktor dalam diri dan lingkungan luar sekolah. Adapun faktor yang diperkirakan memiliki hubungan erat dengan perilaku ramah lingkungan siswa adalah kebijakan sekolah berupa hukuman dan konsistensi guru.

The research entitles Learning Management Using Accelerated Learning Approach and the Use of Alfa Brain Wave to Improve Reading Comprehension and Learning Motivation of Class VIII Zainab Students of SMP IT Rahmaniyah. The research was conducted in two cycles and there were four activities in each cycle: planning, doing, observing, and reflecting. The first cycle consisted of two treatments using accelerated learning and the use of alfa brain wave. In the first cycle, students’ score of Bahasa Indonesia subject was not optimal. The average score of the first cycle was 81.72. In the second cycle, there was an improvement of students’ score into 88.35. The classical score of students’ motivation in the first cycle was 74.19% and it was improved in the second cycle into 100%. From the research, it can be concluded that learning management using accelerated learning approach and the use of alfa brain wave is able to improve the ability of reading comprehension and learning motivation of class VIII Zainab students of SMP IT Rahmanyah

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan jenis kohesi gramatikal dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas X SMK Bina Budi Luhur Bogor, serta untuk mengetahui penggunaan jenis kohesi gramatikal yang paling dominan pada teks eksposisi siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini teks ekposisi siswa kelas X SMK Bina Budi Luhur Bogor. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka. Pengecekan keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi. Jenis kohesi gramatikal yang menjadi fokus penelitian, yaitu referensi endoforis, referensi eksoforis, konjungtor, substitusi, dan elipsis. Dari hasil analisis tersebut ditemukan penggunaan kohesi gramatikal sebanyak 150 data. Adapun jumlah temuan yang pertama ialah penggunaan referensi endoforis dengan total 44 temuan (29%). Kedua, penggunaan kohesi gramatikal berupa referensi eksoforis dengan total 25 temuan (17%). Referensi eksoforis berkaitan dan mengacu pada acuan sesuatu yang berada di luar teks. Ketiga, penggunaan kohesi gramatikal berupa konjungtor dengan total 60 temuan (40%). Keempat, penggunaan kohesi gramatikal berupa substitusi dengan total 14 temuan (9%). Substitusi berkaitan dengan pergantian suatu unsur bahasa oleh unsur lain dalam satuan yang lebih besar. Terakhir, penggunaan kohesi gramatikal berupa elipsis dengan total 7 temuan (5%). Dengan demikian, jumlah tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam teks eksposisi siswa ditemukan banyak penggunaan kohesi gramatikal. Adapun dari temuan data 30 teks eksposisi ditemukan jumlah sebanyak 150 data dan penggunaan alat kohesi gramatikal, yang paling dominan terdapat pada penggunaan kohesi gramatikal berupa konjungtor dengan temuan data 60 kutipan dengan presentase 40%.

This research is action research in school which aims to determine whether through a structured development efforts can improve the teachers competences in preparing lesson plan at SMP Negeri 3 Ciawi, Bogor, Indonesia. Research instrumen used the observation sheet. Action research was conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle, through the firts structured development show that the teachers’s competence in preparing lesson plan is 72% in good category. Its before the treatment was 66.89%. In the second cycle obtained changes in teacher competence in preparing lesson plan is 87.9%. Its in a very good category. Based on data can be concluded that through the structured development efforts can improve the teacher competence in preparing lesson plan.

ANALYSIS OF STUDENT’S LEARNING DIFFICULTIES IN UNDERSTANDING THE MATERIAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF LIVING THINGS CLASS XII MIPA SMAN 1 CIBUNGBULANG BOGOR DISTRICThis study aims to obtain information about students' learning difficulties on the material for the growth and development of living things that are studied in odd semester XII Mathematics and Natural Sciences and what factors are causing them. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The population in this study were all students of class XII MIPA in SMA Negeri 1 Cibungbulang in the academic year 2019/2020 with a sample of one class, namely class XII MIPA 1, amounting to 36 people consisting of 26 female students and 10 male students. Data in the form of student learning outcomes were collected using a description test instrument, amounting to 9 questions, while data regarding student responses to biology subjects and data to explore the factors causing student learning difficulties using a questionnaire or questionnaire. Data analysis using the description test found that 26 students out of 36 students achieved grades below the KKM which meant that 72% of students had learning difficulties. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that 72% of students have difficulty learning in understanding the material for growth and development in living things. The most difficulty level of students is in the medium category (38.9%) followed by the low (25%) and high categories (25%) i. Only 11, 1% of students in the very low learning disability category. Student interest, student attitudes, student health, family support, completeness of facilities and infrastructure of teaching methods and the general condition of the student's home environment already support the learning process and are not factors in causing learning difficulties experienced by students. Factors that cause students 'learning difficulties turned out to be due to the test questions which according to students were difficult to do because 55.5% of the questions included analytical questions (HOTS) so that students' test scores were relatively low on growth and development material in living things.

Penelitian ini dengan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika tentang Pejumlahan dan pengurangan dengan penyebut berbeda di kelas III A melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Number Head Together (NHT). Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI A di SDN Pengadilan 2 Kota Bogor sebanyak 39 siswa, dengan komposisi perempuan 19 siswa dan laki-laki 20 siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik dan alat pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif terhadap data berupa dokumen hasil pekerjaan siswa, daftar nilai dan lembaran observasi Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Number Head Together (NHT) dapat menjadi variasi pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi peserta didik sehingga terbukti meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di Kelas VI A di SDN Pengadilan 2 Kota Bogor. Sebelum menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Number Head Together (NHT) hasil belajar peserta didik hanya mencapai nilai rata-rata 66,15 kemudian terjadi peningkatan setelah menggunakan Pendekatan Pakem menjadi 74,61 pada siklus 1 dan 81,79 pada siklus 2. Oleh karena itu penerapan model pembelajaran Number Head Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dalam materi bilangan cacah.

Pemahaman konsep merupakan salah satu kecakapan atau kemahiran sains yang diharapkan dapat tercapai dalam belajar sains yaitu dengan menunjukkan pemahaman konsep sains yang dipelajarinya, menjelaskan keterkaitan antar konsep dan mengaplikasikan konsep secara luwes, akurat, efisien, dan tepat dalam pemecahan masalah. Pemahaman sains akan bermakna jika pembelajaran sains diarahkan pada pengembangan kemampuan koneksi sains antar berbagai ide, memahami bagaimana ide-ide ilmiah saling terkait satu sama lain sehingga terbangun pemahaman menyeluruh, dan menggunakan sains dalam konteks di luar sains seperti Optik dan Cahaya. Metode yang digunakan adah deskriptif analisis dengan instrumen yaitu angket. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dalam bentuk seminar dan workshop yang disampaikan oleh narasumber yang berkompeten. Narasumber ini akan menjelaskan dengan detail konsep optik dan cahaya serta merekomendasikan berbagai startegi pembelajarannya. Diharapkan dengan demikian pemahaman guru mengenai konsep optik dan cahaya mengalami peningkatan sehingga guru tidak lagi kebingungan menentukan startegi pembelajarannya yang sesuai. Bila strategi pembelajarannya sesuai diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep optik dan cahaya. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah pemahaman guru mengenai konsep optik dan cahaya dengan science integrated concept memiliki peningkatan ke arah yang lebih baik. Guru merasa lebih mudah dalam memahami, dan menyusun rencana pembelajaran untuk pembelajaran di kelas. Guru lebih tertarik karena materi optik dan cahaya tidak hanya dibahas dari sudut pandang fisika saja, tetapi dari sudut pandang biologi, kimia, dan lingkungan kegiatan sehari-hari. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa, dengan guru lebih menguasai science integrated concept, guru akan lebih paham mengenai pembelajaran IPA sesungguhnya dan lebih mudah dalam menyusun rancangan pembelajaran di kelas.

The research is aimed at improving students’ ability to write poems through the approach of whole language. The research is conducted at Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program in 2014. The instruments used to collect the data are pretest and post-test and also non-test instruments which are questionnaire and observational guidance and the researcher himself. The data analysis approaches used are qualitative and quantitative. The analysis of qualitative data was done by comparing the students’ improvement between pre and post cycle based on the students’ writing. The quantitative data is used for supporting the qualitative data. The improvement of students’ ability can be seen from the process of learning. The process includes: students’ experience in reading, writing, speaking, and listening is directed to language activity so that it is able to improve the students’ ability to write poems. The improvement is seen from the average score of pretest which improved in the posttest. The research result shows that there is improvement of students’ ability to write poems. The pretest shows that students who are able to write poems are 46%. After being treated at the first cycle, there is improvement into 61% or adequate. At the second cycle, there was second treatment and the result shows that the improvement is significant which is 81%. The percentage of students’ improvement is 76% between the first and the second cycles. The difference of effectiveness of the first cycle and the second is 39.6%.

The study is aimed at finding out a positive correlation between students’ intelligence and their achievement on civics. The research employed quantitative associative approach and correlation study. It was conducted in December 2014. The objects of the research were the students of class VA and VB of SD Negeri Ciomis 1 in the district of Ciomas, Bogor. There were totally 41 respondents. To validate the instrument for measuring interpersonal intelligence, Pearson Product Moment formula was used. To test the reliability of the instrument, Alpha Cronbach formula was employed. The data of students’ achievement were taken from their scores of the report. After being tested for its normality using liliefors, both of the sample groups are normally distributed since both of them have the score of L calculated of (0.1328) and Ltable of (0,1373) and when it was tested for homogeneity, the score was Fcalculated of (8,83) , Ftable (43,775). The hypothesis was tested by using the technique of simple regression analytical relation with Y= 66,51 + 0,13X which means that the correlation is significant. In the research, when there is one level increase of intrapersonal intelligence, then it will increase the students’ achievement on civics for 13 units. The simple correlation test shows that r = 0.89 which means that the correlation is very strong and the coefficient of determination is (r2) = 0.79 which means that the intrapersonal intelligence contributes as much as 79% on the students’ achievement on civics. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that there is a positive correlation between intrapersonal intelligence and students’ achievement on civics.
